Actually I have not planned a manual, since it requires too much time to be written down...Not sure this is the place to ask, but I can't find anything anywhere on how to use the UI. I watched one Youtube video which helped, but there are still many things that just aren't explained. After a lot of playing around I finally figured out how to get the organizer bag to work, but a simple manual with explanations would help. Haven't tried the clothing bag or other agents yet, but it will probably take a while to figure them out too. Not sure why it's necessary to keep the mouse moving, but it's probably a technical issue to keep triggering the action.
The main problem I am having is I cannot buy from a player vendor. Right click doesn't work and I don't know if there is a way to fix that. I've looked, but not found anything. When I right click an item to buy, the vendor says "If you would like to purchase an item, just say so." OK, what do I say, and how do I tell them what item out of the backpack I want to buy? There is no buy menu like an NPC vendor.
I suspect I have something configured wrong, but I have no idea what nor how to fix it? Is there an online guide that explains these things?
[This issue solved, but still need a manual]
I had checked the option to Enable Quick Loot On All Containers. This excepts your own backpack, and it should also except player vendors. As I said, there needs to be a manual. I nearly lost 1,000,000 yesterday because I took it out of the bank and dropped it on my player. I didn't see it had dropped to the ground until I went to my backpack and it wasn't there. I then remembered I had click on Ignore Mouse Actions on Self, a very handy feature when fighting, but it should not ignore when I drop something on my character.
If loot all worked properly, I could right click on the bank and the item would be in my backpack, then when I right clicked on a player vendor it would let me buy. Then I could use the ignore self option properly, and I wouldn't have to worry about telling my greater dragon to kill me when I want him to kill the monster who is right beside me. It doesn't look like either of these options are really viable right now, but they are both really valuable.
Overall, a great UI that solves some of the problems that cropped up in the EC. But a manual would be nice.
Is it possible to make an 'action' button to toggle it on and off?- Ignore mouse action on self: is a standard function and I can't do anything about
yes, I can do thatIs it possible to make an 'action' button to toggle it on and off?
Awesome cant wait to see this Especially sense i started a new tamerthe new animal lore gump is almost done, I'm planning to put into the "Wild" creatures a compare to the main stats in order to compare with the maximum possible for the pet.
The data is taken from the current db used for the current target details
4.5
- Fixed a problem that prevents the map to stay close after log-out.
- Fixed a bug into the server line map that won't works correctly on Felucca.
- Fixed some typo on the creatures DB.
- Improved the creatures DB with more data.
- Added a new window for Animal Lore:
* The new window is a rebuilt version of the Sarphus animal lore gump for Kingdom Reborn client.
* The new window is a replacement for the standard multi-page animal lore gump.
* Every wild creature (available on cretures DB) will have the maximum value of every stat visible on the window. example: Hits 50 (100). 100 is the maximum value reachable by the creature.
* Wild creatures will also have visible the difference between current total resistances and maximum total resistances with the difference visible near the word "Total".
* You can scale the window.
- Added a new action: a toggle for "Ignore Mouse Action On Self" on actions -> Others.
when scale mode is enable, just use the mouse wheel on what you want to make bigger or smallerThanks, Pinco. That helps. I haven't had a chance to go through the actions yet so wasn't aware of all the toggles. It would be nice if the target self could be a toggle.
What you have done is amazing, but it is a shame that the developers at UI couldn't have done this within the game. They turn out crap, take our monthly fees, and laugh all the way to the bank. Fortunately there are people like you who love this game and give their time to make the playing experience more enjoyable.
Thank you.
One other question (for now), how does the Scale Mode work. I see no difference between off and on, and can only scale the entire screen with the UI Scale setting. I need that at 1.00 because my eyes are not what they were a few years ago. I also need as much screen real estate as possible because my reaction time has also slowed. That limits the space for hotbars and other items. If I could scale down some things and not others, that would be a big help.
it can be done, yes, but setting a stat value will works for every pet and I don't think it can be very useful if you are taming different pet kind...One of the features of Sarphus animal lore mod was that you could set minimums for all the stats, and if the pet met all those minimums, it would highlight red. Would it be possible to do something like that?
Yes yes it would be! No more going there and calculating up my pets!!!!!! OMG that would be sweet!Any chance of getting the pet's rating calculated for us like this website: Pet Power Calculator | UOCraft.com ?
A post-tame ratings calulation for untamed beasties on the lore gump would be seriously drool worthy
Yes, as long as the % is of the max - the min, if you understand what I mean. That would be perfect. Although I'm inclined to like the red for the 10% from the max and the orange for the 20%. But that's just me. And the gump is awesome, thank you so much.maybe this can be better:
if a stat is less than 10% from max the text will be orange
if a stat is less than 20% from max the text will be red
I third the motion that if it's possible it would be amazing! Also, thanks for the 1 page gump I love it already. I just ran around Destard loring GDs for a couple minutes and it's amazing!
Edit: Now what I would love to see is a chat filter for spell words of power. I think this is something that EA would have to implement though as I think it goes beyond the scope of a UI mod. I hate sitting at the bank for 5 minutes talking to a friend and having half the conversation spammed off the screen by people macroing casting!
You can turn off spell words from displaying above character's heads, but the text still displays in the journal. I doubt Pinco can get that kind of access to the journal anyway :-(I third the motion that if it's possible it would be amazing! Also, thanks for the 1 page gump I love it already. There is one.... You can turn spell words off..... can't remember how... but it's in there!
this is already planned but first I need to find a way to determine what kind of pet is your tamed and renamed pet...Any chance of getting the pet's rating calculated for us like this website: Pet Power Calculator | UOCraft.com ?

not actually....anyway we could get the pet window to show max for existing pets
Just remove "Enable Overhead Spell Text" from user settings.I third the motion that if it's possible it would be amazing! Also, thanks for the 1 page gump I love it already. I just ran around Destard loring GDs for a couple minutes and it's amazing!

I didn't think you could mod the gumps, is this something new with the latest publish?

I noticed the healing skill is missing from the gump. Is this just that you don't include skills that can't be raised, or is it an oversight? No there is nothing new from latest versions, I've just found how to dismember generic gumps... but this operations requires LOT of time in order to read few data.
poisoning magically became healing on cu sidhe or any future pet that could have healingI noticed the healing skill is missing from the gump. Is this just that you don't include skills that can't be raised, or is it an oversight?
I'm putting 2 colors:Gotcha, perfect. Now the last thing is, could you have a star or something that would highlight orange or red if all skills, resists and stats are orange or red? Or if you manage to work in the Pet Power Calculator, maybe it could highlight orange or red if it reaches a certain rating? Thank you so much for this. You've brought back my favourite thing from the KR client.
The other one is a weird request that is probably impossible for you to do anything about. There are skills that mobs have that don't show up on the pet lore gump. Is there any way for you to access those?
I just wondered if that information is accessible somehow, but not displayed. I realize the answer is likely no, but I thought it was worth a mention.About hidden skills: I just copy the data from the default lore gump, I'm not a seer so I can't read what is not written
If you set a hotkey as something used by another macro (user created or internal) and you want to use that hotkey, simply say yes in the dialogue window and then close it.1. I cannot seem to set a hotkey for a macro. When I click on the required hotkey (=), it says the key is used for another macro, do I want to change it. I say Yes and nothing happens. If I remove the macro the key is supposedly used for, it tells me it is used for yet another macro. I can drag the macro to a hotbar and set the key there with no problem.
Thank you. Yes, that works. Annoying is no problem since it is normally a one-time thing. Now all I need to do is get the undress bag working. If you set a hotkey as something used by another macro (user created or internal) and you want to use that hotkey, simply say yes in the dialogue window and then close it.
It DOES set your macro's hotkey. Simply close and reopen the macro list and you will see the change.
Its annoying, but cosmetic only.
Too simple, when you know how rolleyes:the undress bag is easy to use:
1) go to the agent settings and add the items to the undress
2) open the paperdoll and use the arrow in the golden square to activate it

- Fixed a bug that prevents the opening of the server lines map if you are in a place different than Trammel or Felucca.
- Fixed a bug that prevents the saving of the animal lore window position if you lore an animal when the window is already open.
- Fixed a bug that remove the animal name from the animal lore window if you lore the same animal a second time.
- Fixed a bug that prevents the window closing while re-setting a macro's key.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes dismount your character on login.
- Now the Animal Lore gump shows the max hits/stamina/mana instead of the current value.
- Now in the Animal Lore gump you can choose the pet kind for tamed pet. The pet kind is selected automatically by parsing the name, but if you are using a custom name you have to select it from the dropdown list if you want activate the parser.
- In the Animal Lore gump now you don't see anymore the maximum values for not tamable pets.
- The Animal Lore gump now will analize the skill, stats and resistance for any tamable pet:
* 2 colors will highlight values: orange for bad values and red for very bad values.
* You can change the default percentage of bad and very bad values by using the context menu that can be activated by clicking the arrow in the Animal Lore gump. The default values are: 25% for bad stat and 50% for very bad stat.
* On the bottom of the window you will be able to see a new value: "Pet Rating" that is the valuation (0 to 5) of the pet based on its stats.
- Added a new value on the Animal Lore gump: "Control Chances". This value is visible only on tamable pets and shows your chances to control the pet.
- Added a new value on the Animal Lore gump: "Taming Required". This value is visible only on tamable pets and shows the minimum skill required to tame the pet.
the locations are stored server side so it can't be done.Pinco
Is there any chance that Guild members be added to the map as well as the Party members? like automap used to be able to do?
hope so, thansk very much for the hard work
Most problems on Linux boxes come down to permissions. Make sure your user owns the folder and all the files in the game folder, and has full permissions. I don't have time to do a full write up on it for you but if you Google "Linux permissions" you should find lots of helpful information.Folder not empty revisited....
OK, so I'm running UO on a Mac via Wine, I went through a complete fresh install because I couldn't get Pinco's UI to run at all despite having all the proper apps... so now, it launches, and then attempts to update...
It downloads the update, and then I get the "folder not empty" error. The UIPatcher is in the root folder of UO, just like it is on my PC that's updating fine.
I'm not sure how to fix this, Pinco suggested running in admin mode on a PC, but I don't know how I would do that via Wine...
Any ideas?

ok, I miss the half stat flag for reptalonThe stats for the tamed reptalon (from the drop down menu) are showing for wild ones. Hits and str should be halved, max dex should be 125, and the max tactics should be 100 and the max wrestle 108.
