Arrr, well what kind o' a spoilers thread be that then?!?It doesnt, thats whay I asked!
You should try to go over it again, because you seem to have missed out on some of the details. It doesnt, thats whay I asked!
Yep..really stinks big time you get teleported like crazy to begin with but for this to happen when your read is insane..hard to get a rezz due to thisum yea if you die they will still teleport you back to them
say helpWhere do I find turkeys?
Do I need to speak with Wilson at the zoo?
What do you ask Wilson?
Well, you can use summons/pets, but the turkeys retaliate by teleporting you to them when your pet/summon attacks it. You end up dying a lot that way.Ok, Im officially confused!
One thread going implies summons and/or taming are ok to use. Another thread implies that they are not.
Anyone have an idea of whats up, which is correct?
Double click all the giant turkey eggs and break them and loot the bag you find with it.what do u do with the nest when u find it
The pack is always there whether you collapse the nest or not.just to be a little more explicit.
My nest had three giant eggs in it, no regulars. One by one I dble clicked the eggs to make them disappear. Well, I used to swords of prosp and targeted the eggs actually. When the third egg was destroyed the whole nest went *poof* and there was a brown bag that was only a slightly different color than the ground where the nest had been.
It had all the loot. I had no pack drops except for the map at all.
Seen many around Moonglow on Europa . Should be possible to provoke some there . close to water around town .*backs away from the table*
"Help, I think it's a Giant Mutant UO Turkey!"
Family shakes their heads, agreeing in whispers what they've been suspecting: that I've been spending way too many hours on UO.
Seriously, I've been having frustrating fun with these avian giants. I have yet to find a pair to discord and provoke though. Is there some area where pairs are more liable to spawn? Thank you.
Probably...I've got 115 Music, Provo and Peace but the game says I have "no chance" of peacing or provoing these birds. I'm using an exceptional instrument but I don't have a bird slayer talisman. Is my only hope 120 bard skills?
The loot from the corpse or from the nest area? Do you have give in a particular container or anything like that?if you take the bird loot to the butcher and drop it on him he gives you stuffing ! not sure if he gives other things yet .....
the butcher will also give you a harvesters blade!
Barding difficulty for the turkeys is 160. So at 115 provo, 115 music and exceptional instrument, you have just about the absolute minimal required to bard it. Unless the barding formula was changed.I've got 115 Music, Provo and Peace but the game says I have "no chance" of peacing or provoing these birds. they are attained by dropping the bird you get from destroying eggs in the nest on a butcherwhats on it? and any sort of chance of a pic?
I posted a picture in this threadwhats on it? and any sort of chance of a pic?
They're not common, so it takes a while, keep destroying the eggs, that's where they come from.Am I doing something wrong or are Plucked turkeys just a random drop because I've done bout 10 nest so far destroying the eggs and I haven't gotten one.
I have gotten 2 cornacopias.
They also come from the turkey corpse, thats where I got mine from. They're not common, so it takes a while, keep destroying the eggs, that's where they come from.
I soloed one on test, 777 arrows and 45 minutes later, he dropped. A regular 120 archer with bushido skills and a horselord.....oh and I used the corner of someones house to keep him still.
So it's game mechanics, right? Or do you stand there ready to be hit by a greater dragon, since running away is an exploit?Pretty sure using the corner of a house to trap a non-casting monsters is an exploit. *shrugs*
This seems to come up every event, when people use boats to fight things or other methods to trap monsters. Kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it? Or is the purpose just to get the same items everyone is going to end up with anyways, who cares about a challenge...
Dude I didn't make up the rules, that's just how it is. The idea is if you prevent a mob from being able to get to you to attack you then you are exploiting. I don't think this counts for magic casting monsters but if the only magic the turkey casts is EQ then it might count for them.So it's game mechanics, right? They fixed it already, turkeys teleport around to get past the corners. House edges are known for ages, therefore it shouldn't be a prob for devs...
We don't talk about bugged quivers, we talk about some mob being very powerfull but not smart enough to round a house edge. I don't call that an exploit, but poor code. They want to present a challenge, but can't get the most obvious things done (again: house edges are known for ages). And now another bad code is revealed: you can simply refresh a nest and do it I don't know how many times! Maybe the trouble within EA detained proper coding in this case (the Halloween Thing was very well done); but these probs make me remember the bad times of this game, which I hoped we had passed.Dude I didn't make up the rules, that's just how it is. BTW just because you are using "game mechanics" doesn't mean it's legal. You could use "game mechanics" to get a bugged quiver, and look how they crack down on people with those, even if they weren't to bug them in the first place. "The game will let me do it so it must be legal" defense shouldn't be believed by anyone.
Pretty sure using the corner of a house to trap a non-casting monsters is an exploit. *shrugs*Oh my goodness...seriously?? That's like saying getting a Rikki cornered in Fel is an exploit. Will running be an exploit next? It's not like we are duping stuff, or macroing unattended. Fix that first and then worry about those of us who use in game stuff to fight in game monsters.
I don't think so, I used this technique and its very good. Its like shooting a gun from behind a wall. Its a way of protecting yourself, I think saying its an 'exploit' is too far. It's the turkeys fault for being stupid and not noticing it can walk around the corner.Pretty sure using the corner of a house to trap a non-casting monsters is an exploit. *shrugs*

Grady: "It ain't older than runnin..."
I used the house-corner method myself, and I admit it is a fine line. The turkey can still hit you with the sonic gobbles, but at the same time if you heal regularly, you pretty much can't lose.
But then, firing from cover has been done by archers since the dawn of time. That's just the nature of the weapon.
QUESTION
Is it legal to block NPC's or monsters with objects, or invisible pets/players?
ANSWER
It is not legal to block NPC's or monsters with objects. The deliberate blocking of monsters or NPC’s with objects such as boats, crates, house tiles, invisible pets or invisible players with the intent to gain an unfair advantage, like skill gain or monster killing is considered an exploit and can result in account penalties. This also applies to “animal pens” or “Safe areas” in the game world. If the animal/monster cannot damage you, then you are abusing the system and will be asked to stop.
As well, if you find an area blocked off by items that another player has left there to gain an advantage for taming or monster kill, we ask that you either destroy the items, or pick them up for later disposal. Using these items to your advantage, even though you did not place them yourself, is still considered exploiting.
However there are times in which we will allow this. If your home is set up to be a stable, or you are showing off various animals of Britannia and these animals are not being used to gain skill, attack other players (in Trammel), or provide any unfair advantage to you or others then it is ok to leave your pets/animals in your home. However, please be aware that a Game Master may remove any wild pets if those pets are found providing an unfair advantage to other players or are causing an issue with the game in that area. These decisions are made on a case by case basis and players should follow the decision made at the time.
I don't know about you but the turkeys that I have fought have cast something on me that takes almost half my life away. Sounds to me like it's ok to fight from cover.QUESTION
