Dear Multi-colored duck with the anorexic name and 42 laff,

I would advise you that as a duck with 4 gag tracks, going into the mint with level 1 to level 4 drop gags only is not a good idea.

It is also not quite proper, I think, to get mad at the two toons who lured and used TNT on a set of level 11 cogs. We understand that you want to use your level 4 drop to help us. We appreciate your intention to do so. Just as I'm sure you appreciate that we took time and effort to show you how to move around the mint.

It is quite unfortunate that you had to rush back to the playground while we were facing the supervisor. Especially because you failed to witness the ending of an invasion we needed.

May you have luck in your endeavors. May your future companions likewise be blessed with patience, fortitude and much more luck as they battle with you.

We hope to never have the misfortune of running with you agin.

I thought you couldn't get into a mint with less than 60 or whatever laffs? I'm not sure about that level, but I seem to remember someone once telling me they were stopped at the door by not having enough laffs?

I was probably a coin. There is no minimum laff for a coin mint.

Dear bad dog,

Week two and you tried to take out LOM. You stank me during the halftime by whisper (screenshot saved) and you stank us in the Skel round.

You thought using sound would take me out? (Screenshot saved) Not if we work sound with you, eh? You only left a couple of high toons short of laugh, but they were skilled enough to ease through the pie round.

And guess who got the most hits into the door this run to help win your VP promotion? Yeah. You're welcome.

To coin your own use of the phrase (screenshot saved), maybe you shouldn't bother US if you don't like running with us. What's the point of doing so if you don't like us? You're obviously reading the boards here but want nothing to do with us.

If you want an easy meal ticket to Hollywood then maybe you should look into CCG aka The Cold Caller's Guild. They have runs several times a day and a beanfest on Wednesdays. The difference is those big Hollies won't bail on you there.

Stratics does not have a no-shuffle policy OR a strict LLKR strategy, so we won't fall for the sound the uber dead routine here. Stink enough regulars and you won't be on a load with anyone.

What is a "LLKR strategy?" And I'm curious about the no-shuffle policy (or lack thereof) and what you guys do about people who show up to go on Stratics runs who get a reputation for being a pain. I went on a CCG run once and there was one toon who caused trouble from beginning to end. It was pretty much when I decided to stop running with organized groups because you aren't supposed to shuffle off and I knew I didn't want to go with that toon anymore.

Well, we only shuffle to even things out. If someone shuffles simply to be with a friend, they hear it from me. ;)

We get very few troublemakers on our runs. The Trolley phrase moves us to the backup district if we recognize a toon who has caused us problems in the past.

Every CCG run I've attended has had one of those toons. Every one. Not to mention bossy toons barking out orders the entire time. It's great for some people, but not for me.

DEAR BLUE DOG,

In the past 2 weeks you have showed up to several event's. At every one your jumping around more then the rabbits. You yell "Let's Go" and bounce on toons that are being social while waiting for the whole group to come.

The first Sunday run's you came to that I saw you tried to kill off toons in the VP. Then resumed bouncing around at the CFO. I did not hear how that battle went. Then you were chosen to go with the group I was in for the CJ. While we were in the elevator you jumped ship and left us short handed. Did you happpen to notice NOT ONE SINGLE TOON GOT OFF THE ELEVATOR WITH YOU? I can't speak for anyone else but I was annoyed with you. You almost mad a few of my friends go sad being stupid. I would rather Battle solo then have you in there with me.

Next you show up for the friday night SOS shopping. We had just enough toons to make our runs when you started AGAIN with the jumping around and "Lets Go!". I even whispered to you not to do that only to be ignored. So we decided to change districts. And somehow you found us. I am not sure if your friends with someone that was there or you just got lucky. So we changed districts one more time and immediately your there. I believe you are or were a friend of a member but they wouldnt admit it. We finally got to VP without you.

Then you show up again this past Sunday. I don't know if your the DOG flippers is talking about but this soulds like what you did the previous Sunday.

Do yourself a favor. Don't get on the elevator with me. I will go sad out of spite to take you with me. I can always get my lvl 7 gags back.

Lure Left Kill Right - one of the CCG mottos....don't know how much it's actually followed though because, out of the few runs I've done with them, it hasn't always been that way.
It's not USUALLY followed beyond the VP runs unless there's a soundless toon in the group. Also when there are all larger toons on the same side in the VP anything can go.

The LLKR method is an assembly line technique to ensure everyone wins. If one cog is taken out on the right before lure wears off, the new left cog is the only one to attack if lure misses. Of course with the 15-laffers it's the end of the road regardless.

They have exceptions. For example, when someone uses the slideshow lure and a small toon is on their side, only hit the new cog on the left because the others will hold for 15 rounds.

Oh btw August the wabbit was very nice this week. Thanks Daddio!

I've seen CCG runs where the large toons act just as wacky as small randoms in River, which is why I don't go on them anymore. It's a craps shoot either way.

That dog was getting on my nerves at the beanfest once again. Last week he kept whispering to me You Stink and Its too risky for you. I was on my 45 laff cat and only there for beans. This week I was on my 109 laff cat and this same dog starts whispering to me to be his friend. Please! Over and over. I told him No thanks. I think this it too risky for you, and please don't bother me. After that I got the sad emote a couple of times before he got the message.

Dear Toon,

Please don't tell me to "Save your powerful gags" when we're in a coin mint and I pull out a second fog since one of the toons with us doesn't have fog yet and is using Aoogah. First of all, there aren't enough battles in the Coin to really worry about saving Fogs, and second of all, I didn't want the little one to go sad since one fog, two ele's, and an aoogah won't take out the cogs in a mint. Good Grief!

I would guess CCG has a greater chance of a troublemaker because they are so large. The few runs I went on with them went fine, and I remember at one point I was 1 loss for 7 runs, before I stopped going, but if you have a toon that's a pain, I guess it's hard to get rid of them (like this dog you guys are talking about).

I tell you, there are few phrases that irritate me more than "Save your powerful gags" or "Follow me." Any time I hear those 2, I ignore whatever is said after that!! :gun:

Dear big random tune with the good gags...

Please stop being so bossy. When you say, "I think you should choose lure"...um...there are three of us...who are you talking to? Since we can't SF chat, please don't get upset if two people choose lure. How 'bout working WITH us? It's not that serious if two people choose lure. I mean, everyone was on full laff and the lure worked. Get over it instead of saying "This isn't what I'm looking for."

Nah - school just didnt start for them yet. It's a real problem during summer break to expect a decent run in just about any CCG load. In fact, last year Smusher stopped all DA runs between June 15th and Labor Day.

And yes those types are a dime a dozen with CCG, but remember we're talking about 80ish toons on a good night, so any TTC board lurkers and randoms (since anywhere CCG meets the district turns green) can be mixed in.

Dear 57 laff toon in the VP,
Thanks for using your Trumpet on those 2 level 12's and 1 level 11 in the cog round AFTER I used my hypno goggles. When you were down to 7 laff you were crying that you needed a TU. No thanks, Im busy fighting cogs. I lured, you sounded AGAIN. Not only did you go back to the playground, but the 34 laff uber standing next to you did also (SAD BUG) Maybe, after you build up your gags some more you'll come back and we can try it again.

TIP: If you're going to grief by using sound on lured cogs and you are less than 60 laff with others on the side in there 120's, more than likely you will go first.

Dear Goofy Speedway toons,

Let's get one thing straight. When I go to Goofy Speedway and race with toons, I'm not there to hand out wins. I'm not there to purposefully lose. I'm there to beat the pants off of you. Plain and simple. If you think I stink and that I'm being mean, and/or cheating because I'm beating you by a half lap easy, fine and dandy, but keep it to yourself. (BTW... taking time to Speedchat 'You stink' and 'That wasn't nice!' during a race... hmm. I wonder why you're lagging me by half a lap.) However, it's not 'cheating' that I have learned the tracks in detail and know all the tricks to shave seconds off my lap times. I don't hit walls if I can avoid it, I take curves with the shortest path possible, and above all, I don't swerve my cart all over the friggin' track and thus keep my speed up.

I've beat some toons who are considered the best in the racing business in some circles simply because I know how to race and race well. When it comes to things like speedboosts, I know when to hold 'em, and when to let them loose. I zipped past a particularly well known racing toon on the last lap simply because I knew where to fire off a speedboost that also allowed me to hit a track boost at full speed, sending me flying at Warp 9 down the track for the win. Cheating? Hardly. Good strategy? You betcha.

So lay off with the stinking.

Sincerely,
Captain Comet Thunderboom and the rest of my toons.

When he saw the blue dog knocking people off crates, he followed him around to knock HIM off the crates. I explained that he was probably making things worse, but I was laughing inside. :scholar:

Oy vey. We'd have been better off if you had just stopped picking gags. Obviously you are relatively new, if you use solo unmaxed cream pies on level 12s after everyone else picked their gags, so lying about it does nothing.

Learn to look at peoples gags and not their suits before you make a decision. I realize im a 106 and still in Cold Caller but that does not justify my strength in the VP battle. I don't see why you kept hopping off after every other MH got on and there was no one else left in the room. Now you see why i waited until 1 to hop off. By now i wasted two minutes of your life. I will GO when I'm ready to go, not when YOU tell me, and I will wait as long as I want, for whatever reason I am waiting, and no amount of you telling me "PLEASE" and "Let's GO!!!" is going to make me go any faster. Dear blue mouse,

When a couple toons say 'Sorry, I'm helping a friend.' when you board the factory elevator with them, then it's a pretty good indication they intend to go by themselves. Especially since we went to the side elevator for this very reason, and you teleported to Wascally while we headed there. In our case, we were going in with the specific purpose of not only getting Wascally's merits, but to work my traps in the process, something most toons don't want to do. Therefore our caution in taking randoms with us is understandable, and given your behavior after it became clear we weren't intending to board with you, I'm glad we didn't. 'Hiding' just out of range, with the intent of boarding just as we did, is childish, and gives an indication of just what you would have done inside. 'Don't be mean'? Speak for yourself. 'You need more laff points?' Please. I'm through Dreamland, and 7 more laff does not a better toon make. When the invasion started, we left not because of you, but because Wascally has all day to factory, and I could get more trap points in a building. Your ':)' seemed to indicate you thought you won, but in fact you lost, because I snagged 200 points in that building we found. 'Have a nice day!'

Sincerely,
Simon McBoo and Mrs. Wascally Wabbit.

Dear Toon,

While I realize the the Bossbot area is fairly new, and some of you won't know this, but it's not a hard thing to figure out! I used a train today on four level 12 version 2.0's and someone else used sound. This makes the skele's that show up have a blinking red health meter. THIS DOES NOT MEAN that they are about to die. There's a glitch in the system. So using two ele's and two aoogah's on these 12's is NOT going to kill them. It's NOT EVEN going to damage them much. Level 12's have 200HP each!!! I realize it's a glitch in the system, but after a couple of times, you should get the point. You were all above flunky suits save for one toon, so saying "Huh?" like you don't get it really confounds me. This glitch happens in the CGC's as well, so if you got your suit, you should have seen it before. GOOD GRIEF!

What if there's 3 wedding cakes on a row or 12v2.0s or 4 cakes on a 12v2.o? Will it destroy the whole thing?

I can't think of a strategy that would take out all four 12 V2.0s. However, if you end up with some very weak ones for a 2nd round, they can't hit you and you can bike horn them to death if you lure + creme pie + wedding cake + titanic. lol

L

I know you can take out a v2 cog with 4 birthday cakes. You see the cog bend down twice quickly and that tells you that he is gone completely and won't come back as a skele. I would think using 3 wedding cakes would do the same.

S

SSniffleslam

Sorry, I was having a serious case of the grumpies yesterday...Yes, damage does carry on to the skele's of v2.0 cogs, but my organic train did 214 damage and his ele did 21...which means the new skele's needed to have 165HP taken away. A couple of ele's (I was out of Fog's or I would have used one) and aoogah's just aren't going to do that....UNLESS you do it three or four times. These toons (all three of them battling with me on our side) acted all shocked when the sound didn't kill the skele's. They were in cog suits ranging from Yesman to BC so I would think that they have seen it before....but maybe I'm just asking too much.

Duke,

I know for a fact that 2 operas and 2 fogs will completely take out a row of lvl 12 v2.0 cogs, As will 2 or more wedding cakes and 3 or more gysers, and 2 toon tanics will almost tkae them all but you need 1 small sound at the beginning of both sets.

I have dont all of this with Steve in a boss battle once and posted pic's.

S

SSniffleslam

Guest
Yes, the above will work on level 12 v2.0 cogs because level 12's have 200HP so if you're using anything that will do 400HP damage all together (with bonuses, etc...) it's going to take all v2.0's out including skele's.

Dear RED BEAR in the CJ,

You are rude, mean, and SOOOOOO childish for someone who has 125 laff points. Just because I used a b-day cake when you picked storm cloud on the very first two cogs when in NR and lagging like crazy, you don't have to act like a complete a** the whole rest of the round. I couldn't go back and change my choice. I'M SOO SORRY I killed that level 8 and you didn't get your 12 exp points or whatever!!! Normally I would apologize for such a gag mixup but you started stinking me from that moment on so I didn't say a word to you. Since it is the middle of the day, I assume that you're an adult, which makes it even more PATHETIC. Then someone else made the same type of accidental gag mixup, which I guess ticked you off even more, so you then decided not to help us at all, and instead started using aoogah's on level 12's. You're LUCKY someone had sympathy on you and tooned you up because I sure wasn't....Well, we all survived, including you, but I have your name, and I will NEVER EVER EVER go into any type of battle with you. EVER.

Dear a-hole,

I like to avoid practicing guilt-by-association since your spouse has been a griefer for some time to several people while acting like a prima donna around TTC bigshots. But I'll reconsider my stance after this incident.

I made a point to hang around with ubers after CCG's scheduled run to help in a revenge. It's my way of giving back to toons who have helped me in the past with mine. After about 20 minutes you showed up as the 8th to join us.

In the skel round we were sided with the 40 and 15 laffer dogs and three 12s came out among the four cogs. The last thing we needed was a nonorganic train, but that's what you pulled without a word, knowing three cogs would be left and potentially send the two ubers we were there to help to the playground.

The other two couldnt sound - the 40 laffer had TU instead - and neither pulled a gag on one of the 12s to finish them off. I think they assumed you had enough. But as your toon animated to lay down the tracks, you finally said "I haven't found it yet." We were lucky that the 40 laffer made it through, but you saw to it the 15 laffer went. Then you said "No problem." I thought that was a nerve after having set this up and waited. We would have been better off with three on our side than someone like you as a fourth.

The surprise was looking up the 15 laffer on the CCG roster to PM them my apologies. Seems we sent either you or your spouse to the playground, didn't we?

How low can adults stoop for a sick joke and take advantage of well-meaning people? Maybe this is acceptable in your culture, but not mine. I truly pity you.

Hi Mountain Man!

This same thing just happened to me about a half hour ago. This purple dog ..118 laff...finished airborne acres in 1 1/2 minutes.

His icon also went "crazy" , stopped on the track right after the start...then all of a sudden jumped from 4th place to 1st and the rest of us finished the race in the normal 3.40 minutes or so.

I went to the scoreboard things and he was standing there. I did not say anything. On the scoreboard, it showed he finished TWO races like that today. Both races were 3 plus minute ones.

He had to have been doing some sort of cheat. This is the first time I have heard of it..but, I am fairly new to racing.

When their icon starts going crazy like that, it typically means they've used a glitch to get into the gray/green and bypass most of the track for impossible track times. I hate it to death, and if someone else does it to me, I'm going to be on the hunt for them with my mouse on that report button.

What is the deal with toons in the factory lately? Seems I've run into a rash of toons with bad attitudes. TWICE this week, I've had some 50-something laffers start telling me to follow them or to use this or that gag, the fight is ON. One trip, the toon insisted on using lure, in spite of the other toons using horns, with one of them insisting on using sound NO MATTER that the other toon wouldn't quit with the lure! One of them eventually went sad, to my relief, because I was getting annoyed with the whole silly situation. Then, on the upper level, we finished off the first set, I went ahead and stepped on the switch, and on the SECOND switch, that same toon refused to go step on it, and the stand-off was on, because I KNEW what was going to happen. Finally, I just went ahead and blew it off and discoed outta there, just to heck with it.

The second one got upset because I was there for the merits, and obviously they weren't. They kept saying "follow me," "this way," and "have you been here before?" LOL. Then, the toon stopped using any gags at all, waiting to run up when the very last cog was going down, which I guess was supposed to really get to us, but my friend and I really didn't care at all, but this toon ALSO wanted US to step on the switches at the top so they could do the final set alone.

Is it just me or do any of you run into this "step on the switch" fight? How do you handle it? If I step on the switch, I can't seem to make it out that second door without waiting for it to reopen.
