Yeah, Obsidian, I would have put in an option the scroll binders if there had been room for one more option. I was glad to have that option for getting a 120 Imbuing power scroll. I'm not so sure the effects have been that great for other power scrolls and especially for getting stat scrolls.
Here is my feedback on the rest of the SA content listed in the poll:
I have three artificers started on three shards and one of them is almost to GM. One is in the mid-60s just from unraveling stuff and the other one is still hovering at 40 and hasn't been touched. While I think Imbuing has been helpful to many folks, I worry about what it might lead to, i.e., what else can you possibly add to the game to top it or is it going to be nerfed into oblivion once we all get hooked on it. I guess I should just stop worrying about stuff like that and enjoy it for what it is.
I haven't tried Mysticism yet, mostly for lack of time. Heck, I can't even finish training Spellweaving!
While I'd like to try Throwing, everything I've read about it makes me shy away from it and not want to waste time on training it.
I converted my smith/tailor on Sonoma to a gargoyle and started training Imbuing. I so dislike how she looks that I almost can't bear to look at her and thus Imbuing has gone nowhere on her. I made a new gargoyle on Baja to train imbuing and take tailoring/smithing from my existing crafter there and she too is collecting dust. I'm embarrassed to admit that the looks of a character are keeping me from playing it, but I'm afraid it's true. I just don't like the look of gargoyles or their gear. And I'm too much of a cheapskate to use up the race change tokens just to change those characters to human. I'd do a quest but won't waste those tokens unless/until we get either a quest or a way to purchase more race change tokens.
My luck in UO seems to be almost nonexistent (translation: The RNG hates my characters), so I have only made a handful of trips to the Font of Fortune to throw in lucky coins and of course have absolutely zip to show for those trips.
I love puzzles but still haven't gotten around to doing the "Room of Experiments" or whatever it's called (that seems to be the name used in the Pub 60 notes). I did try the puzzles off the "hallway of death" during the beta but never got around to trying them again after the expansion went live. After the SoT rewards were pulled, I couldn't ever get up enough interest to go try them. If I want a breadboard, I'll just go buy one, I guess.
Have solo killed Niporailem a few times and the reward isn't worth the effort. Haven't tried Navrey since the last publish hit Origin. Don't care for doing heavily camped stuff. Haven't tried the Slasher of Veils in a few month because it takes a group to do it and I haven't been on at the right times. Ditto for the peerless and the champ spawns. Have done one of the champ spawns and loved it (maybe because it was one of the very very few times I actually got an artifact), but haven't had the opportunity again since then.
I'm absolutely thrilled about the new gargoyle cloth armor and the throwing weapons to be able to make them to finish training tailoring and smithing. Haven't gotten around to making any of the deco stuff yet because my crafters aren't quite good enough to make them on the shards where I actually want that stuff. Someday though I would like to try making the mirrors and other deco stuff and some of the new furniture.
I've greatly enjoyed the non-peerless, non-champ spawn hunting in the Abyss, the Tomb of Kings, and above-ground Ter Mur. I think I'll be enjoying the mini champ spawns for quite a long time. Have done a fair amount of mining and lumberjacking in Ter Mur to get the crystal shards and crystalline blackrock. I can't say that I've enjoyed hunting in the Underworld all that much. Other than for purposes of collecting quests or collecting lucky coins (remember the RNG hates my characters), it just isn't challenging enough, I guess.
Haven't tried stealing anything, although I like the looks of some of the new stealables. I think one of the main reasons I haven't bothered is a silly notion I have that people have characters parked in the places where stuff spawns and are running scripts to grab the stuff, so it's probably pointless for me to try to do it just by running through periodically on the off chance I'll actually find something to grab. I'm sure I'm wrong that the situation is about as pathetic as it is for stealing in Doom and there's ample chance for everyone to grab the stuff. Perception, though, is sometimes hard to overcome, especially when it's negative.
Have raised battle chickens on two shards trying to get screen shots of all the lizard and egg colors and, frankly, got royally burned out on the whole process. Taking a break from it and maybe will go back to it at some point and try to actually train up some of those battle chickens. Forgot to add that I've also trained a number of the lowland and high plains bouras. Great pets for new tamer characters! Have also tamed a skree and need to finish training it to see what it does. My initial reaction to the skrees is that they are underpowered for being 4-slot pets.
Haven't tried making baskets yet other than doing it in the beta. I wish there were other more natural colors available for the baskets. But I love raising plants and killing silver serpents to make the new dyes for my characters and for guildmates to use. I like the new colors and being able to dye stuff without dropping a fortune on someone's vendor for the Tokuno dyes. The dyes and raising plants again have also been a great incentive for me to finish cooking and alchemy skills on a couple of shards where I'd started working the skills but had stalled out with the training.
