We do not know yet. Do not know if it will be from the Cargo turn in or a new item chance from a boss on High seas. Will these be a limited availability pet or a forever more? Debating on upgrading my accounts to High Seas and this would make the decision relatively easy.
And the final product..Surprise surprise..It is rideable, and shaped like a seahorse..and not a slimy toothless mudpuppy like creature! My thoughts exactly!
I do hope it is just a placeholder sprite they put in just to keep from spoiling the real artwork. Wouldn't that be nice
surprise is a water mount only usable in the water and it looks like a dolphin and if a gargoyle dismounts u at sea u die :OAnd the final product..Surprise surprise..It is rideable, and shaped like a seahorse..and not a slimy toothless mudpuppy like creature!
And then I woke up..![]()
Would be cool to tame Dolphins and put mines on their backs to damage ships. I guess Peta would get involved.surprise is a water mount only usable in the water and it looks like a dolphin and if a gargoyle dismounts u at sea u die :O
How about sharks with "frickin laser beams attached to their heads?" -Dr. EvilWould be cool to tame Dolphins and put mines on their backs to damage ships. I guess Peta would get involved.
The chiloc files updates (which were available on our website before the patch went live) pointed to it being a reward bought from the vendor requiring Grandmaster tamer. You also need high seas to activate the pet or be traded the pet and it cannot be released and retamed because it poofs.Still no idea how to get it right? Could be turn in points or something else.
DANG YOU! You just HAD to bring it up! *thinks to self, something about pouring salt in an open wound*They want to tease us with monthly items so we keep doing it. I still need more Parrots so Im fine.
They are saving the Whips for LAST. @Keith of Sonoma
Glad it will be from points. Now we need to find out what Corgul will drop. Whips? hehe
Now that would be a pet I would work for.Too bad Triton doesn't look like a parrot.
They also said in the recent Meet and Greet that Tritons will be bought with doubloons. The chiloc files updates (which were available on our website before the patch went live) pointed to it being a reward bought from the vendor requiring Grandmaster tamer. Of course the developers have been known to change their mind, but it could be assumed this is still their intent.
I figured she just saw the Kitchen Set and said yes. From the meet and greet:
Lord Bytor says: Is there an eta on the Kitchen set or the Triton ?
EM Faine Morgan says: (she's saying I'm old)
Lord Bytor says: heh
Mesanna says: next month I believe
Kyronix did not respond. But the Queen says next month.
Any guess on what points range we might be expecting for a Triton pet Reward ?Rising Tide event, turning in Maritime Cargo to the Pirate merchant in Bucs Den: Ultima Online Publish 104: Rising Tide Event Guide | uo-cah.com
Nope. All stats in the bestiary are based on the last implementation of the Triton when it left Test Center. If they did decide to change it behind the scenes before release then we will update accordingly.Y'all going to remove all stats taken from test center which might be irrelevant now?
Statue and Triton are both tradeable. Statue can be traded to anyone, regardless of Taming or High Seas status. You must have High Seas to pop the Statue or to own the actual Triton pet.Is it tradeable once out of the statue?
Depends on how many High Seas accounts you have. 10k-ish doubloons with 1 accountHow many doubloons can you get on average from defeating a beacon?
How long it takes depends on High Seas enabled accounts.I don't have high seas; is 140,000 doubloons a lot? Does that take a long time to get?
Looks like if you get one around 70% intensity or better that you can make quite the monster.
I popped 10 this morning. ZERO over 120 Wrestling. The highest was 118.6.Popped 10 Tritons on Europa. Their spawn range is unchanged.
Here is a quick summary of what we saw:
6 of 10 were over 120 Wrestling (128.3 was the Highest).
3 of 10 were between 115 and 120 Wrestling
1 of 10 was below 115 Wrestling (113.8 was the lowest).
189.9 was the highest Resisting Spells seen.
Intensity ranged from 29% to 72%. Intensity rating can swing wildly on these due to the overcapped skills. I recommend not dismissing a pet until you put it into the planner to see what it can become.
For example, here is a 29% Triton planner: Saved Planner | uo-cah.com
Here is what a 72% can become: Saved Planner | uo-cah.com
Looking forward to seeing what others come up with. Lots of build potential on these.

I am impressed, you must have LOTS of Stables' slots available !!!I popped 10 more, 5 over 120 wrestling! (highest is 129.2) Getting better.
All the pets that start as statues go poof if they are released or go wild.".....and it cannot be released and retamed because it poofs."
And what if the pet goes "wild" as it has happened, sometimes, when fighting Monsters for other tamed pets ?
It is not a new thing to a tamer that one's own pet might go "wild" all of a sudden, and their pet needing to be retamed....
If this was to happen to a Triton is would go "poof" ?
This cannot be....

I have heard it several times of Tamers having their pet go wild while in the middle of a combat....I have never even once had any of my pets go wild on me, and I've had a lot of pets across 2 tamers. If you have pets going wild on you, then you're likely doing it wrong.
They go poof.I have heard it several times of Tamers having their pet go wild while in the middle of a combat....
Sometimes it was also due to disconnect or server down and the pet not being stabled properly, whatever.... thing is, that the pet went wild....
What if this will happen with Tritons ?
