It is my gaming name. Most owner do not hide behind false names. Isn't it nice how people are so rude.
His real name was stated in the post announcing his purchase of the site. It's never been a secret. Most owner do not hide behind false names. Isn't it nice how people are so rude.
lol wut? Most owner do not hide behind false names. Isn't it nice how people are so rude.
Dude. My avatar is totally me.Wait!?!.....What?????
People don't use their actual names on Forum sites???
Well this is just preposterous.....what's next, people not looking like their Avatars or even the same sex as their pics??????
I need to go lie down.....this level of deceit has made me doubt the very fabric of existence.
Lol, I don't know if that's comforting or just terrifying.Dude. My avatar is totally me.
I wish! Here I thought flutter owned stratics and RON BRON was jus a clone account
blahahahaPlease don't clean up this thread again, LF should have to pay for that Joe Biden type of gaff for a few weeks at least...
My first change is going to be to add covered wagons to the forums.Well, I hope whoever ends up buying it keeps the inevitable changes at a minimum.
If I win at the casino this week I promise to purchase this site.
If I don't well... dammit.
Whoa whoa whoa, you will change nothing! My first change is going to be to add covered wagons to the forums.
That is not his reasoning, let me assure you of that. I'm not at liberty to discuss why he's decided to sell it, but I will say that I understand and even though I know it is a large risk on who the new owner will be, I have to support his reasoning.Costs
The only mandatory cost associated with the website is the server. The website is currently hosted on a cloud server with DreamHost for $100/month. Prior to September 2015, the website was hosted for free as a part of a promotional offer, so the monthly expense was $0.
Maybe this is the reason for the sale. All very well when there are no mandatory costs attached but as soon as there is its ditched.
You mean the money coming in that has more than doubled since Ron bought Stratics? The site is and has been heading in the right direction financially, that's why I posted above that I know costs were not the definitive factor in him deciding to sell.Seriously though, if I had time I wouldn't hesitate to pitch the cash.
Realistically one should invest in some temps or pay the current volunteers, to come in and update the information and website rapidly.
You don't bring hits and advertisers with broken info.
I am kind of confused how Ron thought cutting the websites real estate down would turn a profit.
300 a month? You mean the money coming in that has more than doubled since Ron bought Stratics? The site is and has been heading in the right direction financially, that's why I posted above that I know costs were not the definitive factor in him deciding to sell.
But we haven't taken down any real estate that wasn't gone when he took over ownership of the site!300 a month?
Ads = cash. When you take down that real estate it loses profit potential.
I'm not saying he did anything wrong, was merely speculating at the reasoning.
I don't know 10 people with $600 burning a hole in their pockets.Hmm, what if 10 of us chipped in? $600 each. Just thinking...
I did a few weeks ago and decided to buy an electric guitar.I don't know 10 people with $600 burning a hole in their pockets.
My extra cash seems to go to blurays. Although I want to get a Roku or the Apple version for my cottage. We have sucky Cable TV up there cause we don't wanna spend a fortune on it when we're just up there every now and then.I did a few weeks ago and decided to buy an electric guitar.
Way to smack us little people with your Cottage ownership. My extra cash seems to go to blurays. Although I want to get a Roku or the Apple version for my cottage. We have sucky Cable TV up there cause we don't wanna spend a fortune on it when we're just up there every now and then.

Unfortunately, I suspect most of the goblins are almost as poor as I am.
Maybe just put an X on it or something so we can close it. Don't wanna interfere with capitalismWe will turn the banner off, thanks for the report.

Ron Bron
The Romany kind, hopefully. My first change is going to be to add covered wagons to the forums.
