I hate to burst your bubble, but I think this thread got made because Mystra resigned as a mod. He let PvP bs run throughout the forum, but whoever took over probly only wanted to worry about 1 thread of our crap talking.

This thread did not happen because Mystra has taken time away from modding. Personally, I want to thank Mystra for the time spent as a VOLUNTEER and the grief endured. Sometimes I think you all forget we do this in amongst our real life jobs, family and usually at the expense of time we could be enjoying the game of UO. So, once in a while, give us a break ok.... and that will be the end of discussing current or former moderators except to give me grief (in a kinda nice way please).

Now, this thread happened because the admins are aware of and sensitive to our viewers/subscribers wants and needs in these forums. You all needed and asked for a less restrictive place to post PVP/smack talk. Yes it will be easier to "redirect" these sort of threads to one but it isn't the only reason it was created.

First and foremost you need to thank Magdalene and other admins for seeing this need, hearing your requests and acting on them as quickly as possible (remembering this is a large forum with lots to do and all handled by VOLUNTEERS). Now show your gratitude by having FUN and staying within the limits that were listed in the introductory post so we can brag about what model "citizens" we have on GL forums...

My experience has also made me quite familiar with the Stratics stance on animal sex pictures, trolling, greifing, and discussing moderator actions.

FYI, I have never met Lynk (that I am aware of) tho I have often made invisible faces at him (but then I have most people in game) so any "grief" I am giving him is meant in fun only....

I think you might be confused.

Any time we have fought your guild on Great Lakes it's been with SO? holding your hands. In the past couple weeks I have not fielded more than 4 players on at any given time.

I don't even have 12 or 13 members. The most I have ever fielded was 8 or 9, and again - that was a long time ago.

The only thing your magic shortbow / dread mare did was kill a parry mage that was already in stat loss... but kudos.

In fact.. last night when you were zerging us hard with SO? your axer (not implying it is your character, rather your guild) went down.

As it stands you are lumped in with the SO? circle. The only thing you've actually made me consider is adding a "bad at math" circle for your guild.

So lets recap - my very small guild comes to Yew and sees about 13 SO?, 4-5 RUOH, and however many =82= decided to show up. We still get kills (on your guild and SO?). I don't expect to win the fight with that disadvantage, but we always get more kills than deaths.

(as a side note, your hit area bow does not mess up animal form. It's stat loss that makes me unable to cast it but once out of 100 tries)

And then! IDK where your 3rd member went; but it was kengo and myself vs 2 of you. And we killed one and the other ran off. Then you came back, and we killed the stat guy again (BC parry is pretty lame) just bc kengo wanted his points too. SO thats all

And if you'd like the truth; we did a faction ally; bc it has become apparent to me, with the exception of =82= (who works with minax 24/7), everyone seems to gank up on the poor SL. If this was bc of SO? or w/e, thats fine. But dont hate when it was the TB, MINAX, and COM (And the =82= SL!) at the gate the FIRST NIGHT!! all teaming up again the 2 of us (without our faction suits, and my 41 hci with a vermin slayer tally self!!).

We are well aware of hit area effect and the means to overcome it. I've seen FKD holy lighters that were more effective at disrupting.

The only problem is that we like to stand and fight, which tends to disagree with dread mares as they exp/fs/firebreath alot.

I have also come to realize on this shard, quite a few templates are useless.

Any template with disarm against a mage, BC THEY ARE ALL PARRY WRESTLE MAGES. They need to bring back disarming of shields..

I'm sorry, but every NINJA I have fought on this server has been awful also. So unless they are just bad, its useless here.

Archery is quite useless. I am running it on one of my chars, and have whiffed 14 times in a row once (in 3 days), it was pretty epic.

Also Parry/Bush characters with 18 ways to heal, evasion, and 50 ep. They don't even hurt anyone. Just run and run and run. Which BTW; Shouldn't diminishing returns for pots come out already? I can't tell you how many times people have lived bc they ran to a server line chugging pots the whole way.

And technically, Tamers are very useless on this shard so far too. Everyone I have fought uses oldschool invis items. Even someone said in vent "Wow, how many charges does XXXX have? Dont they run out?" That stops pets dead in their tracks. If you don't have any, go buy some!



Uhm.. thats about it for now. Feel free to add to this post of "USELESS PVP TEMPLATES ON GREAT LAKES!!"

I am not one of the people who glitch my dread war horse who to fireball 875843759 times and all that nonsense. So you dont need to worry or complain about that to me. Trust me, I am aware and it is very lame sir. *COUGH =82= COUGH* And while I am adding things; I like how =82= can make pet's attack people in the same faction. Its pretty awesome.

I am saying if resist was useful, you wouldn't have the room to be 120'd in all of those skills; hence you having to give up one of the skills.
