Banned and house deleted

it been a few days i been banned and I miss UO a bit.

But EA dont worth my money anymore.

I thought hard about "what the hell I had duped on my account"

I beleive it was 150 eye of travesty and 150 captured essence that i bought for 55m from a crosssharder named Narf that brought them from Arirang.

I been buying peerless from players in Atlantic and chesapeake for 2 years. from players. varies from 1 to 300 a shot. Eyes and captured essence were the hardest to get so I had to go to those asian servers that I heard were rich in bulk peerless to supply my needs.

I guess it was wrong. It didnt came to mind that It could be duped to me. It was prolly stupid.. But in my eyes it wasnt worth a ban.

Never I bought a valorite hammer. never i used exploit. I been an honest merchant for 2 years, people who dealed with me know this.

My guess is that they hitted some rich accounts to lower a bit of the inflation. Whatever.

It was lame from you Custumer support, that canned answer didnt worth my years of trust.

lol be assured ill be killing down EA product name and reputation to everyone that can hear me.

Before AoS I was playing on Xrenos, Eldun, ZloyMazay, Dobrinya Nikitic, Totem. Before server wars fix I was living in brit cem, after that fix played usually o/c and factions, some Grd and other rp guilds fun. After AoS I was playing as PLAN, Melamory, Live Corpse and other less time invented chars.
On uo-auction2, when it was alive, had a nickname Oldmazay. I remember Zof and Lucy from uo-auction only

It's money. The accountants have done the math and the time it would take to individually review each banned account exceeds the lost monthly fees. It's that easy.

They failed. As a forums mod and newsmaker on www.ultima-ru.com (biggest russian official uo fan site) since 2001, I have put info and articles about this unfair bans situations everywhere I was able to, so far (todays situation) personally I know 5 accounts which were blocked by owners. They left the feedback in "reasons for cancellation" - recent bannings and unability of customer support to handle duping situation without banning innocent people.
This number will grow.
Jeremy_EA pretends that 150 accounts were banned. I predict that number of cancelled accounts will be 5 times more. Of course, cancelled accounts will have according feedback, stating some bad stuff about EA_Mythic. That will be almost 10 thousand US dollars less for EA per month. Or more, if this unclear situation on legality of items and unability of EA Customer Support to handle this situation will drive away new players.

I have asked EA_Mythic only to re-investigate my ban. They put me in ignore. They have right to do it, according to their ToS. I think I deserve personal assistance from EA_Mythic for my 8 years of playing and paying. During these 8 years, I grew up, got married, made a career, but I always had UO as part of my life. Now they broke it and they dont want to conversate about it anymore with me. That is ok, in this case I will continue to do everything I can to post and discuss this situation everywhere I can, and I can find alot of places to do it. Until I get tired or until EA_Mythic customer support will provide me with customer service.

p.s. dear readers of this, I am sorry for my harsh emotions, but 2 weeks of ignorance and ignore made me mad. But player, who played that long and have never violated ToS, deserves better treating.

Not saying if you were banned justly or not, but I have to agree that it is inexcuseable to treat a long time customer in that way.

There is no other competant business that would just throw away a customer of 8 years without at least talking to them first.

But then we are actually thinking that EA makes rational decisions. Sadly in life we have people who are serial killers, or drug dealers or for that matter just griefers. In this case you came across an incompotent sales organization who push gaming.

These are the same people in life who speak before they think.

There is no stupidness involved. It is the trust and respect, which EA_Mythic does not show, but my friends and people who know me do. My friends and people who trust me know, that I am not guilty. This situation of ignorance and ignore by customer support, makes alot of people angry, people start to think that they can find themselves in same situation, when players will have to pay for EA_Mythic incompetence dealing with duped stuff, pay with their accounts.

I have stated that 5 accounts were cancelled and the reason of cancellation was posted in according feedback place, I think the same situation is happening around Zof, Lucy, Serafi and many other users.

There is not much resourses needed to place a message on uoheraldcom that investigation is being done, but EA_Mythic customer suport will have to start investigation and respect the players. There is nothing. so

Sorry, but you are not right.
I have bought my castle for 300m. There was an IDOC keep on felucca, I fought some people for it and lost. Later it turned out that the person who placed plot owned house nearby, demolishing them both he got a place for castle, and he sold me it.
I was collecting those 300m for last three years. Doom artifacts, peerless artifacts, powerscrolls, good looted items from monsters, tokuno dyes. Due to nature of my real life, I am at home for 5 days during a week and I spent this time playing ultima online. That is alot and enough time to get "those kinds of sums" you mentionned.

your right! dont know you dont care. But as I said, that amount of money dosent come from honest play. Allowing others to pad your pockets with duped, exploited, scripted and other wise non-honest monies Puts (all who fit this catagory) right at the top of the list of people ****ting all over this game.... this is a generalization not a direct finger pointing.:loser: Sooner they are gone the better. 300 million is a drop in the bucket for any longtime player with a little bit of time and smarts.

When Crimson Cinctures first came out I bought 2 of the first ones to appear on Chessy for 20 million each and then resold them x-shard for 120 million each. I firmly believe that my buyers didnt know that they were drops and paid so much because they thought they were event items. Had they asked me I would have told them that they were just a very rare new drop. I am quite sure they still would have paid though as too many Uo collectors feel the need to overpay for an item just to be the first to parade it around.

This is just one example of course. There are dozens of totally legit ways to make huge amounts of gold ingame if you have time and smarts. The first people to figure out a new event always make huge millions because buyers just dont want to wait for anything.
Uo is littered with impatience and shortcuts. Advanced char tokens,Soulstones,etc...


Another very simple way to make hundreds of millions is to just camp idocs 24/7. Boring as hell but very lucrative.

just put your question a certain way saying that the bannings were effecting the revenue of the game and you want clarification.as to whats happening.the saying that **** rolls down hill in these situations is true.and when the department that deals with it gets a call from higher up the chain thats when they take notice

It sounds as though EA wrote a script that finds the same item ID number in at least two locations and they are banning both people that possess these items or people that have more then one of those items (or whatever their rule is that they are not saying.)

A better idea for them would be to a more complex script that finds an item when it is first born into the world and at that moment find if there is another item that has the same item id number. If it does flag the character that created it.

I guess I shouldn't explain why this would be more difficult because it gets into how duping works.
They would also have to make a script that finds new items born into the world that are NOT created by conventional means.
That is not as easy as it sounds.

People are not going to believe someone who claims they made legitimate fortunes (100s of millions) in trading by buying-low selling-high.

Not because you couldn't have done so.
But because if everyone who has been banned in the past few years who used it as an excuse were telling the truth, they would collectively have purchase-sold more artifacts than ever existed in the game several times over.

I don't hunt for gold, but if I actually wanted to (as I have a few times in the past) I could make 3 mil a day legitimately by just hunting.
But to think that someone could do that every day for years for 100s of millions is beyond any measure of credability.
Preference of playstyle is one thing, but even a manic personality would require spawns of time doing other things. Only a bot could actually hunt the same creature 18+ hours a day for months, let alone years.

I had a char with 120 bush/parry/weap, some healing anat tactics and vamp form. Used it to get keys for peerlesses solo, except for melissande dryads. Took from 30 min to 3 hours to get 3 sets of keys. Then together with my wife (same room, 2 PCs) on a mage + tamer or this sampire + mage we were able to kill every last one existing peerless in 20-40 minutes. We did it for more than year, at evenings after work, not each evening ofc because sometimes we had to go out and socialise.
We got more than 20 crimsons doing this. Mind other stuff like paroxismus swamp and regs and meli hair dyes and so on.
Also I have an archer in full set of assasin armor, 40 ssi daemon slayer composite. It is a highest possible damager in Doom dungeon, gets 3-4 or more arties in 3 hours in evening.

Assuming that, I have earned alot of gold in legitimate way and relatively quick. If you still cant believe me, then I suppose we are very different persons with different style of gameplay and approach to gameplay.
When I was taking a break from UO, I made insane powergaming parties in Baldurs Gate 2 and ToB, Icewind Dale 2, doing crazy stuff like finishing the rogue stone entrance lich+mage room in early chapters in BG2 instead of 6th chapter, and finishing battlesquares in IWD2 in 2nd chapter instead of the end of 4th chapter. Without any cheats, studying game mechanics for weeks, reading tons of guides and feedbacks, testing and finally powerplaying.
The sampire I mentionned in beginning is able to toe-to-toe anything with little exceptions, but my other builds were less popular and harder to achieve and play. I have a mage who did 150-180 damage with flamestrike on peerlesses, having neverending mana and WoD to finish peerless off. Also 100+ damage each hit archer with max weapon speed and 200+ bushido crits, tamer with WoD who could vet and magery heal pet nonstop, disco archer who slays every last one monster in game solo and so on. These builds I mention are actual now, their powergaming ability is still not nerfed or fixed... I had other kinds of chars before nerfs, who were able to powergame more efficiently.

In your post you mentionned that it is hard to earn big amounts of gold, you mentionned maniacal 18th hours playing people and bots. I'm not like that, I am just a powergamer who can use legitimate game mechanics in best way and play time to time at evenings.

Back to the topic...
Did I use cheats? no and no. This is not my fun from game.
Did I dupe? no! This is not my fun from game aswell, and I dont even know how to.
Did I buy low and sell high? No. This is not my fun from game, Im not a virtual businessman.
Did I sell an artie and get duped gold from it from trader? dunno
Did they ban me? Yes. For what? I DONT KNOW. They dont explain, and they dont want to talk to me on this subject.
I did nothing that breaks any RoT or ToS rules, intentionnaly. I was warning people not to do this for years, moderating fansite I mentionned in other posts. I payed loads of money to EA for this game.
And now I end with nothing. Everything I have done, is deleted for unknown reason, and no chance to even discuss it with Customer Support.

How is it possible for customer support to be so ignorant and unprofessional? I cant understand this. I will continue to fight.
