or....... we can just leave it alone and let them get on with their lives instead of ringing her up and picking away at scabs.
You're dead wrong Poo. I always refresh my house on schedule and refreshed them at fairly. I've done it for years. The housing time almost screwed up some stuff for me in a major way.the housing timer is no longer wonky.
and even when it was wonky it was only the decay state that was wonky by a couple days.
i doubt that anyone who is serious about keeping their houses around would even wait till the decay state to turn the account back on.
your talking the difference between 95 days and 97 days - where most people who jump account make sure to get their account back on before the 90 days is up so their houses dont even enter the decay state.
irregardless im sure the family would ask around if and when they ever came back.
im not 'wrong'You're dead wrong Poo. I always refresh my house on schedule and refreshed them at fairly. I've done it for years. The housing time almost screwed up some stuff for me in a major way.
I do that with at least 10 accounts so saving $90 a year? Yes. Also, I'm not sure you are correct in that it goes into decay on day 90. I'll verify this with my current account that will be going inactive but it always seemed to me that the house fell on day 90.im not 'wrong'
im just not a idiot.
i have 2 account that i 'hop' along to hold houses. i re-up them on day 90 every time, i never let them enter decay.
but then i actually wanna keep them so that's why i do that.
for anyone who waits till the very last moment to re-up theirs.... well they are kinda playing with fire, and we all know what happens when you play with fire, no?
lets do the math on this shall we.
so lets say you re-up your account on every 95 days instead of 90.
so your saving yourself 5 days every 90.
so over the course of a year you save yourself 20 days, so 2/3 of a month, so 2/3 a payment, so that would be like $9 a year in savings.
so i have to ask, is saving $9 a year worth letting your house enter decay 4 times a year?
to me i prefer to know my houses wont even enter decay, thats worth $9 to me.
yes because that open plot on Lake Austin is gonna make or break the game. You guys should either keep those accounts open all 12 months or give up the houses
the decay does not start until the 90 day timer is up.I do that with at least 10 accounts so saving $90 a year? Yes. Also, I'm not sure you are correct in that it goes into decay on day 90. I'll verify this with my current account that will be going inactive but it always seemed to me that the house fell on day 90.
By the way, you said "I doubt anyone who is serious about keeping their houses..." Yeah, you were dead wrong. I'm serious about refreshing my houses and haven't lost a house yet with my house tracker database in place.
EA has specifically said it's fine when folks like you and Aran have complained about it. The specific instance they said this was Jeremy back during the San Diego meetup, one of the two UO meetups I was able to attend.I understand you guys do the house "hop" thing to save money, but i've always thought it's a bit...dishonest, considering it's basically stealing money from UO.
Not judging anyone, just an observation.
I have ten accounts that I pay for. I pay for seven of them every month, so I'm paying the maximum possible cost for those. The other three I pay for every 90 days. The houses held by those three accounts include a castle on Balhae; a custom house in Malas on Great Lakes; and a custom house in Fel on Yamato. I had no problem at all placing any of those houses because all of those shards have empty plots in abundance, especially Balhae! (At least half of Luna on Balhae is completely devoid of even bare foundation plots and placing a keep or castle is easy as cake.)I understand you guys do the house "hop" thing to save money, but i've always thought it's a bit...dishonest, considering it's basically stealing money from UO.

Glad the owner of the memorial home was contacted and is aware.....seeing that this thread has been hijacked to discuss "Housing decay and paying for your accounts" !!Spoke with Aquarius, she is aware that the house was/has dropped.
