I wonder if its to do with people filling houses with barrels? Makes them easier to empty? Not sure.Actually come to think about it. Don't water barrels not block anything anymore? If that's true what is the water barrel issue?
it's both ... obviouslyI've been doing a little testing with the new barding mastery abilities. It seems as though any spellcasting interrupts the mastery, rather than taking damage as per the description. Bug or intended?
DEV is this the reason?water barrels annoy me - that's the issue and now it's half fixed ... yay
We will see about giving you guys some watering love in the near future.
Thank you, Mesanna! You just made my day.Thats my mistake, they were added as craftables I missed it on the notes, going back to add them now.
Fantastico.. cause I don't have the room to store 100 water pitchers and a water trough so I can play with plants and aquariums!I wanted to let everyone know the fix with the water pitchers was to address an issue with water barrels. This was not meant to make it harder on cooks or gardners. We will see about giving you guys some watering love in the near future.
how about just wiping water barrels out of existence? The use of them to block is against tos? no?Why not just disallow water barrels from overflowing and leave pitches as is. Matter of fact are water barrels able to overflow? Better yet just put a limit in for water barrels. Not sure what water barrels are used for in the wild and why this is a concern. Blocking? I know better solution. Just make sure water barrels filled by players has a decay rate or at least a server up clean up.
This both pisses me off and signals the end of my plant growing. WTF are magic waves supposed to be for, and why the hell are they taking out an easter egg. It wasn't a damn bug or exploit, it was an easter egg.1.) I don't like that they aren't allowing us to "overfill" water pitchers anymore. It sure made watering plants and doing the Translocation Powder quest easier. *If anything, stop the water barrel overfilling and them never disappearing or going away at server crap.

I don't think they block anything anymore, But removing them is maybe too far. A RP guild on Europa have custom built roads through Yew made out of them for their player town 'Stonekeep' would be a shame for all those to be deleted.how about just wiping water barrels out of existence? The use of them to block is against tos? no?
Wow. I don't believe it. Really wish my laptop handled the EC a lot better than it does. I've missed being able to do that....
Items can now be dropped onto mobile health bars, object handles, the portrait window, and the target window. ... YES YES YES!!! An OLD 3d enhancement that is LOOOONG Overdue!
I wanna get in on that too. I wonder if existing pitchers will be fixed?*cries*#
Water pitchers can no longer be over filled
I haven't placed a faction trap in ages, but some people may have been getting too creative with trap and barrel combinations. I'm guessing that not being able to overfill a pitcher will probably make it too cumbersome to load up parts of a faction base with filled water barrels.Actually come to think about it. Don't water barrels not block anything anymore? If that's true what is the water barrel issue?
I don't feel gardeners were "exploiting" really. What they were doing was harming no one. It was the people who abused it with the water barrels.I find it endlessly amusing that people are now crying about an exploit being fixed just because they were exploiting it.
I'm assuming this isn't intended. And it strikes me as a pretty big deal."the new barding spell despair, when it kills a target causes their corpse to vanish."
So exploiting is ok, as long as it doesn't harm anyone? Its funny how people who otherwise use black and white morals all of a sudden become very grey in their perception when their own exploitation is brought in to light, heh.I don't feel gardeners were "exploiting" really. What they were doing was harming no one.
This one not a exploit it was put in by the DEV them selves as a easter egg. i remmember how happy the community was when they found it.I find it endlessly amusing that people are now crying about an exploit being fixed just because they were exploiting it.
I didn't see that anywhere...though I am highly annoyed that only Discordance got any offensive ability and such powerful ones too, while provocation and peacemaking have somewhat more limited usability for many bards.Just wanted to mention this again.

You can use Despair to make corpses go poof!
Think about that a moment.

As far as I remember it, it was a bug, which they shock off as an easter egg by saying "just take it as an easter egg" or words to that effect. This one not a exploit it was put in by the DEV them selves as a easter egg. i remmember how happy the community was when they found it.
Commence the "Green Thumb Army of Rebellion" EM Event!
*goes to search for a pitchfork and potting soil*
Don't know the intended reason at first. But once a dev say it's a easter egg we can't change the fact that it's a easter egg. If they said oh no a exploit they would of got rid of and told everyone it's not intended. So after a decade later it's still a easter egg.As far as I remember it, it was a bug, which they shock off as an easter egg by saying "just take it as an easter egg" or words to that effect.
I tried this, and it happens with both Tribulation and Despair. It's fun to have new bard abilities, though!Just wanted to mention this again.

Because, you know, adding a toggle for it is "hard."If the UI modders are really interested in keeping the pet window, save the old Default.zip file before patching.
1. In Interface.xml, add:
<Include file="Source/PetWindow.xml" />
2. In Interface.lua, add to Interface.CreatePlayWindowSet():
CreateWindow( "PetWindow", true )
3. Copy PetWindow.xml and PetWindow.lua to the Source folder.
Why fix the pitcher instead of fixing the water barrels?I wanted to let everyone know the fix with the water pitchers was to address an issue with water barrels. This was not meant to make it harder on cooks or gardners. We will see about giving you guys some watering love in the near future.
Except for the Artificer one... unless Item Identification has become useful some how?The new starter templates look decent ... I might just have to try out a couple.
While I don't agree with the tone, I agree with the sentiment. I love mobile bars, I've had them with Lucis Mod for a while now, but the pet bar has been one of my favourite features of the EC since day one.Really? WHY???
Why take another FEATURE out of the EC??
People seemed to LIKE this gump - the ability to see pet status as a clickable menu...
People LIKED the KR party gump too... Able to hide it all with one click if needed.
Please stop removing features without actually bothering to talk to the EC players.
Seriously. Stop.
haven't read all the way through the thread yet, but just had to say "thank you".I wanted to let everyone know the fix with the water pitchers was to address an issue with water barrels. Does this mean that all a duper would have to do now would be slow down his connectipon to re-anable black-holing? Seems to me that this would not be too hard for them to do.Yes - and the reason for both dates from the black-holing issue that nearly disappeared before the release of AoS.
With the standard computers of the AoS period already being over 1 GHz processor speed (and 256 MB or more RAM), the issues that caused black-holing (and required the delay) can't really occur on the machines that run the current forms of the client. I've only heard of a couple black-holing incidents in the last 7 years, via Stratics, and both of those were on minimal-requirement machines using dial-up.
Yeah! How about an item or house add on that can be used as an endless water source not requiring pitchers or barrels.I wanted to let everyone know the fix with the water pitchers was to address an issue with water barrels.
