installed all again...pinco ui 3.6e and decors icons....

same problem..in the icon picker for macros many not in list....


(have i to copy the full decors folder(icon,mods ect.)
on other computer (XP) all icons are there and i only copied the icon folder in the ui folder

:) a day without a problem is a boring day ;)

yes, you have to extract the full folder into the pinco's ui folder and overwrite everything when requested...

For anyone else with this problem, you also have to do this in the right order, first Pinco's UI, then the texture pack, then the icons. And you have to do this every time you upgrade, in that order.

how i can use those new scripts?
for example...show/hide backpack or skill window? :)

Yes you do have to add copy and paste those commands into the command macro line manually. What Pinco has done is made those script commands work.

ok...got virtue to work (almost ) :)

dont work.

virtues gump is one of the generic gump created server side, can be closed only manually...

Lots of good Icons in the Decors pack and other packs that have been released before. Unfortunately I don't want to overwrite and have a bunch of grey on my computer screen.

Really suprising that there are not more Icons available with the default Gold theme to them.

How the hell to you guys play with this dark and dreary colors all over your computer screen?

To each his own.

It guess it's incumbent upon myself to learn how to create Icons and make them compatible with the Pinco UI.

I don't mean to rant it's just frustrating to me when I see the potiental of EC Client and the vast amount of actions and Icons that were not included by the powers that be.:thumbdown:

My graphical skills are not so good, but I can do the icons that you need, just tell me which one you need :D
Make a list and I'll add them to the slayer package (already available on the download area).

On a different note: how do you make a macro for equipping different flute of renewals? when i try it counts all of them as the same type and just ends up using the last one clicked.

all kind of slayers are already present in the package downloadable... however about the renewal flute:
dye it with the plant dyes and they will be different ;)

Clean install fixed the problem. I should have done that before I posted. I just installed over the old version when I upgraded.

here is some news:
- I found the lag problem and solved it.
- I found the memory problem, but is a game problem... still doing it with default UI too. Every time a mobile or particle effect or an item enter in your screen will be loaded in your memory, there it will stays until you don't restart the game :(
This is a HUGE bug and should be fixed by devs as soon as possible, because this is the cause of crash when corgul does fire ring!
Here is some data from memory usage with Default UI:
Client start: 159,712 Kb
Logged In: 292,308 Kb
Open Paperdoll and Backpack: 299,164Kb
Running From Home using the crystal portal to the Humility Champion (in the area without monsters): 341,108Kb
Enter the champion spawn area: 456,084Kb
Crossed the champion spawn area passing through the altar: 517,960Kb
Passing near the same group of monster will increase by 3,000Kb every times

I hope this could help :)
have maximum lag on half way to nafrey...then i hide and restart and lag is gone
in nafreys lair if i try to push the stones i often crash back to desktop
is this the game memory problem you discribe ?

and btw. the main menu script will not work..all other work , any suggestion on this?

yes, every special effect will charge your memory untile the game crash or makes you extremely laggy... but this seems to be secondary to everything else :(

The command works fine, check for typo :p

what do you think of one of those freeware memory refresher tools would this help ?

(i copy/paste the command..so no typo possible i think)

No they don't help, they will freeze the game, not only that any open program that has its memory removed from the ram will actually worsen in "lag" until it can get itself back into the ram which is not always "right away".

made the macro with copy paste and manuell, both dont work....
makes me crazy if think dont work :eyes:

problem solved by using my brain for 5 sec. ;)
I play with 8gb but nothing changes, because the game allocate every particles into the memory and ONLY the game can remove it by using a garbage collector.

The EC garbage collector is clearly broken. The devs could easily test it by fighting the shimmering effusion: after 10 minutes the lag will be huge due to all the wisps effect.

This problem is the same that let be visible death monsters with 0 life, or creatures far away that still invisible in your screen.

I hope supreem could fix it as soon as possible, because this is a great problem of stability and the main cause of crash.

You really think its the main cause of crashing? I mean, I have gotten my memory usage up to the 2gig+ range just for UO and it did not crash...it becomes unplayable I agree, but no crashing. Only crashing I get seems to be completely freaking random and appears, to me, to be a separate problem from the memory leak issue. (Although I guess they could be related just not in the way I described)

there are different causes, but the invisible mobiles + particles stored in your memory + houses cache not working good + some other part of cheap coding, increases the crash possibilities esponentially.
We all know that windows is not reacting well when an app is using too much memory...

Other the memory leak, there is some kind of null exception generated when you have some packet loss. I can't replicate this well but there are 2 other cases:

When you enter in an area not cached after recall/login and in this moment you have some packet loss. In this moment seems there is a timeout when is over, the client will show what he have or throw a connection lost. If you try to interact with an object not completely received in certain case you crash.
The object non completely received usually is a mobile and the missing data is the body id.

OR another cause is when the client try to load a mobile that is already invisible in your screen (invisible because was not being removed correctly). Like create 2 identical object with the same id...


However I'm not sure about this 2 because I cannot replicate them, but fixing the garbage collector will surely stabilize the client...

Pinco, I have to finally post and say thank you.

I had used the EC exclusively for about 8 months and finally gave it up in protest over the male paper doll. The modders had kept me using the EC as long as I did though, it was amazing to see what you guys came up with but I just couldn't keep looking at those sandals. I still used it for easy suit building but not for much else.

Well a few weeks ago I started using your UI and updating it regularly and now I'm starting to use the EC more and more. The benefits far outweigh my revulsion of the paper doll. Great work on this and thank you so much for sharing with the community.

I do however have a few requests. I'm not sure if they are possible and I'm also not sure if they have been requested already so I apologize in advance if I'm rehashing old stuff.

1. An undress bag: it would be nice to designate a container as a dress container like in UOA. So with a macro you could undress or dress to and from the container. Great for switching suits between characters.

2. I'm not even sure how to word this request. In UOA I've got a macro that cast spell trigger and it automatically selects the bombard spell to load. I know we cant "record" in EC per se but is there anyway we can make this type of macro? It would be great for enchant weapon too.

3. Multiple Mobile bars which we can then select to be a friend only or murderer only. Similar to what Decors shows in the 6th post of the Screen shot sticky on this forum.

4. Add in some sandal straps for males in the EC...irks me to no end, I did not collect Birkenstocks for the last 10 years!! :bdh:


So that last one is a bit tongue in cheek but the rest are actual requests. Thank you again for the great UI Pinco.

1. Is a bit tricky to use this tool... I've made it, but the major risk is the problem of items stuck on cursor and not droppable (you have to logout for fix) and the risk to drop items on the ground...

2. it's doable, you just have to make it :)
Put spell trigger on target current, delay, bombard target cursor/current
obvioulsly it needs some tests but could work :)

3. The mobile bar has it, just use the right click on the big arrow to show which one you need :)

4. Actually we can't edit the paperdoll graphics even when I'd like to... :(

Thanks for addding the commands to open up paperdoll, skills, map, etc from the hotbars. I'm not crazy about the Icon I have linked to them all but it sure is nice being able to pull up those with one click of a mouse. Thanks :thumbsup:

The slayer Icons are awesome: Genius idea adding in monsters resists and slayer vulnerabilities. How difficult was that? I notice some monsters info are missing. Is that something we players could help with in increasing the size and scope of the database?

What is the possibility on a timer for Evasion?:thumbsup:

I still need more Icons. I might have to take Llewen up on his offer. I tried playing around with some icons but I wasn't happy with the way they turned.

I need to find myself an artist who is good, enjoys creating stuff like this. Maybe bribe them with some in game gold.

I had issues with shrinking stuff down to size and getting it to look good. Sometimes I would try and crop stuff and I'd end up losing parts of the picture I was trying to make an icon out of. Practice makes perfect I guess...

all you can disable is on the context menu of the warnings, the rest can't be disabled :p

if you get missing monster data, tell me the name of the beast and I'll check, actually there are few typo around that makes the data unavailable. Certains other monster is not present at all so I'll need all the data... However, just tell me the name and I can tell you what's the problem :)

yes, making icons is not that easy, Nalif has great graphical skills, you could ask him :p

you have to copy the macros manually by opening the profile files with notepad...
