not if they edit that part out of the TOS, which they can do at any time, without notifying you.

Yes it's cheating, the reason being is if you get tired of pushing the same button do something else...that’s the way it's supposed to work, but if you want to push that button 12 hours a day then you can...but you have to do it yourself.
I cant wait for this to start, after 12 years of playing im tired of the same people using the latest skills maxed out 3 days after the system starts. We all know how they do it and it's not fair to the new player's and its also not fair to the people that have a job and can not be on 12 hour's a day.
The worst is medic script's, I hope EA make a zero tolerance policy towards this type of cheating.

ah I guess I was wrong, it is gold farming scripts, duping scripts that are not allowed. I don't think any exploitative scripts are allowed.
and of course I did not just lose all credibility. I simply made a mistake.
other scripts I do not like that are also offered on the site are PvP scripts. I never said I approved of all scripts on the site.

Actaully with imbuing skill people maxed out 2-3 days after but didn't use scipts as the program was offline for at least a month i beleive. They used the macro in UOA that was posted in these forums and i beleive UOguide. It was a good macro. Thanks again to the author who posted it.
No, you are conveniently changing your story to make it look like you just didnt try to convince people that what you do isn't that bad and that the site that promotes and houses this program have some sort of "morals". Or maybe you have some mental issues and are trying to convince yourself that you "arent such a bad guy".
You visit that site. You know dam well what they have there. Dont even try to make it look like you didnt.
no I am not changing my story, the majority of my post was about the number of people who use scripts, which I left unchanged. I made a mistake, corrected it, and I also pointed out that it is the place where PvP'ers get their medic scripts, which I have a major problem with, much more so than resource gathering scripts.
also, I notice you are now saying that I farm resources, which is also not true. if I do need resources (which is rare) I buy them. actually, most of the time I buy finished products.
it remains that scripts that farm gold directly, or dupe or exploit other game bugs are not allowed on site. and also of course speedhacking has absolutely nothing to do with scripting, those are totally unrelated software programs. so yes, they are on higher moral ground.
of course, you can continue to spin it in away way that you like. I also noticed you started using personal attacks, so I am now finished having a conversation with you.

To be fair. This will open old corpses and try to open "Blood" and other random stuff.
Not really "Auto open corpse", which needs to be added along with AUTO open door... imo.
It's hilarious reading some of these replies. Damn even if EA doesn't actually remove these cheaters, they've at least scared them. It's also funny watching them make up every lame excuse they can think of as to why they should be allowed to cheat.
The bottom line is that these guys are full of **** and for every 1 of these limp wristed basement dwelling momma's boys that claim UO will die if the cheaters are removed, there are 10 people like myself who will gladly come back to a cheat free UO.
Let's just hope EA manages to remove these losers and the honest players can finally enjoy UO.

That's a broad stroke there buddy. Pretty sure most of this post is against the ToS of this site.
I hope I'm not being looped in with the cheaters, because I am basically requesting some key features of some of the 3rd party programs which are not cheats by any stretch.

Wouldnt it be best way if people just quit cheating without getting banned? I mean we definitly don't need more people leaving... I mean if I'd have to choose if people got banned for speedhacking, or they just quit speedhacking but still played the game fair, I'd go with the latter
Edit: IMHO most of the people who have been using scripts will just keep playing without scripts. Pure mining/lumber/bod etc. script accounts will be closed, but ppl using medic scripts, skill training etc. wont quit, they will just play without em.
You started your post with a comment that they dont allow scripts that gather resources. You might not be lying about being wrong but I would not have much trust in people who cheat so I went with the fact that you are lying. See the consequences of cheating?

There is no higher moral ground for cheaters. Everyone who plays the game on production servers agreed to play the same way. You choose , for whatever reason you like to justify it with, to cheat. Its a mental flaw. Its not personal. Call it a "psychological observation". The right thing to do if you do not feel like playing by the rules is to stop playing.
What do you think would happen if all of a sudden some guy on a soccer field decided that the rules suck and he was going to pick up the ball and run it into the goal. Just one goal wont hurt. Its just little cheating right?

You are not basically requesting. You are using an UNAPPROVED PROGRAM which is giving you an advantage. That not requesting, that is cheating. Duh?

I do not think anything at all will change regarding the "scripting program" I can not imagine that EA is implementing a big budget anti cheat protection like Blizzards Warden that scans the memory etc..
most likely they will detect speed hacking and client manipulation, but we will see what the future brings
I never saw an anouncement regarding scripting detection either. From what I understand thats not even possible since the client does not know if a person is pressing the buttons or the scripting program.
Anyway, before the board wars escalate, lets wait and see
