as I said in the previous post the last patch is not very functional, as soon as the new patch is ready things should be better
at the moment the next patch still needs some sawing and stitching

I wonder if someone can help me? I was using the EC with Pinco's until my husband replaced my hard drive a few days ago. Now Pinco's UI is just stuck loading and never finishes, so I am forced to use the default EC which I don't like so much...
This is a fresh install of the EC on a new hard drive, it works fine until we try and install the latest version of Pinco's, my husband says he has followed the installation guide step-by-step. The UI patcher ran and patched Pinco's okay.
Here are the symptoms :
Running EC playsound, on pressing yes to 'run as admin' nothing happens.
Running UI patcher, neither 'start UO patcher' nor 'start UO game' does anything.
Running UO with the default UI selected all works fine, switching to Pinco's UI in game the loading screen shows and the game runs in the background but the loading screen never finishes loading.
Running UO with Pinco's UI selected the game runs in the background but the loading screen never finishes loading.
Windows 10, latest NVidia driver, .NET framework 2.0, Userdata folder deleted etc. and still not working.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

the loading screen will NEVER go away unless EC Playsound is active. In order to run EC Playsound make sure you have all the requirements.I wonder if someone can help me? Besides that the previous patch was a bit unstable, now it should be stable again
@Pinco After todays Patch I am still having issues with EC PlaySound stops responding and I have to delete everything out of the User Data Folder except for my Macros I dont know if this patch was supposed to fix that or not just a FYI it is still happening.

I think this happens because the user data folder doesn't have the read/write rights, try to fix it or a lot of garbage will start to pile up in there
make sure you are using the latest patch. For what I can see the shop opens fine from the help menu and from the action... also check if you have any error in case is still not working

there was a bug with the vendor search, but the rest looks fine for me. The you must wait... is not related to the UI unless something got stuck or you have crazy latency

In the spellbook you can set the auto-select for the creature to turn into, then wherever you use the spell it will always use that by default...
you don't need to drag them, by default there is the pet controls bar with the 5 main commands already in it, the bar is attached to the pets list. The bar is always visible if you have a controllable pet out.
Are we allowed or does it mess things up for us to change the hotkeys on this new pet icon bar? I have had the same F key macros for years and it's hard to change. Or could we pull them into the F Key hotbar to F9 F10 etc? Don't wanna mess up my game, its' working pretty good right now and don't wanna make a problem.
yes, you can change the hotkeys or the actions in that bar, just remember that is made for pet controls so it appears and disappears based on if you have a pet out or not

2. Already tried and it can't be done because of some stupid client limitation that prevents from getting the item properties (in gumps lIke the jewelry box) unless you have the cursor over the item.... unless I find some workaround
I don't really know how it work that thing... it is not a normal container, it's a gump like the jewelry box and it can't have sub-containers because every item inside a container will be shown in the main page... I'll check out how it works and let you know
ok, I've found out that there was a button that gave you a target to "upload" the item inside the bankbox -.-
I've done that if you drop the item inside will do all that stuff on his own so it's at least more like a normal container

By the way if someone has the chance, you should try the container sort on a fat container and see if it still cause lag, the last changes should have improved the entire sorting process

I did a few Scalis with our EM and the loot sort seems to be better. When it went public It was bad in grid view but list view was better and it came up quickly but it still seemed to roll continually even though loot sort was turned off. Made it impossible to click on an item to loot it, you'd just get the wrong item. We have an event coming soon and if I get looting rights to the boss, we'll give it another go.
well, the items rolling on public loot is normal and has nothing to do with the sorting since that it's the CC people moving stuff around and forcing the list to refresh over and over again, and it's worst in grid mode because the client has to re-draw all the slots too so it's extra work for the client
The sorting as for now is done just once (when you open the container) and it just analyze new items (not the ones that are returning back into the container, the item must be something totally new), so it does not affect the refresh, only the first time you open the loot (if you close it, it will reset obviously
)

is in the chat section of the user settings, there is a slide bar that you move around, if it's 0 is disabled otherwise it starts logging

1. do you have any reports of some kind of lag while running? its like i would have poor connection where the toon stops for a tiny bit each half screen or so

the lag exist if you use an old profile, you have to get rid of user data completely in order to run lag free...
that bars is a quick way to check you hp/mana/stamina and it's static at the bottom of the game window. That bars will get more visible while you're hp/resource became scarce

I'm experiencing the exact same problem!
Regarding 1: I did start with a new profile. I still get the lag. It is literally as you describe. Run half a screen, stop for one split second, run for half a screen, lag, etc. I found that it happens when I change areas. I relog and it fixes it.
Regarding 2: Those transparent bars were driving me nuts. I was wondering what was causing it. Well, at least now I know it's a built in thing and not something that I can remove or move.
Did you clear the entire user data file and not just your profiles?

The bars were never contemplated to be removed since they are designed to see when you are at low hp/resources without taking the eyes out of the game area, so that you could have smaller status bars without losing sight of the important data. Also is a way to push people in having more game and less UI covering the whole screen
About the lag, you need to check the number of healthbars and hotbars, too many of any of those and you lag a LOT, for hotbars you shouldn't go over 7x total slots or things will start to be bad. Also the overhead healthbars consumes a bit more resources and cause lag to certain people (not everyone tho)...
oh and don't forget to check for errors, if the client is puking errors like if there is no tomorrow, you'll have some SERIOUS lag

In my case, I don't think the lag is caused by healthbars/hot bars. I also did a clean reinstall of UO and deleted my user files. I'll get this lag when no one including monsters are around me. I could be checking spawn in blackthorn dungeon (lag while running there...so almost zero spawn) or outside of shadowguard. It's not that big of a deal since reclogging takes like 5 seconds and fixes it. I generally only experience the lag once every 4 hours of game play so I can live with it.
