I'm wanting to craft some weapons for PvP use with my some of my left over runics. What weapon(s) would you suggest I craft and with what ore.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Depends on the template you play but...I'm wanting to craft some weapons for PvP use with my some of my left over runics. What weapon(s) would you suggest I craft and with what ore.

I built a database that will help display each base weapons DPS based on the weapons base stats, Stam and SSI.I'm wanting to craft some weapons for PvP use with my some of my left over runics. What weapon(s) would you suggest I craft and with what ore.
Thanks!
Most of those I agree with on DPS alone. The Bone Harvester and War Axe are kind of low on my DPS list, are their Specials that good? There are only 3 one-handed-swords with a lower DPS than the Harvester. The War Axe is right below the Mace but it's 3 DPS below it.Depends on the template you play but...
First off I recommend Dull Copper Ingots for weapons because you get the 100% Phys with it.
As for weapons:
War Forks
Kryss
Diamond Mace
Mace
Bone Harvestor
Ornate Ax
War Ax
Maybe a Katana
I left out archery since you said Ore.
I included the war ax for it's bleed special ability and the bone harvy for para and mortal. Most of those I agree with on DPS alone. note: I don't PvP, I'm simply looking at DPS data.
I dodnt say gold ingots because he asked about PvP. Gold is a good choice, but Dull Copper is better for PvP.First, I recommend using Gold ingots rather than DC because you also get the Lower Requirements and a little extra Luck (in case you PvM).
This is a good rule of thumbMy choices are all based on DPS at max swing rate and the weapon's special attacks.
The type of ingot can only effect the elemental damage spread and a few lesser properties (luck. Lower Requirements). I always say use an ingot type that will give you 1 elemental damage by default. DC and Gold are the only two that default to 1 elemental damage (physical). I go with Gold because it also gives a little bit of luck and also the Lower Requirements. When crafting weapons, would it be safe to say that the higher runic you use, the lower ingot you should use to lessen the chance of getting too many random properties on the weapon? That is if you have a handful of desired props you want on a particular weapon.
I would have to disagree with using gold because you will always get those two properties and thus decreasing the amount of properties you can get on a weap, besides in pvp you will never need luck and lower req. DC is the way to go for pvp weaps. The type of ingot can only effect the elemental damage spread and a few lesser properties (luck. Lower Requirements). The inherent properties of the metal have no effect on the quantity of properties added by a runic hammer. I have weapons with 9 properties on them. I don't understand why people are so stuck on DC when gold does the 100% Physical damage also, but also adds a little luck and the Lower Requirements. Why would you settle for only Physical damage when you can have a little more? Even if you don't PvM, if you rolled a weapon with 140 luck while you are making your weapons, you could sell it for alot more than the ingots cost you.I would have to disagree with using gold because you will always get those two properties and thus decreasing the amount of properties you can get on a weap, besides in pvp you will never need luck and lower req. Spoken from someone who obviously doesn't PvP or understand Blacksmithing.Don't craft any weapons at all. Blacksmithy is totally useless now since you can just get a Soul Seeker or other artifact and insure it and use that to your heart's content. UO has killed Blacksmithy all together, the only thing a smith is good for is to make repair deeds. No more having to seek out a blacksmith to repair something for you, lets make UO a one player game.
Oh and when the durability gets low, just go do a few BODS and get some powder of fortification to beef it up again. No need to ever craft weapons again.
This statement is completely false. I couldn't disagree more with it.Don't craft any weapons at all.
