What were the Despise additions for?

Quite some time ago, a few new areas were added to Despise which are still inaccessible. They drove us crazy when we had to collect the sparklies during the Halloween event. Why were these added? Was there going to be some use for them which was scrapped?

I've wondered too. I've seen this asked before, but never an answer. I've spent time in Despise looking around for some clue, but didn't find any.

Most likely a future random use. Like the areas in Deceit that you needed a special word to access to fight some bosses for an event... btw it REALLY sucks to be the first one to figure out the password and be down there alone :(.

They've been around since before SA was released. Heck, they might've been there before KR was released. I remember thinking that they were going to connect the dungeons to the Stygian Abyss.

It could also have something to do with the unexplored lands in SA you never know!

There are a few spots that you only get to while flying but I have never seen anything special about them.
