Why were REDs left out of this event?

*chuckles* I love imagining the cries if players from Tram found themselves forced into Fel for events

On a more serious level, in Tram, players expect access to all the content in this game, aside from non con PvP and stealing. Some would take the powerscrolls too given half a chance. Yet in Fel, if we dare to suggest events should be open to all players by occurring on our facet too, that's whining?

I'm not even red, I just don't like having to elbow my way through a crowd of hunters when I'd rather choose to be fighting with players I know from my own facet, in a quieter location. I don't like obscuring someone's view with my dragon's wings, or inadvertently jumping in to attack something without noticing the archer starting a fight too. Yet I know it happened a lot during the first days of the event. If I'd had the choice of doing this event in Fel I would. I often give events a miss if they're camped to heck in Tram.

Contrast Moonglow's events to the book of truth quest which worked really well. I could hunt where I wanted to and there were actual players in Fel dungeons once again. The event brought something of value to Fel. No worries with lag at all

Sadly I can't say the same for this event, though fortunately I wasn't attempting it on dialup

If my memory serves me right.

Wasn't it the trammies that were complaining that the Books of Truth were dropping faster in Fel than Tram? The greed of people with the desire of no risk for rewards never stops surprising me.

Trammies complain as much or more than the felucian players do. So to come here and tell the felucian players to stop whining about this event is baffling. Trammies were complaining about an event that was shared across both facets but wanted to be greedy and not face the risk for the greater reward.

The moons should have never split. Different servers should have been set up and allowed all the trammies to leave the original shards with the original rule set.

I am hoping that Draconi has a great mind to have these event start in tram and end in fel ... wouldn't that be irony for the trammies.

Seriously, this whole idea that there even needs to be reds is a bit silly. When I played as an anti-PK way back in the day when it was worth playing, I went red a few times from perfectly legitimate and honorable actions that the game, due to lousy mechanics, deemed murderous.

Honestly, the system needs a major overhaul, and PvP could be made truly consentual, and THEN they could do away with Felucca as a PvP+ zone, turn Felucca into a truly wonderous and adventurous place, and allow PvP to occur in ANY facet instead of some strange restriction.

I have to agree on the fact that the notoriety system needs to be relooked as a lot of time you have to take murder counts otherwise you are screwed, mostly around spawns or in factions.

But there still has to be a penalty for the reds, provided of course that the notoriety system is fixed.

On a sidenote I find it a funny situation that reds want to go to Trammel. Maybe, as the reds will be busy farming pixelcrack in trammel, the "trammies" will go to fel to farm Power Scrolls?

The map files arn't really there for fel side, they did start them but never finished. Why, who knows, even though ol buddy only made the detector in tram the side-effects could have spread through the facets.

Ok, I had to reply to this filth even though I quit quite a while ago. Reds are NOT, I repeat NOT, just pvpers and I know that the vast majority of us PVMed a lot more than the majority of you blues. Champ spawns are pvm, and when you chain spawns all day, thats a lot of pvm. I know that the vast majority of blues are geared for Doom (or whatever the new money maker is) and go there to work for arties and cash. In fact, a lot of the pvp guilds pvm until there is pvp action to be had. These are called scouts. You will find them quickly passing through your spawns, guaging the enemy and deciding that kind of force it would take to remove you from said spawn so we can take said pvm from you.
