Gah, you are too quick. Caught me before I edited my post to add that the setting for sending your gold to the loot bag isn't being saved. :)

that's not possible, I've already tried... the current target is managed by the client.
I've tried to cancel the current target when is something like summon, but that breaks the next/previous function :(

I wonder if the first fix in your latest patch should be toggleable (is that even a word??). :)

There might be non-pet-using folks interested in using that feature for their summons.

Anything useful for lobster / fishing? Like
target water (to place trap or cast pole)
target nearest buoy (to pull trap)

you have the item healthbar over the buoy for lobster fishing, I can't do nothing more.
All this kind of target cannot be done by customizing UI, sorry :(

- Added some messages to overhead positive/negative color (all the ones related to orange petals) 
- Now if you enable extra info, you'll see if worth relics, essece or magical residue; if you enable intensity info you'll see the intensity.
- Now the message "The tainted life force energy damages you as your body tries to absorb it." is also shown over your head.
- Added a toggle for the Ignore Summons for center screen text "Low Pet Life" warning.

Great work, loving it so far. I do notice that when I use this UI, if I remain inactive for a short period of time (a few minutes but before the server times me out), I get a "connection lost" message and I am kicked out. That doesn't happen with the "default" UI; it keeps me on until inactivity times me out.

Also, when I look at the information for "Pike" (the weapon) the window shows it as a "Shore Fish", presumably intended for the fish of the same name.

I was losing connection yesterday after the patch, but rebooting my computer fixed it.

One more toggle I would suggest...

Being able to switch between Spell words, Spell name, Both, and none.

All these options are getting to be so numerous (and welcome) that you may want to consider making your own User Settings page(s) :thumbsup:

Pet Bars now look like the Mobile bars in MY skin package, also got some work done on the basic windows. Still have a few more aspects to work on, but I'm getting closer to getting a package put together I think people will like.

you can already add the spell name after the spell words...

About the user settings: I hate the user setting window, is always a mess to find something when you're hurry... the context menu is faster :)

I sometimes turn the spellwords for others off.. Or I did using Copper Enhanced.. when I didn't want my screen filled with multicolored text. (Think EM events) I have it set at a tiny font at the moment, but that makes reading onscreen dialogue a tad more challenging :gee:

Yea she meant options to have either just the English, English and the words of power, words of power only and turning them completely off.

I was wondering (I have not looked into it) Is it possible to be able to set it up so that you can turn the spells off in the journal area only and not on the overhead chat? And visa versa?

Turning off spells could be doable, not showing it on chat probably not... the chat still in big part hardcoded, the lua contained into the default package are a fake :/

The option for the loot bag to drop stackables to the main pack is awesome!



I have 1 more idea - You have made alot of messages appear on the screen directly. Do you think it's possible to make all messages that normally goes to the journal appear on the bottom left of the play area instead of that annoying self-fading journal window?

Like how it works in the CC? Then I can ignore the damnable journal window.

I fixed the fading problem, just remove the check from auto-hide option (right click on orange baloon) ;)

I'm thinking this was missed. The send gold to loot bag option isn't being saved properly. I have to reset it every time I log in.

- The gold to loot bag setting is now loaded properly.
- Fixed a problem with the stored target tooltip.
- Now the message "You have uncovered a <SIZE> deposit of niter! Mine it to obtain saltpeter." is also shown over your head.
- The Treasure Sand will be automatically ignored by object handle.
- Fixed a bug of the object handle which sometimes shows items that are in player backpack.

For me having your skins and Pinco's UI will be about as perfect a setup as I could hope for.

When your package is finished, will it be available on the Modder's Exchange site or will Pinco incorporate it into his UI download?

Thought I'd take this opportunity to remind everyone how terrific Pinco's Template Editor is. There's nothing better if you are tweaking your template, planning a new suit, or building a new character. And the import/export features available with Pinco's UI make it super easy to use.

When I get the package done, I'll create a zip file of the specific files for the package (people will have to manually move them from the extracted folder into the Pinco UI directory).

I'll see about making sure I can get versions up at both locations though.

Basically the newpackage will be:

Textures (Obviously)
Source code (XML code for various files in order to make the placement of the elements correct (I also redid a few of the status bars to make the various bars work better))
Icons (I finished a batch of "Default" icons to fit the theme of the UI, the extras will be the standard ones that come with Pinco's UI)

I THINK I have all of the texture work done, maybe a few odds and ends to clean up at most.

Added in a font or two and need to make some internal changes to the default font for various UI elements and a preliminary package should be good to go.

Looking pretty good there, Dermott. I really like the textures.

Is it possible to make the scroll bar of the backpack just a bit wider? For some reason, I have trouble grabbing hold of scroll bars in UO.

Found a funny little bug. I'm not sure whether it's an EC bug or a UI bug. If you mouse over a pike (the weapon), the note under the title reads, "Shore Fish". :D

*mumbles* Well glad I asked and didn't bother to play with it, would have been more annoyed to take the time to find out the lua was a fake. :p

I mostly ask for things because it is easier to update if they are already in your package, and I like what you did with everything so no need to make a ui at all. :D
Edit: FYI You really are spoiling everyone haha. But it is very good work, and much appreciated. I do not know where you find the time.

Haha, well I guess I could do that also, but then I have to handle the baby, work, my normal day to day things, and then squeeze uo in there where I can.

Either way I think you did an excellent Job on your UI and most of the time can not think of things to add, then when I do someone else had said it or you already did it so it works out.

Seeing how good of a job you do, plus the effort you put in, makes me genuinely sad that the EC does not get the attention it deserves from the Developers. Plus it makes me sad at how...underwhelming the client is as a whole (things being wrong with it, the reverse in resolution, the various graphics items that just look horrible) but I hope you keep up the good work, I think it speaks directly to the amount of attention the client should receive and perhaps will get if we as a whole keep on supporting it.

If the EC reach a good amount of players the devs will starts to work on it seriously, and maybe we will have more graphical improvements and more fixes...

For now I think that the devs who makes KR has wasted all the money that EA has invested for a new client by making a poor graphics and trying to copy wow.... In fact by reading old articles, the EA plan was to drop 2d for a new generation client and this would bring lot of new players. But the team who made this, was below the expectations and unable to achieve the objective...
Poor basic ideas, low interest on UO (surely they used to like more wow than UO) and no will to make something great is the foundation of this client...
When the new team was formed they had to put together the pieces of something below the average without the resources for restore it...

Luckily the EA has not closed all UO for that failure, but surely they will think twice before invest in UO once again :(

If they put in twice the amount of time in the ec as they do the classic client, then eventually the EC has to end up good and they can remove the classic client completely, allowing full development time to be spent on the game and a single client.

That's exactly what I think. I am sure there are enough of us playing the EC now to justify more time spent on it and more investment in it. I know most of my friends use the EC now. And even I've switched which is pretty amazing.

I totally can NOT move with the EC right now.

I get like 10 steps in at the invasion and I'm locked up solid as a rock and it's like I'm totally grounded. I can recall and everything else just fine but I can NOT move. Like I'm rooted in place.

I tried shutting off the Mobles bar and that was helping some but it was seriously laggy as all get out and finally I'd quit being able to move again.

Not sure what's up but OMG it's bad.

I hear you. I have seen a few people complaining about this event (but again have not gone to do it...been hard pressed to get interested in this one dunno why)

And yea uo crashing has been a little annoying, but it does not happen often enough for me to mind. The again I don't suffer from the Freezing or the lag so might be more irritating if I had all three going on like you do. =\

Sorry Can't really offer much help, but hang in there! Maybe take a small break...See what gets done about your internet? I don't know....Advice is hard to give about such things.

well, I notice some lag at the invasion yesterday on europa, but is gone after a while. The crashes has something to do with honor and targeting, but actually I've not found how to replicate the problem... for sure the latest patch has broken something on the client :(

There is a huge ammount of lag associated with the mobiles bar, probably from the processing of the filters and populating the list. I've closed it at EM events, unless I need it to target, and have left it closed during the invasion.

The chat window isn't fading any more. I am using the Pinco UI 3.3e, and the chat window is now persistent when it used to fade out after 10 seconds. I've locked and unlocked the chat line, and no difference. I've looked for a Pinoc specific setting for this but didn't see it... is that a new setting for that?

lock the chat line will dock it to the game window, unlocking it will dock the line to the journal window (as EC default)

Yes, but that isn't what I meant. The chat window does not fade out as it should. I should disappear after 10 seconds and does not.
