You do realize you could bank 11 weapon lbods for a valorite runic hammer right?
yea but how long will it take you to collect 11 LBODs and the 55 SBODS to fill them. IMHO I really see the bank point system unused for the most part.
I was using lowest possible numbers. That is the max (basing 20x weapon lbod) you would need for a valorite hammer. 7 lbod gold 10x produces a valorite hammer as well. Getting enough sbods and lbods I really don't see as being a problem...
The combination of the LBOD and the SBODs needed to fill them is still a lot of BODs. 6 20Ex Bronze Plate LBOD at 1000 would be 6 to get a Val hammer. Not only do you need 20 LBODs that you would need to Bribe up but now you need the 36 SBODs that you may have to bribe up. The chances of you getting 6 Bribable LBODs and 36 Bribable SBODs are VERY HIGH, we are dealing with the RNG. The vast majority of the BODs I get, turning in and collecting or just collecting my 3 a day are NORM. 10-20 norm wep bods so maybe in a couple of months I might see Plate BODs and having them bribable to anything but 20Ex Val is VERY HIT AND MISS. If UO was a Casino in Vegas it would be the richest Casino ever using the RNG to compute our odds of beating the house. I am not worried one bit about banking points effecting the market for crafters unless they up the points given for BODs for the bank system.
That's where the weapon lbods are helpfull. Extremely cheap to bribe to max from minimum. Heck polearm lbods would be great lol. Also the fact that these are using up iron ingots is a plus. It shouldn't be easy for someone to save up enough for the top end runics, but this certainly doesn't make it impossible.
You are right it will make it possible but IMHO I do not see it happening as fast as some people think it will so the amount of Hammers this will allow people to get is going to be very small and I honestly do not see it as a problem for the Crafters.
I agree completely. It's just another avenue that someone can take to get a high end runic.
Where the hell do you get em? I go with a legendary smith/tailor and get nothing but weapon/shield bods 95% of the time!!! I have books full of em! I was fortunate in an IDOC to pull out quite a few DC and Shadow LBODS for armor, but after 8 months still havent been bless with the SBODS to fill em?
Where do you get all these good LBODS and all the SBODS to go with em? You running a dozen smiths or what?
Bribing? Frustrates the hell outta me...need a normal moved to except, go bribe...instead they change the quantity.
Got the except ya need, just need to bribe it up from 15 to 20? go bribe...they change the color...
Yep you guessed it, want to move it to another color? they will change the qty...
Bribing is the sorriest lamest most unpredictable excuse for an improvement ever. well, at least until reforging came along
Buying them, Idocs, and trading them I've gotten quite a few. Bribing to me is great but I am on a slower server so it will work a little better for me. I do have .1 smithing on all my characters on 3 shards and take advantage of my shard shields. So that's 63-126 fresh bods daily.

yeah I can't hang with the big boys...I have a life outside lol, aint no way I'm doing all that to get by on bods. I'll just keep getting my weapon bods everyday and tossing them...I dont like mining nowdays, so I wont waste the ingots to fill a weapon bod to bank 2 points.
BODs was an inherited obsession for me. I picked up 1500 one day at an idoc and have been obsessed since. Nothing better listening to some classic rock and filling bods.... god I'm old.
Keep in mind if you save those weapons to fill a lbod each one is worth ~15 points per bod which would be about 20% return on those bods...
