Ok, who are these people and what did they do to the Dev Team?
Wow... they've been listening in a big way lately... bigtime props for that.
5 charges at 250k = high enough to be a challenge to get (especially if you don;t still have castles full of junk) yet enough to be useable once you get one.
Would have been even nicer if the Compassion dyes had 5 or were re-released, but that's my own wishful thinking.
Agree!!Oh I agree... But I too am awed by not only the listening aspect but the taking charge and changing aspect.
But you don't need to have these dyes to play the game. It won't break your game if you can't afford one.250K is still to expensive.
Why is color being treated as a commodity and a status symbol?
Yes everyone should drive a Viper for the price of a Kia. Local Kia dealer here has deal if you buy a Kia you get one for free. No joke. If you don't want the free car with the $20k car then you can get $10k knocked off. Seems their sales team has the same concept of balance as our dev team.250K is still to expensive.

In the general timeframe that fantasy RPGs are generally presented, color WAS a status symbol based on the rarities of the materials with which to make the dyes to provide the colors, thus the upper class had more vibrant colors while the lower classes tended to have more earthen tones.
(From teh Wiki)
The middle class could usually afford to dye their wool and colours such as blue and green.[78] The wealthy could afford to add elaborate designs to their clothing as well as dying it red and black, expensive colours for the time.[65] Purple was also considered a colour of royalty and was reserved for kings or religious figures such as the pope.[62]
