Why were REDs left out of this event?

As we were told, think of this moonglow as a time, and not a place. So, why were Reds, "as usual" not allowed to partisipate in this event?

A lot of players MAIN is Red, and they pay the same $12.99 as everyone else does, and being RED was part of the how the game was Created, so why do they always get the shaft? You can't attack another player anyway, so let them partisipate in ALL the game, and not just the tiny portion they have now.

I agree, there is one place where reds participate in all the events.

Siege Perilous,
Its the place to be!
To kill,
To loot,
and most of all,
To be all we can be!

Because Kronos set up his machine in Trammel. Not Felucca. And therefor, Trammel Moonglow was frozen in time, not Felucca.

You know, I find it funny. I love PKing people. I had a red for many years. And I was right there, with all the reds, and all the PKs, and all the Felucca guilds, when every Trammy and his mother would post, "Bring powerscroll champ spawns to trammel!" No, they belong in Felucca.

Well guess what? Some events are better run in Trammel, especially with the large masses of people. Yes, you pay your monthly fee. And with that monthly fee, comes a numerous amount of character slots.

Make use of them.

There's got to be some consequences left for going red. What would you suggest they be?

because if they made reds able to play they would sit back on there arses and wait for the good guys to do the hard work then kill them and take there loot compare the ratio of blue to red hmm do the math make a few unhappy or 3/4 of the game or more unhappy pretty easy to figure out
would have been more fair though to do on bolth fel and tram

I'm actually rather surprised to hear there isn't a Fel version - looking at the world maps (in KR), it looks like Fel has an alternate Moonglow on it, ready to go.

OHHHHHH geez here we go again with the thread about why were reds not allowed to grief the blues durring an ingame event. I have been playing UO for over 5 years now and every single event ingame wether it be an EA event or a player run event that is held in Fel they are ALWAYS griefed by reds that have nothing better to do than "fish with dynomite" at an event. Reds know that blues that go to events in felluca are not geared up for PVP so the reds come sweeping in and just mow down the blues for easy kills to puff up their egos and create more screen shots to brag about. I think that if you want to participate in events then you should have a blue for that reason. I have a couple of reds for PVP and a few blues for PvM and events and then I have a couple of crafters. Learn to live with the consequences of going red.

[/ QUOTE ]No, there really don't need to be consequences for going red. EA could finally wake up and make PvP a REALLY consentual system (like, I don't know, every other MMO out there that has a consentual system), especially since they're trying so desperately to mimic the interfaces of every other MMO.

Seriously, this whole idea that there even needs to be reds is a bit silly. When I played as an anti-PK way back in the day when it was worth playing, I went red a few times from perfectly legitimate and honorable actions that the game, due to lousy mechanics, deemed murderous.

Honestly, the system needs a major overhaul, and PvP could be made truly consentual, and THEN they could do away with Felucca as a PvP+ zone, turn Felucca into a truly wonderous and adventurous place, and allow PvP to occur in ANY facet instead of some strange restriction.

How? A simple flag. "I'm PvP Enabled." We've got guild wars and alliances for those who want to fight specific PvP engagements, but there's no reason a general PvP+ flag couldn't be put in and allow those who want to enjoy wanton PvP to enjoy it anywhere. It does away with silly restrictions, and takes away a LOT of buggy coding too.

I hate to disagree but consentual PvP wont work mostly because alot of PKs would hate it. You have a large number of them who only pick fights they know they can win (IE killing a miner trying to get some extra ingots) and avoid ones they have a chance of losing. It would burn them up if some trammy comes along with his pvp turned off and says "no thanx, i'm just here for some frostwood." LOL!

While it is a good idea on the surface, another drawback on it in addition to the others already posted is that we would then have to see more threads by the OP whining then because most people aren't toggled for PvP.

There's got to be some consequences left for going red. What would you suggest they be?

[/ QUOTE ]Why should there be any consequences?

The people they attacked and killed consented to PvP by deciding to step through a red moongate. Its not like the old days before Tram you know.

I also see zero reason that reds couldn't travel to any facet - and be subject to local rules of course.

Because Reds don't PvM :/. But, maybe they'll fix factions, through this event, somehow. Won't know until Pub 52.

You all knew the consequences of being red LONG before you went red.
You all CHOSE to go red. YOUR decision. Nobody elses.
So suck it up and live by your own choices.

[/ QUOTE ]

You answered your own question.. your RED. Look at it this way, you can use ANY bank in Fel now, not just Bucs Den anymore. If it were up to me, it would still be that way, AND you would have to SAIL to Buc's Den, and not recall/teleport.

Oh you would have perma-stat loss everytime you died too. I would get rid of the red healers for you too. Walk to the Chaos shrine.. thatll give you some time to rethink your evil ways. Hmm what else... OH! you know what makes PERFECT sense? Bankers don't do business IRL with MURDERERS or FELONS, thus if your RED you don't get any item insurance.

Want a tissue?

Because they're bad, bad people, and most likely in league with the Shadowlords.
