I wonder who brought this into peoples minds, that to be effective you have to do it right out in front of everyone and give them the chance to stop you. What happened to the idea of a successful spawn/harry being only based on whether you completed it and got out with the scrolls? I would rather have the scrolls in hand and not have been raided than to not have all the scrolls and post screenies of the "great fight" that cost me. It is the same mentality as those, during the colonial era, that believed you should stand in front of your enemy and let them shoot you, then you shoot them, and so on, til someone dies to attrition or flees. It is the mentality of a doomed moron.
Chose your battles, be happy in your victories, and learn from your losses. If you must face the enemy, then face them from a position you may prevail from if possible, and if victory is not an option, then either retire from the field, or make your enemy pay for the victory at every step.
