I did, and your UI is installed, but when I load up UO and hit ESC within UO, the version number is still 4.1i
I just noticed the Guards orange button pop up in the status bar when I moved into a guardzone in Fel, perhaps I am actually running 4.2 and for some reason 4.1i is still showing up in the pop-up menu?

A small bug. The item properties info on relics has started to give false readings. With a 120 gargoyle at queens forge, many reported relic unravel into non - relic residue or essense. The new item information no longer seems to show item intensity (ie over 400) so its difficult to predict unravelling strength. Can you either see why the false reporting is occuring, or reinstate the item intensity info?

it works as intended... if you enter in a guard zone the button appears, if you exit from a guard zone the button disappears...

I have both boxes checked in the 'Items Extra Properties Settings' section, and I've noticed this bug too...

Most things that say they will unravel into a relic don't. :(

I'm working to fix the formula, I've put a wrong sign that breaks all :p

In the meantime I'm trying to add more check in order to gather a best precision :)

NOTE: the intensity is write under all the properties and not on the top like it was in previous versions.

I'm also having a problem with the list view not showing all items consistently. I don't know if this a client issue, an issue with the UI, or an issue with the texture pack. I'll post in that thread as well and submit a bug report.

The problem specifically is that the right hand scroll bar doesn't show consistently even though there are items in the container that are not visible. This is both in the legacy enhanced container mode, and in the regular enhanced container mode.

The problem with lag in the grid view is a problem with the Third Dawn texture pack, the problem with the list view is a problem with Pinco's UI.

Also the fishing details are no longer showing! the types of fish (shore etc) also it is not giving totals for the quest crates ?

When I click on sound Manager I get the following error message, how do I fix it? I read it all and don't really understand it. I didn't want to start messing with things and screw it all up lol.

this error happen because you don't have the latest patcher installed :)

no, the patcher is the only thing that you must update manually.

Correct reward: 10% Ringmail mining glove, 90% POF
Currently showing: 45% Prop tool, 10% stud leather glove, 45% garg pick

at this point I'm going to rebuild the reward table because the default one is too old...

Sorry, I was saying that that button indicated I had 4.2 installed even though 4.1i or whatever was showing up when I look at the version number.

I downloaded the installer 1.3 and ran it, and it is now showing 4.2b and everything seems to be fine.

My only problems are that the UI patcher can't determine the version number and following that, I have to empty the UserInterface directory since it seems to still have a user permission problem with a "directory not empty" message. I can fix the permission problem with a script that I can run every now and then, so it's not a big issue, but the version number problem means downloading the whole thing.

That's not a problem for me - I have a fast connection, however I know you don't want people downloading the full version every time.

I don't think you should worry about it too much since it's probably tied to running UO on Mac OS X, but I'm going to look into it since the permission problem may also be causing the UI Patcher not to be able to determine the patch level.

There maybe something I can do before running the UI Patcher that helps it determine the version number, and if I can fix that with a Automator action, I could upload that action to your website and others can use it. An Automator action is basically the same thing as a script that somebody could download and run before running the UI Patcher. Actually you can set it to do certain actions and then run the UI Patcher, so it would only be one step.

Thanks for the information. When the next version of your UI comes out, before I run the patcher, I will take a look at it. These two things might be very simple to deal with.

pinco is their a way to open multiple dds files at same time if say we wanted to create a mosaic of all one group like skills for example

I don't think is possible... unless you find a plugin for gimp/photoshop :p

Forgive me, Pinco.....but I'm wiping tears from my eyes from laughing so hard....I decided I needed to give UO a rest for a couple of days, I fire up the game via the updater and I get a message saying the updater is out of date and I need to....get this....update the updater!

I laughed so hard and so loud I thought a neighbor was going call the cops :)

The last time I laughed this hard about online gaming was when I tried World of Warcraft.

That was for an entirely different reason though. It makes sense that you'd update your updater. I love the continuing, ongoing improvement approach you take, Pinco. I really appreciate. The notion was simply funny. I damned near busted a hernia laughing when I tried World of Warcraft because it was so over-the-top juvenile.....odd things amuse me though :)

Just updated.. Is there a way to revert back to the old paperdoll and map? They are very large. :(

I just tried to move my paperdoll and couldn't. It had become locked, I don't remember doing that. I unlocked it and was able to move and scale it.

yes it's a funny thing :D

However update a program in execution is technically a bit tricky and could be problematic with non-windows OS so I choose this way :p

The scale mode is your friend :p
Resize the map as much as you can before scale, and remember that the green button will switch between tactical (big map) and normal. Technically are the same thing, but the tactical one is made to be the bigger version to be used for "explore" the area.

The paperdoll is not much bigger than the other, just scale it to make it on perfect size ;)

So I've scaled the paperdoll down to fit, and now the wearables are so small I can hardly see them. :(

it's all tied to the permission problem... if the version is unknow is because version.xml is missing and if is missing is because it fails to download/write it to disk :p
Where does version.xml write itself?

Just to be clear, I love the Pinco's UI paperdoll. It looks cool, and having everything in the same window rocks.

Okay, that solves one mystery - I need to check permissions again, because I don't see a version.xml in the main game folder.
but what about the temp folders where the files are downloaded?
I'm not sure, because that temp folder is created when the patcher runs and then is deleted. I will keep an eye on it next time I patch.

I think with the version.xml thing potentially solved, I've got it all worked out for Mac OS X users.

Pinco, awesome job on the installer and everything!!! Thanks for letting me have my boxes default to the size I set them to! And the waypoint icons on the map are pure genious!

I have noticed that the things that I would find in loot from stygian dragon that originally said they would yeild fragments now say they won't, so I'm assuming that the calculation was fixed. I notice that you can now set the calculations to take into consideration all the human/garg/forge options, which is awesome. Is there any way to make the fragment producing items glow or be highlighted in corpses the way treasure maps tell the level when they are in the corpse, and then display differently in your pack? Sometimes if you loot a stygian or other boss, there is a lot of stuff there, and if the relic items were highlighted there would be no need to mouse-over all the loot. Or, if you could set them to fall into the order of display in the corpse in a predictable way, that would make it easy too. Maybe after ingredients.

On a side note... anyone know how to make a trapped box macro that wouldn't get confused if you had to replace your trapped box if you had the original one looted? I saw the "set trapped box" option in the actions menu, and I fooled around with it, but I don't really see how I'm supposed to use it. I can set the box, and I can make a macro to set off that trapped box with stored item -> use targeted item, but they seem like two separate ideas, and I don't see how to use them together.

On a similar note, a friend who does treasure hunts can't seem to get UO Cartographer to work with enhanced. I know there is an option in your UI to toggle UOC but she has tried everything and UOC tells her she is in the middle of the ocean. To complicate things, I don't treasure hunt, and haven't used classic client since 2001 or so, so I don't even know what the hell UOC really does that Pinco's map can't do, and I don't know how to help her. We went through running enhanced client in admin mode, because there was some hint about that before, but still nothing.

Not all "Main Game Folder"'s are created equal... When I tried the patcher it told me it needed to be in Ultima Online Enhanced. My SA install is in a folder named "Ultima Online Stygian Abyss" as it's a older install....

Now This might have been an issue for me as I'm on linux, but if anyone else has that happen..... Just move the folder to /home/<user>/.wine/c_drive/Program Files/ and renamed the folder "Ultima Online Enhanced" and it will work fine.

I can't do that, there is no way to read the item properties without having the cursor on them.

The set trap box is another thing. Once is set it will be not shown after opening and it blocks the ability to drop items inside.

Once the option is enabled the location data is written in a log file, if the game is unable to write files it won't works. and this is the only explanation beside the fact that could exist a bug in UOC...

on CC works differently, just read the data take from the memory stream from UO Assist. On EC, the client write a log with the char position and UOC reads it...

About what UOC does and the game map don't.... I don't know :D
there are waypoints, you can add them where you want, you can see party members on map, scale zoom in, zoom out, there is a server line tool.... really I don't know :D

- The fish kind are visible once again.
- Fixed the server lines map. Now if you start it in felucca you'll see the felucca map instead of trammel.
- Added a sound for "aye aye sir".
- Added the action "Wheel" to use the boat wheel like the mount ones.
- Added the fish pies and few other items descriptions.

Pinco I have one small request.

Most times when I start a new character or something the paperdoll winds up HUGE and partially off the screen on the right side. I can't move the paperdoll at all because the only place you can click and "grab" it is on the bottom where your name is... but unfortunately this always seems to end up WAY off the screen to the bottom and I can't get to it.

I'm always having to find and pull out the button for scaling the UI and having to shrink the paperdoll in order to move it.

Can you make a spot on the TOP area or something of the paperdoll that can be "grabbed"?
