YOU cannot possible "love" the game, because you are breaking the RULES and you are using illegal means to achieve PERSONAL gains

Also, if oyu are so proud, whats your char name, post it here:) see how long oyu last before perma ban, you are a real hero to UO:)

I actually do love this game, I have been playing it for 10 years, lost everything to being hacked two times over now yet I keep coming back. Am I using an illegal means for personal gains in the game, hell yeah! I am going to use every advantage that I can to be sucessful in the UO world.

What many people don't seem to realize about scripters is we aren't all farming up items selling them for gold and then selling the gold for RL money, the vast majority of us are simply enjoying the game without the ridiculously repetative tasks that dwindle at the few hours that I already have to actually play the game. Do I have millions in gold...sure I do but I use them for my own advantage in the game, I can buy anything in this game that I want or make it with the val hammers and barbed kits that I purchase with my in-game gold.

Do you think I am ********? I know what I do is deemed illegal per the ToS and thus I wouldn't ever disclose my character name, that would just be ********. I will tell you that I play on GL and ATL.

Is scripting really a violation? Is it something you can do with the approved UOAssist? We will not discuss unapproved programs... This is assuming that you are at the keyboard and paying attention.

This was the best answer I found on The EA/Mythic site... It seems to be the unattended thing that is a violation.

QUESTION
What happens if I am caught unattended macroing?
Answer
First, a GM will come to your character and check to see if you are performing an action or skill. The GMs can look at your character's scripts to see what skill you are using, or what object you are manipulating. Once a GM has determined that you are performing an action, they will appear visibly and request that you acknowledge that you are indeed at your computer. If you do not respond to the GM, they will send you to the "macro room." The "macro room" is a room in Buccaneer's Den where your player can be removed from the game instantly. In the room are five blue moongates for your character to leave with when you log back into the game. If you single click one of the moongates, you will be given a location where that particular moongate exits. There is also a sign in the middle of the room to inform you as to why you were placed in the macro room. Once you have been placed in the room, the GM will again try and communicate with you. The GM will note that you were caught macroing unattended, which character was macroing, and whether or not you were e-mailed. The only time we do not e-mail players for unattended macroing is when their e-mail address has already been proven to be invalid. Unattended macroing is illegal and will result in penalties to your account.

Lately I feel rather lost in my world of real life and UO (familiarize yourself with the current health care debate in America for reference to rl). I feel like I've not been drinking the Kool-aid some of my fellow players have... where up is down, wrong is right, left is right, black is white.

Wrong is wrong. Something which you have to hide from GM's and other players is something you know is unacceptable in this particular world called UO.

I think there are 2 violations, no? Unattended macro'ing and using illegal 3rd party programs.... if not.. tell me how to make the macro in UOA so I too may stock my coffers with runics!

Correction: I said protective bubble. Don't bother playing your little twist of words game with me. Its not nearly impressive as you think it is.

I presumed there were guards in Trammel for a reason. Where I play, there are guards, but players can still actually attack and possibly kill someone in the GZ. It does, however, result in a guardwhack if done in front of an NPC. Pardon me for not realizing your guards are there for no reason beyond decoration. Where I play, we have freedom of choice and resulting consequences. I suppose the consequence of playing in your world is that you have to live with scriptors and the repercussions they produce for your economy. Eh, no skin off my nose. :)
It seems a lot that you're playing dumb about this, to turn it around to be a tacit "play Siege".
You play on Siege, which is widely recognised because of the "Felucca" ruleset in all places, as opposed to the "Trammel" ruleset.
It's a real stretch to believe that you honestly believe that Production Heartwood wouldn't be under Trammel rules (and therefore symbolising a primary reason people play Siege over Production).
Reach much? lol I never mentioned where I play and have no need to.

I know full well that Trammel rules apply to the heartwood. I simply thought that if player 1 attacks player 2 and player 1 gets guardwhacked, player 1 could still die. The fact that there are GUARDS lead me to believe that a player could be attacked and take damage, resulting in a guardwhack for player 1.

Am I to presume that if one were to try and attack a player in Trammel, player 1 would not take any damage? If so, what happens to player 2, nothing?

A little birdie just whispered in my ear that GMs can tell the difference between complicated UOAssist macro and some other... thing. Unattended is absolutely illegal, we all know that.

UOA has a finite number of times an action can be performed. Scripting doesn't have this limitation, so you can loop macros to be neverending, which is against the ToS.

how can you macro without using a 3rd party programm? i dont know UOassist

at least attended macroing is allowed .... EA just says unattended in not allowed.

whatever.

to break rules/law lies in the nature of humans ... humans always look how they can get an advantage.

they try not to pay taxes
they drive to fast with their cars
they betray in business
they lie
etc
etc

and of course in this thread are only the honest of the honest humans, who never break a law (it doesnt matter if its a big deal or not, breaking law is breaking law) either in real or in UO .... just xclio and me are the black sheeps

this makes me so laugh

btw. does icq count as 3rd party? i mean there is a message system in the game

and another thing ... are you really so naive to believe EA bans a lot of costumers? are you really so naive to believe EA is running this game for your pleasure instead of earning money? are you really so naive to believe the last wipe of duped gold and banning 400 (was it 400? i cant remember the article) accounts at over 10 shards (a water drop on the hot stone) was a big deal and shows how EA is after cheating?

this makes me more laugh

EA does not allow any other add on for that sort of thing. It is either UOAssist or in game macros. Anything else is a violation.

UOA is the only program allowed to be used for macros outside of in game macros. Using any other program for macros is against the rules. Period. It doesn't matter if you're attended or not.

So, you screwed up and posted a screenshot of you scripting... Now you're a crusader for the cause?
More like trying to justify yourself, after sticking your foot squarely in your mouth.

If you're going to cheat, then cheat.
Don't expect people who don't cheat to agree with you.

You do not speak for me. You are not speaking for EA/Mythic. You are merely justifying your actions. It will not stand up. No matter what you think, cheaters never really win.
