"UI rendering in the Enhanced Client might be much slower than it should be. Our software engineers are working to find and fix issues such as this."

Nice to see that their two engineers are working on this. It's been, what, 3 years?
Sorry.. just feeling nasty lately.

Do they just pick the questions randomly?

I mean people are asking about puzzle room issue to no end. Dev could at least give a response?

Or what about the durability issue with weapons?

Every FoF I see questions answered that does not match to what the general public wants to know.

Or what about the durability issue with weapons?

Sak has already aknowleged there is a durabilty issue and they are looking into it.

As far as the puzzle room... I have never known a single FoF to aknowledge that there is an unresolved exploit in the game. It would basically be a banner to go figure it out.

About the imbuing menu changes. I don't know If I've seen it in the suggestions but could it be possible to put the total/max mods enhanced indicator on the item selection screen? Too many times when building a 70's suit do I build resists first then top off remaining mods with w/e else. I do a lot of gear swapping during the process. But it isn't a big hassle to select the property then abort if I am getting close to the 5 mod cap.

Please tell me you are going to fix Cleansing Winds spell. It is way over powered. Plus Mysticism allows you to play it without imbuing. All thats needed for all the cool spells is Mysticism/Eval Int.
Uh... I hope this is a joke. Mysticism SHOULD be playable WITHOUT Imbuing. What other spell system REQUIRES you to have a crafting skill in order to gain the best benefit out of it?

Magery gains a BONUS from Inscription. Mysticism REQUIRES imbuing in order for Spell Trigger to offer you more than 2 spells, for Healing Stone to heal more than a modicum of damage, for Enchant to be useful, for Animated Weapon to do more than nothing, for Stone Form to have any real purpose, and for Rising Colossus to be at its most effective. That's 6 of 16 spells that REQUIRE Mysticism to be at their full potential. And one of them requires Tactics as well.

As for Cleansing Winds being overpowered? Uh... come on.

I hope that Mythic's not going to kowtow to this kind of request, because frankly, Cleaning Winds should be left as is, and the rest of the spells should gain a SMALL bonus from Imbuing if that's the route they choose, but should be effective WITHOUT it.

Well the imbuing/weighting/unraveling question was one I posed 2 weeks ago. Glad to get the official answer but I had already deciphered the info myself with some help from others.

The split damage he referred to and its being 100% actually doesn't count towards the unraveling score. It does however count as 1 of your 5 possible properties to imbue. I guess that's why they are trying to figure out how to deal with it.

Yea, because Magery and Necromancy don't have secondary skill requirements for full effectiveness.

I already addressed that in my original post. Stop being a troll. Nice that you can post a bunch of dunce caps in response. I'm glad people like you are supposedly volunteering your time for the betterment of Stratics. Wonderful double-standard you have here. I don't believe I was a jerk in my response, so I'd appreciate it if you weren't one in yours.

Does your EV or your Vengeful Spirit REQUIRE you to have Inscription, or do you get a slight damage bonus for having it? Does their performance radically alter with or without it?

How about addressing the REAL issues ?

1. are you going to fix the durability issues ?
2. are you going to fix the puzzle room exploit ?
3. are you going to put in a punkbuster type system ?
4. are we going to have a Halloween event ?5. are you going to rethink the chain quest and the new loot that requires you to going into fel to finish and or get ?
5. vet rewards ?

Are they seriously thinking about nerfing mysticism? I mean, I'm enjoying my new mystic, and I wouldn't call him weak exactly, but if they're planning on nerfing the skill into oblivion like they have with so much other previously-cool new stuff for SA, I'm not going to waste the effort to finish skilling him up and rounding out his suit.

Uh... neither Meditation nor Spirit Speak nor Evaluate Intelligence require millions of gold to train.
True... to 100. If you do champs regulary you wont spend a single gp past 100. But (on average) the time in the time it takes for you to do enough champs to get he right scrolls, fight off (or join) champ raids... requiring PvP skill (more time) and train skill/aquire skill for the above, you could have probably farmed enough gold to buy the scrolls 3x over.

If you are buying scrolls, eval alone will cost you 3x what it would take to get imbuing to 120.

Of course, the hunter/gather could farm/mine/chop everything for imbuing and not spend a single gp. So Actually it really costs nothing to train any of those skills depending on how you play the game.

Chivarly is the most expensive skill in the game to train from any sort of purist point of view. No way to farm, craft or steal tithing

You're correct there... I wasn't considering the Power Scrolls. I think it would be fairly close, and the other factor is the Power Scroll for 120 Imbuing or Mysticism. Mysticism, like Magery, is going to cost you an arm and a leg, and probably for the foreseeable future. Imbuing you can get from 50 relic fragments, but that's semi-expensive.
If you are buying scrolls, eval alone will cost you 3x what it would take to get imbuing to 120.
To 120? Maybe to 100... But yeah, I do get what you're saying.

just to add spending 50 relic frags to get 120 imbuing is not the route to go I would get the lower ones and use scroll binder to get the 120 !
i will gladly give anyone 2 120 imbuing scrolls for 50 relics

No. They pick questions that...

Have been asked by players submitting questions...
Have been asked by players during a Stratics HoC Chat but did not get answered due to time...
Have been asked by players on forums, etc.

From there, It is a question of what they can answer (obviously asking how to dupe items will not get answered, etc...).

In this weeks FoF, I recognize 4 of the 5 questions as being leftovers from the last UO-HoC - so while these answers may not be what you want to know - someone wants the answer!

Tha'ts a load of poppy c**k..... They pick them at random from the completely stupid questions submitted.... however anything that is a topic that is hotly discussed and SUBMITTED is IGNORED. Again and again and again... I can say I've submitted questions about the Exploit going on with the puzzle box... I've submitted questions about when they are going to "fix" or begin to work on the housing menu... so now here we are and still NOTHING is done to fix things with the housing menu... and YES I've asked again and again and again about REAL issues.... and gotten NOTHING in response..... do you see any of the answers to any of these things anywhere????? I sure don't....

And as for the mysticism spells .... do not nerf the bejebus out of it... it's a good skill.. but they've already got things silly since I'm working both mysticism and Imbuing on my character and to have one dependent on the other fine.... but when I'm imbuing shouldn't I then gain mysticism if they are related???? and if I'm thereby casting mysticism I SHOULD then gain imbuing... if I "have" to have one with the other....

Unless something has changed recently LRC does not cover tithing.
Try it yourself, I just verified...

Sacred Journey, normal suit on my Chiv/Macer: 1435 to 1420.

100% LRC Suit, Sacred Journey: 1420 to 1420.

It absolutely, positively, confirmed in game, does cover tithing.

Could have told you that.... it always has... dunno who started the rumor that it didn't but it does... personally I think that 100% LRC should be just that...

And maxing out your LMC should lower your mana cost no Matter WHAT is using your mana... Which to me should include inscribing scrolls.... and 100% lrc should do just that even when your INSCRIBING scrolls.....

Just hang on to it and train it for fun. They nerfed the whey out of weaving less than six weeks after ML release, but for a good cause. It is still extremely useful but not wildly overpowered. Course it also does not cramp a temp all to heck and back.

We were due for a FULL balance pass on all systems in game after release anyway according to Draconi. It was originally slated for before SA release but had to get pushed back. Now is as good a time as any.

Personally I don't find spellweaving fun. It is a good skill with a high-level focus, but unless you play with 4 other weavers on a daily basis, it's kind of a chore to pull the weaver out. But I guess what I really want is a new skill that I could actually build a template around. Mysticism, currently, is good enough for that. It's no more powerful than necro or chiv, and certainly not magery, but it's a genuinely good skill. I don't think it's asking too much for it to remain that way, and seeing what was done to gargoyles in beta (in particular), I don't trust the devs to have a light touch.

Can we not get FoFs that vaguely hint at potentially game-changing/breaking things to come without giving any real details? If there's concrete info to be passed on, by all means, do so, but this is just the sort of thing that I find a bit irritating. There are plenty of other legitimate questions that need to be answered...and now I'm just wondering what they're planning to do to a skill that I've spent the better of the last week figuring out how to use effectively and train and fit into a template.

I've been PvPing with my mystic since a week after SA came out. Cleansing Wind unbalanced? It's a SIXTH CIRCLE spell! It takes forever to cast with 2 FC where Remove Curse is REALLY fast on 4/6 chivers. The other spells are comparable or worse than magery or necro for the VERY most part.

I honestly think the imbuing gives the appropriate amount of help to mystics. It does help but not completely necessary and I myself don't run imbuing on mine as inscribe is to magery. Mystic already requires Eval to be effective on most spells which is plenty to fill up 720 points.

There's absolutely NO reason to complain about a perfectly good skill. There are plenty of other malfunctions in game to be concerned with.

This was a depressingly bad FoF.

Good thing I'm having a lot of fun with this expansion, enough that it's making me overlook the lack of attention to the puzzle room exploit and the lack of warning on entering Felucca through the Stygian Abyss.

This is the first FoF in a long time I've seen that doesn't repeat UHall posts with dev/(EA/Mythic/BioWare) answers. By all of my standards, this FoF was a success. Of course my standards are low..

I'm too lazy to find the thread and post.. some UHall'er said the FoF should address one Current Issue, one Current Bug, one Aware of Bug, one Wishful Thinking, and some other thing. (I actually can remember posting the "and another I can't remember" and getting the correct issue.)

This was the best format idea ever... but I am happy with non-repeating information. EA/Mythic/BioWare people don't listen to us peons.. get used to it.

This FoF covered THREE big questions that have come up in the Craftsman forum, so anyone that claims that it didn't provide anything this week apparently doesn't craft or imbue.

Oh, and as for the Chiv/LRC issue - I know where the confusion comes from.

LRC does work for Chivalry, BUT - you must have the minimum tithing for the spell being cast, or it will fail from not having the tithing.

In other words, if you were casting a Chivalry spell that requires 20 tithing points, if you have 100% LRC, it will fail if you have 19 or less tithing points available. At 20 or more points, the LRC will kick in, and the spell will cast, and use 0 tithing points. This is why it is generally recommended to put 100 or more tithing points on any Chiv user that uses a 100% LRC suit, for emergency casting without the suit, and to make sure such emergency casting doesn't leave you stranded once you get the suit back on.

Cleansing Winds is not overpowered and should not be nerfed. Mages have gotten the short end of the stick with new updates for YEARS. Mysticism has finally given a couple things back to mages. Please do not nerf this.
