Destroy it how? I've tried a few magery spells but nothing.

Physical damage seems to work - i.e. if you're a Mystic use Bombard. Worked for me.

Yeah, bad design. Looks like you and I will be sitting this one out. I only did one trade deal anyway to see what the deal was. I got nothing to show for Part 1 and nothing to show for Part 2 for sure.

It's a bug with low-level maps.

Well they made the maps easy enough to get, and new stuff in every box much better than the ambusher drop rate.

you can double click the obelisk part on the top if you're using the new targetting system, but it's much easier to just drag its healhbar off like you'd drag a healthbar off any monster

(it works like the lightning pillars in zipotrical)

So for those of us with no Cartography or Lockpicking, there is no Part 2?

Actually you don't need a trained treasure hunter for Part 2.

The new event items spawn even in Plainly Drawn (Level 1) maps, so you only need 30 Cartography (bought from an NPC) to decode the map, and 50 Magery to unlock the chest.

The best place to loot L1 maps for the event is probably the mummy room at the entrance of Deceit, but you should also get map drops from the Gargoyles in Hythloth.

No, and they still spawn on whipping vines.

Now that I got that out.....

You HAVE to use the mage spell unlock to open these chests. Lockpicks don't work.

I had no problem using a lockpick, was low level map but worked fine.

The only drops are treasure maps from Destard, Deceit and Hythloth.

Decode one to see the difference.

They look like regular t-maps, when you decode them you see the difference. So the three maps you got are fine.

So what are your favorite hunting spots for t-maps?

Since I got that skull rag that spawns them, I totally forgot which mobs drop t-maps. Also, do they drop in fel too? I spent half an hour killing dragons in fel destard (non-champ spawn creatures) and got nothing. Then went to destard lvl 3 three and killed lichs. Got 3 lvl 3 maps in maybe the same time.

Just got home from work and checked my chests as i knew i had some in storage......lol yeah, i got over 1500 of them........let's hope they bring in 'dead wood' also as i have over 2000 of those also.

Yeah we have had quite a few in those spots on Legends...and there are holes there you will fall in that you cant see lol... Thank goodsness for ctrl/shift

Yes they are still working... @Ford Taunus... however at the same abysmal drop rate it may seem like it is not.
