Apologies if you stop by and the popular things are not there. I have been putting 500-1500 POT and 2-3 bags on every other day and relic frags and ess as often as I can. Seeds of renewal I will put on every plant cycle usually 180-240 depending on if the RNG loves me that day or Hates me. So I stock up the vendor and think I am good for 2-3 days and come by a couple hours later and only the deco stuff is left. Again sorry for not being able to stay well stocked. I typically restock around 6am cst. So the earlier you hit the vendor the better the odds of getting what you are lookin fer.

Well, you probably ARE the market, so, I would expect many shoppers. :p

Unfortunately.... I am going to raise my powder prices from 500 per charge to 1000 per charge :( Seems a couple of people are buying most if not all of my stock and putting it on their vendors for 1000 per charge. 500 is what I believe is a fair price but I am not going to do all of the work so some broker can double their money on my efforts :(

I charge 750 per because I have hated farming it lol. I like it for training but it can be a pain because it isn't fast going.

Hehe so we go back to much lower supply which was slim to start with or I can flood the market with powder and drive the price crazy low. Can't see even you dropping 180 mil on trans powder just to keep the price high ;)

I can start selling powder again at 1000 gold, With my arthritis I rather enjoy that slow play gathering zoogie. I just set my two top mouse buttons for Poison Field and Hide and the only real mousing I have to do is getting a bunch following me. :D

I've found it being bought for 300 per bolt at the bazaar, 350 per on vendor search.

Sold a 1000 for 150 each to a fellow crafter and 900 at the bazaar. Didn't average out to bad. :)

Don't mind at all someone selling it for whatever they want. Just annoys me when I sell it low to help folks with less gold out when someone buys it off my vendor and then doubles the price. SO on the vendor it is 950 per charge and off the vendor 500 to folks needing it but not able to afford it at 100k per 100. It really ain't like any of us playing this powder game need the gold :)

Well I could use it, just over a million gold now thanks to hunting monsters farther up the critter food chain thanks to now 120 skills. I'd like to have a few dozen mill again. :p

I hear ya. I'm not sayn to jack up the price so it's unaffordable. After much work on your part in the front end, You do have the luxury of having the stock. But if I had to farm it just to stock it I would definitely charging for my time. Heck I barely have time to play now. As much as I like to help people out when I can, I don't want to spend every one of my minutes in game simplifying everyone else's game play. Let's face it, there are people on this shard that do have gold......and probally alot of it cuz there is nothing else to spend it on. I know personally I would pay for the convince. All of us who play siege regularly know what a pain it is to want or need an item and can't get it right away. Most of us all want that instant gratification. In the last year or so I have changed my way of thinking. I am no longer in a rush to obtain things. I am also more apt to get rid of items I don't have an immediate use for. If we all did that there would be soooooo much stuff on vendors and the economy would be alive and well. We have had a great influx of new players and thecshard is bone dry. I've said this in past posts, "how many castles full of items that you will never use or even see the light of day do you need?" Just sell it people.....you don't need it. Now I'm not sayn newer players have gold just to blow but there is nothing for them to work towards either. It's the small things on siege that prodo players take for granted. New chars on siege could use ps, alacrity and sot books as an example. How many of those are just locked away in chests? Cheap wep, jewels and armor so they can hunt to increasee there bankroll to buy stuff on vendors. Wether it's imbue mats or a doom orni. Like I said. There are no short term goals to work toward. Vet siege players would also have to refrain form buying items just to have it in Stock. Which goes back to stop hoarding items

I'm done soap boxing. I don't want to derail your thread. I don't feel the masses of Siege players even listen to what I have to say. I get it, it is hard to change habits and the way we think.

I had the same issues before. I always try to price my stuff so noobs can get it, and when I was running a few spawns a day for primers/PS people were threatening to find and kill me because my prices were too low. :(

Yeah I think general lack of vendors is a significant issue. High end stuff is especially noticeable.

Went through the bazaar vendors a couple days back. Only things worthwhile to sell there is cloth & Daemon Claws. Nothing else is worth the bother of hauling from house to bazaar to sell, much less to go hunting for to sell. The people who are running vendors there need to offer better prices if they want people to get and make stuff for them.

I would like to set up a bazaar vendor here but not sure what people would say is "fair" prices. I would like it set up to buy all types of ingots, wood, leathers, cloth, bandages, transpowder, Mage and necro regs, potions, and such for myself to use or have available for others to buy and not a large markup because I don't need much gold to get by.
If you were to sell stuff to them what would make you or the average person happy to sell it? I am asking because vendors don't have this stuff on them and so I can't vendor search. I will set one up and spend my gold to do this.

I tried the bazaar a few years back and found it to be less than worthwhile. The exception was my pet stall, fire beetles, blue beetles and swamp dragons sold very well.

I mug sheep and cotton fields quite often and got something like 5000 or 6000 leather while training on Lesser Hiryu I can toss on a vendor if Landreu works up the ambition. I've been donating leather to the Library to try for a decent Alchemy Talisman so not sure what I have of the colored leathers, might have to load the cannons and go mug some merchants.

The buyers go low prices, the sellers want more, enough to make gathering the items worth their time. Few will bother gathering for hours to make a few hundred or thousand silvers for the time when they can hunt and kill monsters and make 1000+ gold each kill. Pretty much why I've upped my skills and can go after the wealthier monsters now. I'd say think of what you would like to sell the resources for and offer something that's fairly close to that. If no one sells the goods to you at that price, nudge the price up a bit until people start selling to you.

That is very true. I am mainly wanting the resources for myself. I would be willing to have the resell price a little higher incase others wanted a good price as well. I like crafting but mainly for bods and what have you. So for personal use the price can be lower but then that's where the battles begin on what is good and bad pricing. I wouldn't want to drive prices up or down and destroy the market either.

Then start out with low prices and nudge them up over time if no one sells to you. If you get sold all you want quickly then nudge the price down so it's sold to you at a rate that works well for you.

The market isn't in good shape right now. Someone was offering like 40 gold for each Gate Scroll, something that costs something like 48 gold in components and a lot of time due to the mana regeneration time. Tanivar had Meditation 100, Focus 110, and MR6 on his suit and made around 200 in an hour and a half. 8000 gold for that isn't worth it.

It's greed, no one wants to sell an item that isnt going to be "used" by the intial purchaser. Maybe its just me but I do care who the buyer is. I don't want to feed a resellers vendor. The very first time I attempted to make and sell basic suits, they all got bought out and placed on someone elses vendor. That's not supply and demand, thats greed. There was a time when sales were easy, "how much you want for it.....this amount....sold"...Now it's "oh i dont know, what are they worth"...well the last one sold at auction for blah blah blah...anyway my.02, keep this thread going though, I love the explanations of how things are farmed "wink wink".

Actually the attitude we gatherers need to have is, if they don't want to buy from us at a decent price, they can go get it themselves.

We poor gatherers can usually make more gold far faster by mugging monsters anyways. :p

Yeah, I have run a vendor in the past to help peeps get stuff they need. It's not about the gold for a lot of people so I think the resells can be disheartening. It's pretty unavoidable, of course.

I just love seeing the comments that have been made in this thread. It was my laugh for the day!
But keep the comments coming - i need a good laugh every now and then.

When i sell something it is no longer mine and i could care less what they do with it.
I'd increase my prices if things are selling too fast (never a problem on Siege) and lower them if I want to get rid of it or if i am in need of cash.
When I buy something - I buy because I need it or intend to use it - or if the price is low enough as an investment.
What do i care if I sell an item and another player puts it on his vendor at a higher price. I am not a socialist.

Things that should change on Siege:

1) What I think needs to change is NPCs selling resources (jewels, fish, scrolls, band aids etc).
You should only be able to buy resources from another players never a NPC.

2) Lower the vendor fees to make selling items more profitable.

In most cases I would agree with you in the once it is sold that it does not belong to me. But when you are just trying to help new and not so wealthy players out it gets annoying fast. For weeks there was ZERO POT on Vendor Search and after I stocked my vendor, all of the sudden there is that much on Vendor Search at 2x what it was on my vendor for. Had the broker asked I probably would have did a bulk deal with them as I have around 50,000 powder in reserve and 140,000 Zoogies stock piled. What this has caused is for me to put no more than 200 powder on the vendor at a time and up the price to take the profit out of it for the reseller. Of course I will still help new folks out with cheap POT and BOS but not on a vendor and only 1 30 charge bag and 100 powder at a time.

Yeah, I know it's likely to take zillions of high end donations. I've got two 25+ ones on Chessie. Don't do much else with what I gather here though and it's hardly worth tieing up storage with comm deeds in the bank. :violin:

We should get a small group together and do a couple of dreads, Lady Ms, Doom runs etc. a couple times per week. LOL it has been so long since I have did any of those I will be as good as a noob so we can all suck and get good at it together.

I have the tamer side covered with A good mare, runebeetle combo or the Slag Dragon. A Mystic/Mage/Bard a Archer and maybe a Sampire Dexxer would make a good party.

I've only been in a couple ML dungeons and only a couple times because I'd get wasted barely a screen or two in, didn't run Stealth back then. I'm game to try the runs as a Stealther/Mage with Disco or Provo. Don't want to go in with an unfamiliar skill setup until I learn to avoid getting swarmed and slaughtered because I can't invis or hide. :p

I had the same thing happen to me with my lvl 1 masterys. I would put them on my vendor for free and after someone found them, they started taking them all and putting them on a vendor for 5000k. Now i just hold them if new people need them. Also have taken all my PS, Masterys, and SOT,s down because vendor cost way too much.
