as of this morning the patch has all containers opening to grid by default. The object name for these containers is "Wooden Box" and yes they do appear to be a rather reddish orange.

mmm that's strange, I have to check why...

EDIT: all contaiers has its own right image as background... I need more details about the container, maybe it's not a regular wooden box (the orange one).

I was getting this happening the other day, fixed it by re-installing the UI without texture packs.

Once I get the icons done, I'll revamp Third Dawn from scratch (not the texture files, but the XML files) and then start work on updating Copper and Stone.

if you drag your bandies onto the hot bar a timer appears over the top of them!If you want a huge one just put the bandies on a bar alone and make the bar only one slot then scale it up as big as you would like!

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I can't get this to work. I create a new hot bar drag my bandies to one box, I reduce the hot bar down to one box. If I try to drag it larger all it does is add more boxes again.

Under the pinco's UI tab scroll down and their is the option to enable scaling once you do this hover your curser over the grey end of the bar and scroll your mouse wheel

I'm using my laptop which doesn't have a mouse wheel. I have keys mapped to zoom in / out but they don't seem to work for the hot bar. It works for my display.

only the mouse wheel or a button that emulate the wheel can scale...
however a mouse with wheel cost 2$ :p

Ya I have a box of mice, I just don't use one on my laptop. I found a couple possible bugs, the Low HP warning setting does not stay after you hit apply and close. 100% poison elemental damage weapons show as black when in a pack. The 90/10 split poison shows green but not the 100% poison.

That's a client bug, not Pinco's UI. Submit a bug report about it. Maybe eventually they'll fix it...

Hey Pinco,

well the scaling mode might be nice but could you change the gumpsizes so they are initialized in their original SA size?

The dialogs flicker between original and resizes dimension. This gets hell of annoying when using shipcanons menu and such :(

yes, is very annoying and against the accessibility rules...
there is no way to fix it so I think I'll remove the scale loading so the generic gumps will stay at default size. You still be able to resize it, but the scale won't be restored when you re-open it.

Here is few updates about the next version:

The next version will support localization. This means that japanese and chinese language will be fully supported. I'm finishing the item property highlighting/extra info and will require some extra time...
However, when is finished the only english parts remaining will be the text of the Pinco's UI... this text can be easily translated but I don't speak japanese and neither chinese so someone else should do the work :D
For the translation I hope to find someone in the asian community brave enough to do this work :p

Right click on the chat tab, click on "Chat Filters", check the boxes of the kinds of chat you wish to see in that tab.
i know the basics. ive had my journal set up the way I like it since launch of the client. with this UI Only the only thing that appears is chat

I just had another thought. This isn't meant as a comment against your due diligence or anything, I'm just brain storming and this was the thought that occurred to me. Did you install the latest version of the UI by deleting the previous version and then installing the new version, or did you install over top of the old version?

seems they made the focus item type stackable, so it is not possible to see the properties on the hotbar -.-

Just an update that Third Dawn Texture Pack Version 2.0 has been uploaded to Pinco's site for release and is compatible with Pinco's UI Version 3.9b.

seems they made the focus item type stackable, so it is not possible to see the properties on the hotbar -.-
And no way to test with the Halloween essence on test. This could create real problems for players dropping stuff into their pack. Not so good.

I just had another thought. This isn't meant as a comment against your due diligence or anything, I'm just brain storming and this was the thought that occurred to me. Did you install the latest version of the UI by deleting the previous version and then installing the new version, or did you install over top of the old version?
thanks for dealing with me. Turns out it was something simple... I think. I did a bunch of stuff to fix it but in the end i think loading pincos UI cleared all selected fonts, so there was no font to display the text.

Another UI feature question Pinco, is it possible in the Waypoint entry window to allow for the use of the Tab key to cycle through the fields.

Basically, it would be a lot quicker for me when entering coordinates to be able to type the N/S coord, tab to the N/S combo box, tab to E/W coord, then tab to E/W combo box. (and if the combo box could work with the up/down arrow keys).

Just a thought as I was using the new system for SOS waypoints (which is 100000% better than the stripped down version that non-modded EC uses).

Finally after 1 week of work (at 16 hours per day), I finished the asian support and some other fixes :p

Code:
4.0
- The Pinco's UI now supports Japanese and Chinese language:
 * All the default asiatic language part has been restored as is by default.
 * All the Pinco's UI text is now available for translation in the cliloc.lua file.
- Fixed the quick details window, now can be locked correctly.
- Added the radio buttons instead of the check boxes on the User Settings for the multiple choice options.
- Fixed a bug with the healthbars scale.
- Fixed a bug in the item highlight, now it will not suggest to enhance if the item is already made with a special material.
- Removed a lot of descriptions of the item highlight used to confuse the user.
- Now if you have the extra info enabled, you'll be able to see if an armor piece is medable or not.
- Now if you have the extra info and intensities enabled, you'll be able to see the amount of pof charges required to raise durability up to 255.
- Now if you have the extra info and intensities enabled, you'll see near every resistance the max reachable by the select item instead of your resistences.
- Now if you have the extra info and intensities enabled, you'll see near each property of an item the maximum value instead of the percentage.
- The properties highlight will no more shows the cap of the weapons damage type.
- The properties highlight will no more calculate intensity on vendor names.
- Improved the capability to determine the unravel resource of the properties highlight.
- On the current target the title is now on the second line.
- The scale of the Generic Gumps now will not be saved in order to avoid the gump flashing when appears.
- Fixed the map checkboxes size. Now will be loaded correctly.

That sucks... Thanks though Pinco. What can I say, I'm used to spreadsheet navigation at times which would work well for that data entry window. I'll have to bug Supreem about it.

yes, you should ask to devs about it... but the textboxes are bugged (and not just for the missing of tab/shift tab)...

There's an issue with the Mana Vampire icon. When hovering mouse over the icon in the hotbar, it says "Start" rather than "Mana Vampire". I didn't install any icon packs or other extras.

Is it possible to have a timer for Enchanted Weapon? I can't tell how long it lasts unless I hover my mouse over the weapon. It's not a big deal anyway.
While at it, Immolate Weapon could use a timer too. Consecrate Weapon if not done too.

I like to run legacy free form backpacks. but I want monster and player corpses to open in grid.

I really don't understand why the developers made such a huge distinction between legacy backpack and grid/list. if you can cycle between list and grid it makes no sense to me that the next backpack type in the cycle is not legacy free form.

I really don't understand why the developers made such a huge distinction between legacy backpack and grid/list. if you can cycle between list and grid it makes no sense to me that the next backpack type in the cycle is not legacy free form.
Well what I do is open my pack in legacy mode, then turn on enhanced mode when I want to loot corpses. You can have your pack open in legacy mode and have enhanced mode turned on for looting. If you are going to use the loot to a container feature, or the pet ball actions, you need to have your pack open in enhanced mode to set the container or the pet balls, but once you've done that you can re-open in legacy mode and it will still work.

There is an action to toggle between legacy and enhanced mode. You can drag that to a hotbar, or put it in a macro.

yes ive had that for a while as a macro, i guess i'll hot bar it. but for the sake of simplifying the client in general i think it would be best if a UI or the devs combined all backpack types into one array.

this is managed inside the client, I can't force it without cause malfunctions :(

Hmmm, I have to update my UI. One thing though that I've had an issue with for a while, I don't know if this is a client bug, or a UI issue, but the object handles for bolas aren't showing when I have the view set to items only.

Tried 4.1 but I've rolled back to 3.9 as the mobiles and pet windows stopped working (no bars were showing).

Always make sure you overlay the texture package files after updating because I change quite a lot in the XML files to get them to work the way I intend, using the original xml texture calls with the Third Dawn package can lead to a good bit of wonkiness.

It works for me, just remember to press ctrl+shift when the bolas are already on the ground, because the object handle is not auto-updating when new items appears.

what makes this happen? scaling wont fix.
this happen because one of the 2 bars has a different scale :)
better solution is scale both as little as you can then scale it back at the right dimensions ;)

Actually I ran into that wonkiness when I upgraded the way I normally do, so I installed only Pinco's package, and ended up with the problem of no mobile or pet bars showing in the windows, so I went back to 3.9. And I don't understand which files I need to overwrite and which ones I don't. I always upgrade by deleting the contents of the Pinco's UI folder, then installing the UI, then copying over the Third Dawn texture package.

That's always a bad sign. I'll see if I can figure out what's going on.

I installed your textures over top of Pinco's UI and didn't copy any of the xml files or the source folder, and everything is fairly good. The only issue is an odd semi transparent, slightly off centred rectangle in some of the menus.

I think what I have been experiencing are some kind of odd client issues. I'm wondering if it is something I can fix by deleting the Windows cache without having to reboot (I forget what the exact name of the cache is).
