Before that, I was Hector, and then Merlin, and about a year ago, I was Healer Bob. Before that I was Hector, and before that, Loopy.
Before that, Hector, Bob, Sir Fred, and FlowerBob, and before that, another Hector, who had a pet dog called Fred B. I wanted him to be Fred Bassett, but at the time, the profanity filter didn't like Bassetts. I lost him to one of the early stable bugs.
All on Siege, no Europa characters mentioned.
But, over there, I'm currently Hector. Why Hector? It's my real first name. My parents were into that whole Odessy thing at the time. Original, aren't I?
The account's 87 months old, and yes, it's been mine all that time. I currently only have one, having closed my other two about 3 months ago.
As to why all the name changes - well, I suspect it's less than some people around here, but I addressed that elsewhere. Siege is my 'I want a change for a while', or 'I want to test this in a pure, hard environment' shard, which sometimes means dumping the current char and making a new one. That doesn't mean I haven't made friends during my time here, or have a lot of respect for those who have proven they deserve it.
And yes, I do mostly play on Europa. Given how many ex-players post here, that shouldn't be a problem - but then, some people can't relate to me unless they have an in-game name to go with it. So, here I am. I'm Bob. Really.
