Dear Devs,

I'm in Trammel, trying to defend the poor citizens of Nu'jelm against a huge mob of bad guys with my warrior.

I have just dealt a final deadly blow to a Vanguard and a member of my alliance decides to tame his mount.

I move on to fight the next critter, it could be wisp, a demon berserker or something else, when all of a sudden I stop swinging my sword and passively watch myself being beaten to pulp!

What the heck happend?

Oh, my friend used area peace, to calm the angry beast he's trying to tame.

Why does his music affect my ability to fight - in Trammel?

I can see a use for it in PvP (against an enemy) in Felucca, but why would anyone want his friend to stop fighting, in Trammel?

I don't get it and I think it is very annoying.

Any chance that this will change/be fixed?

It can be very helpful in Tram as well as Fel.. It's been that way for yrs now & it should not be changed. It's nice to be able to take the mob of monsters off a guildy in need when it's needed. 1st he should be using area to peace the Dread or any animal he/she's taming anyways. It doesn't last for crap, not even a full cycle of tame even if you start to tame it. I've been on both side of this here & it's more of a help then a hindrance I think. Just keeps you watching your chara a little more is all.

Hmmm ... just a thought ...

Don't stand so close to "your friend" ... If "your friend" cannot be bothered to use "targeted peace"?

being your "friend" and all ... ;)

Well, there are numerous ways to avoid this:

1. Stay away from your guild/alliance member.
2. Ask your members of your guild/alliance to stop using Area Peace.
3. Resign from you guild/alliance.
4. Kill any member of your guild/alliance who uses Area Peace and shove his lute...
5. Wear ear plugs.

rolleyes:

But I still can't see how/why it would be beneficial to a guild/alliance member to stop his friends from fighting - in Trammel or anywhere else for that matter.

Lmao, man the best one of all.
But seriously a guild member shouldn't be area peacing & taming where guildies are fighting in. It is very easy to lead the the animal off to tame & peace it (even area peace:( )where no one will be bothered by it. (Tell them to do everyone a favor & to get their Peace up to where it's actually a help to all)

I agree this needs to be changed back.
I've also found that when you Hide or Invis or get invised by somebody else you go put of war mode. That is SOOOOO annoying.
No reason that had to be added.

When doing champ spawns, a guildy doing Peacemaking is awful nice. Just keep clicking with attack on.

What about upon death, you loose any weapon macro you had set with the UO "equip last weapon" macro...ill go back in to continue the fight and hit that macro, and whammo, I have no weapon in my hand. I have to stop dig thru my backpack, and drag it up to my avatar ...for the umteenth time. Of course by then I have sustained heavy damage, and need to heal up...if I don't die, so I can continue....uh, so what's wrong with this picture?

Sometimes target peace is not an option one can be bothered with.
