OMG give it a rest, its over...You judge this person, yet nothing NOTHING against EA for deliberate fraud.
They promised so much to people in order to come back to the game, yet never delivered any of it.
It wasn't "we will attempt to make it fun again" and "we may give people who come back amnesty", it was stated that they already HAD made it fun again and promissed amnesty in order to get people to resubscribe to the game.
This Lady is simply taking back what EA should refund to everyone they made false claims to in order to take their money.
You are SOOOOOOO biased in your comments, even now after the company have screwed all of us that returned.
[/ QUOTE ]Your tone hasn't changed a bit either since you started posting. You've been dumping all over the development team from step 1, and yet you still kept giving them money - for what, promise of amnesty? You paid for a service, you received a service. If at any time you were dissatisfied with the service, you could have canceled at any time. So, since you were so clearly dissatisfied, why didn't you?
Oh, right. Amnesty.
Okay, here's an analogy for you. Let's say you received an advertisement for a restaurant. In the ad, it states that the food is "better than ever", and also states that if you visit ten times, the tenth time is free. So, you go, and you find the food is not only
not better than ever, but hard to keep down. Do you still pay for it? Maybe, maybe not. Personally, I'd demand a refund. But, would you go back to that restaurant again? Would you keep going back, keep gagging and choking on their food, keep paying for it - all in the hopes of getting that tenth visit free???
Okay, let's say you're foolish enough to actually do that; but you find, on your tenth visit, that the restaurant is closed and out of business. Do you then demand the owner refund all of your money from the previous nine visits?
If you do, then...

Perhaps that restaurant was the only one that served the kind of food you liked. I would talk to the owner and tell him that his current chef sucked, and if there were enough customers who also complained about him, then the owner would presumably fire the chef and employ a new one rather than close his doors because the chef didnt cook to the standards that the customers had previously been used to receiving.
Alternatively, as is more like the case here i am assuming, the chef WAS good, however he didn't realise that the dishes he chose to offer were not to the taste of the clientele that visited the restaurant.
I personally would have faith in the owner of the restaurant to rectify the matter and inform the chef that the customers were unhapppy and therefore should revert back to the original dishes.
Yes, I would still keep going back in the hope that the food would get better as it was the only place I would be likely to get that food again.
As for the tenth meal free..... There would be no way of demanding a refund if the business had been closed. However, had it been a subsidiary of a larger food chain, yes I would expect some recourse from them. Especially if i held a coupon which guarenteed that tenth meal free.

Look. Plain and simple, it's fraud. Not against the bank, but definitely against EA, and certainly an actionable offense both civilly *and* criminally.
Maybe EA wouldn't pursue charges, maybe they would just want to forget it - or maybe they *would* want to pursue it - maybe your righteous indignation doesn't scare their million dollar retainer-a-year law firm. If that's the case, the potential for damages, fines, and possible jail time looms large in the future of anyone who does this.
Is it worth the risk? Think about it - people have been CALLING customer support and receiving refunds - but to you, a couple years in prison is the smart way to go.
Have fun at the Saturday nite Mixer.
