I'd love to try DFO, just seems like another WoW game where I'd need to play 5hr a day.Oh and I wanted to mention one more... Mortal Online and I want to caution anyone who's thinking about trying that game. It's actually pretty close to UO, but I REALLY want anyone considering it to think long and hard before you go and play it. It's also currently in a pathetic beta (more pathetic than DFs) I think they had 10 people lagging to hell trying to stress test the server a few months ago. From what I understand... the game is at least a year off of even resembling a game a launch.
The thing about MO is that the Devs are having people (players) write code for them. Who in the hell knows what these people are inserting into the code and on top of that, being almost open source means that hacking, cheating, exploiting in this game... will be guaranteed and I'm willing to bet worse than in any other. ESP. when you consider players are writing code on top of that.
So... I'm not touching that game with a 10 foot pole.
DFO is pretty much my koolaid for the moment... tons of fun.
Sadly there is nothing like SP or UO for that matter...once SP closes i'll stop playing online games period...besides yahoo chess ofcourse...Who was the person that posted about a "Siege-like" game a while back?
Critical gaming and he played a free server...Yeah, I don't need second job either. Looking for something very Siege-like. Was it Crunch that posted something along those lines? I've searched like 18 pages back and can't find the post. =/
Anyone know his Stratics username?
And it's item insurance, no diminishing returns (aka no meditation needed), toggle weapon specials freely-with cursor, gimped out necro summoned pets (seriously, they own on that server), and did I mention, ITEM INSURANCE?Critical gaming and he played a free server...
Uhm, yeah. I was trying to ask without breaking the RoC!Critical gaming and he played a free server...Yeah, I don't need second job either. Looking for something very Siege-like. Was it Crunch that posted something along those lines? I've searched like 18 pages back and can't find the post. =/

Hit me up!I have found a "siege-like" place that has around 500 players at a time and is very old school. A PM would be within the ROC![]()
I can kinda see what you're saying, but I thought you knew why these kinds of games are like this.I'd love to try DFO, just seems like another WoW game where I'd need to play 5hr a day.Oh and I wanted to mention one more... Seriously?I actually like mortal online, yes they are alot to go but what IS in the game is good.
I like BR's little "bypartisan" views, hes such a republican lol. Everytime he talks about MO, its like your best friend telling you how nasty a girl is while he tries to get with her behind your back.
Simple observation.
I'm not a fan boy of any game right now. I have hope for MO right now because its not fully developed. I had hope for DFO but I don't like how it turned out, I may not like how MO turns out but I have hope.
My experience playing MO ended shortly after it started. I was lagging when I logged in and by the time my screen fully loaded, someone had already stolen my starting axe, rendering my character completely useless. I wandered around for an hour or so trying to figure how to get started and there was absolutely no content or direction. I'm not asking for someone to hold my hand, but I also don't want to be part of someone else's cruel joke where I get thrown into a world and have to try to figure everything out on my own. I just don't have time for that anymore.Seriously?I actually like mortal online, yes they are alot to go but what IS in the game is good.

My review of MO is completely objective. It's way off on being finished and the open source/community coding is the only things keeping me away from giving it a serious go right now.
I've never seen a game where the community codes it.. that's pretty damn scary.
OH YEA!! A Fallout 3 MMO now were are talking.Im right with you.I actually like mortal online, yes they are alot to go but what IS in the game is good.
