I don't know about you but the turkeys that I have fought have cast something on me that takes almost half my life away. Sounds to me like it's ok to fight from cover.

This is why, in my opinion, it's OK.

This way, you can't set up the combat, walk away and go watch TV and fix a sandwich and come back to find the monster dead. It has a ranged attack, that is pretty devestating. There IS risk, even if it cant hit you with melee.

Yeah thats why I think it's debatable. I *think* if you stand back far enough it won't hit you with it's ranged attack, but then again it teleports you to it under certain conditions...I'm sure the devs don't care, but I find it fun to argue the finer points of the law. More fun than killing turkeys! What do they have, infinity plus a thousand HP? I know they take 9 hours too cook, but this is ridiculous!

That quote does not include using housing or terrain to your advantage. The AI doesn't preclude the creature from unsticking itself, thus this does not apply.

If you blocked it inside a private castle courtyard and attacked it from the rafters, then yes, I'd say this applies.

The devs may want to pretend using house corners is an "exploit", but they've had just over 10 years to "fix" it. Thus, they do not WANT to fix it.
