I don't think that's the case since there have been people in this very thread that to best of my knowledge are not rich, I personally would be happy to give up my rares to make the shard better, and would have zero issue with rare/decos being available on THIS shard at an easier rate. I would be all for rubble items, event items, heritage tokens, whatever being available as drops on hard monsters or as some kind of tot/blackthorn style trade in.
It seems to me its more of an issue of people who got rich on OTHER shards with easier rulsets and want to just transfer those riches over here rather than play the shard and work for them like everyone else here did.
The beautiful thing about siege (and video games in general) is that unlike real life there is a truly egalitarian footing between players. We all have the exact same capabilities and limitations, the only thing that differentiates individuals is willingness to put in the time and effort for whatever particular thing they want. The "rich" have very little power over the "poor", because no one has needs, and resources and currency are not only infinite but easily attainable. The ONLY thing rich people can do is not sell you rare items, but then again, the poor can do that too, because no one NEEDS gold.
Everyone on this shard started out a newb with 1000 coins, and some random starter items.
Go out, earn 100m (its really not that hard) and start making contacts with players, and posting buying threads on stractics. That's how everyone else does it, why should the rules of the shard be altered to suit people who are unwilling to do what everyone else did? Yes, its harder to find those items now a days because there are fewer players, but if you are persistent you will get them eventually. The only probably exceptions are event unique items, but you probably couldn't get those on other shard anyway.
