how do you kill and look the slimes in the sewers? all i get is target cannot be seen.

I've managed to find 3 or 4 each day on the path, starting from Papua end. I'm not even sure how to get down into the swamp with them.
my necro runs in (Brit end) casts wither, runs back out and cures and heals.... over and over and over and....... then when the ones near the entrance are done goes and lures a couple more near the entrance so she can do it again! it's okay, she's got a short attention span so every few minutes it all seems new to her

we're killing them for the blightborn slime they carry that we believe will be part of the gargoyle cure next month.
we're also growing vanilla and sugar and collecting Terathan cuticle sacs and raw yeast.
BTW folks, raw yeast is not the same yeast as we got for brewing. It's a little grey blob about the size of the tattered remnants of an ancient scroll - I discovered that doing a level 2 treasure map last week.

i went down there once with my pic *partner in crime* and she discoed them but they are NASTY and if pets cant get line of site on the ones that are not on the path they are mana whatevering you to death .. and swarming like ants .. but if u can get line of site they die fairly easy i got 2 of the things .. but hell i dont even know where i put them.
Started doing the puzzles today! 
So glad i spent june collecting the regs because its going to take me all of july just to do the puzzles. (not because there hard, but because i have so many)
Slimes are easy if on the right character/equipment and a little common sense
IMO the hardest reagent to get is/was the vanilla/sugar even with lots of garden beds.

that's what I was planning to try to make, but I was so disappointed to find they were the kind of thing I find difficult that I gave up and went home. I'll try tomorrow when I can set aside some quiet time and try to concentrate on it.

Myph'sar helped me at least see how to get started - click on the beaker that's on top of the heating stand.
target the ingredients, it will add them one at a time, till it tells you not to add any more, (3 of each) then click the candle.
you get a message which tells you how many ingredients you have right.
So then you have to work out which of the 5 ingredients you had in the right quantity, and how many of which of the others you need. 1 or 2.
Clicking on the tongs empties the flask, so you can recover your ingredients. But there's a time limit, leave them in there too long and you lose them.
oh, and GM alchemy helps, apparently.

OK it's not really timed in the speed sense. It gives you a certain amount of attempts to get it right. When it's dangerously bubbling, it means 1 more failed attempt and you will lose your ingredients. Also, you don't have to add 3s of everything...You can add 1s or 2s. Either way, moving away from the table or moving to another one changes the puzzle. I can't tell if they are random or if they repeat any of them but i did have 1 failure and 1 success so i will see if i can get that success again. I didn't see any advantage being a GM Alchemist

I've had a few goes at the puzzles, got a few cures.
Now and again though it comes up 'It is unsafe to leave an experiment unattended. As a matter of courtesy you discard the contents of the flask and secure the apparatus.' and all my ingreds are lost - but I haven't moved! Its annoying to get all those ingreds just to lose them!

Same thing is happening to me. I don't have a lot of ingredients yet so it's annoying to lose them. I wish I came back when you guys first figured out the ingredient's so I would have more stocked up LOL
I really wish they'd remove the competition aspect from this event, it's pointlessly punitive.
I agree. Most of them are unreachable. I made the mistake of trying to explore the sewers and ended up stuck and dead. Its annoying how they can do AOE damage to you while you cant do anything to them.I really wish they would put the slimes in a second location. I'm having a horrible time getting the ingredient with 99% of them being unreachable

I finally experienced the bug people spoke about earlier in the tread. It said it was "unsafe to leave experiment" right as i was about to solve the puzzle and i lost my ingredients. I was standing still adding ingredients to the flask when this happened. Also kept getting the "Timed out due to inactivity" while adding ingredients and it says i haven't added anything when there are clearly ingredients in the flask. Double clicking the flask and pressing escape fixed this and no ingredients were lost on this one. Nonetheless, i have created 3 potions and only failed once.
