The book for day two may be found south of the Moonglow Telescope at 34o 1' N 122o 25' W. It is on the SE most piece of land that is part of the eastern peninsula of Verity Isle - just SE of the southern house.
calm down with the SA stuff, there's no proof that you need SA to get the items. You might just be having bad luck. That happens you know -_-Nothing again either, just a warhammer. Guess if you don't have SA yet, you might want to hold off a bit.
omgz, spoilers! lolThe book for day two may be found south of the Moonglow Telescope at 34o 1' N 122o 25' W. It is on the SE most piece of land that is part of the eastern peninsula of Verity Isle - just SE of the southern house.
I concede that, having not done that other quest I wouldn't know.in the house quest I was getting artifacts at a ratio of 1 in 8 attempts. Getting crap is no indication of any client, luck or any other factor being better. Just the outcome of the RNG.
Now having said that, who do you talk to, to get the clue for day two?
Ricardo. Don't need to do so much as talk, just listen to his ramblings. Now having said that, who do you talk to, to get the clue for day two?
I can FIRMLY ESTABLISH that you DO NOT have to have SA to get special items, as my non-SA account had one of the cloaks from the house event drop, and another character on the account got a relic fragment.calm down with the SA stuff, there's no proof that you need SA to get the items. You might just be having bad luck. That happens you know -_-Nothing again either, just a warhammer. Guess if you don't have SA yet, you might want to hold off a bit.
What the hell are you people talking about? What Treasures of Ricardo event?
Wtf?
Huhwhat?
That's not the point. You have plenty of time to do this quest.![]()
Why do they always release this stuff so late on a Friday? I can't believe that EA still runs things according to Pacific time, ignoring the fact that more people play OUT of that time zone than in, even on the Pacific shard.
Doesn't do much good to start a quest unless you announce it, which according to the time stamp, was last night. The quest was active at server up on Friday.
Connor does have a point... I wouldn't have even known a quest was going on if I didn't randomly check stratics...Doesn't do much good to start a quest unless you announce it, which according to the time stamp, was last night.
Well, guess what....I can't believe grown fossils still type wtf. I say, what the hell mel.....the game: it is what it is, play it and like it or go outside. Why do they always release this stuff so late on a Friday? I can't believe that EA still runs things according to Pacific time, ignoring the fact that more people play OUT of that time zone than in, even on the Pacific shard.
Okay, but really, what's all the fuss about? I mean, commentary about the formatting of the fiction, the quality of the fiction, and the few bugs that are plaguing the quest aside, and focusing on the issue of when the quest was announced, does it really make some gigantic difference to you whether you start the quest yesterday or today? I mean, it's not as if you miss out on anything... do book 1, talk to a lieutenant, do book 2, talk to the same lieutenant, and you're caught up.Doesn't do much good to start a quest unless you announce it, which according to the time stamp, was last night.
Yeah, really that IS the point, you just don't like it.That's not the point. You have plenty of time to do this quest.![]()
Kinda your responsibility to keep up on the game you play, not Stratics'. Check the UO Herald every once in a while too.Connor does have a point... I wouldn't have even known a quest was going on if I didn't randomly check stratics...
You need to step the **** back. I never said anything about how much time we had to do the quest. What I said was they should have announced it when it was turned on, and not 12+ hours later. This isn't a difficult concept, even you should get it, but then again, maybe not.Yeah, really that IS the point, you just don't like it.
Chill.
Yeah, and the quest was turned on at server up according to what I'm hearing. Wow, almost 12 full hours later. Imagine that. rolleyes:The fiction, poor as it is, was posted at 6pm CST - not exactly "late night," unless you live in Europe.
What part of "they didn't announce the quest until a half a day later" don't you get?Kinda your responsibility to keep up on the game you play, not Stratics'. Check the UO Herald every once in a while too.
You're the one that's responding to posts without taking the time to comprehend what they say.....And here I complain about the Devs being lazy, the players are too...![]()
Oh Connor, you're such a treat... In a masochistic sort of way.You need to step the **** back. I never said anything about how much time we had to do the quest. There are several outlets for information. On Atlantic the event girl at the Luna bank was telling everyone to go see Avery, this was at server up on friday.Doesn't do much good to start a quest unless you announce it, which according to the time stamp, was last night.
Except, of course, that it's not unusual for a company to pre-prep something and then announce it with the launch that they had initially planned. You need to step the **** back. That would make sense if they hadn't let its presence be known in game, so obviously it wasn't "pre-prep".Except, of course, that it's not unusual for a company to pre-prep something and then announce it with the launch that they had initially planned.
Wrong, as explained above. People did know about it. It was just very few.As far as anyone knew, the quest didn't exist UNTIL THEY ANNOUNCED IT.
Obviously you didn't.This isn't a difficult concept, even you should get it, but then again, maybe not.
No blisters here, I'm corpse skin proof even in vamp form. Here's a novel idea, though. Stop working on blisters by venting your misplaced anger at some nefarious plot by Mythic to interrupt your pixel crack hounding time, and instead, log in and do the bloody quest.
Nope, not a difficult concept. By the way, your "ride" just took a wrong turn.....Again, not a difficult concept, but then... maybe you like ill-gotten blisters. Your world, not mine. I'm just here for the ride.![]()
It. Does. Not. Matter.{Blah blah blah...}
Based on what I've read so far, I'm gonna refrain this time as well. Can't believe this is the kind of garbage my subscription fees are paying for: Another set of quests for the greedy to get more junk and, from the sounds of it, buggy as ever. This is the kind of content that's making it very easy to spend less and less time on UO every day and eventually get to the point where it should be fairly painless to just go to the account maintenance website and yank the billing info off the rest of my accounts. Let the house contents fall where they may....Also note, this isn't a quest with some elaborate prize. This is a lab rat test, and you, me, and even mel, are all the cheese-eaters. This is a test of greed and what the playerbase has become.
Look, you even get someone, I'm sure they're over 18, jumping up and down, waving their arms.....oooh-oooh, next clue, over here!!
And yes, I'm doing it too, eating my cheese and seeing what kind of garbage I can collect this time.

Well, off to work for me and maybe I'll log in tonight and collect more loyalty point information so Petra can add it to the website and then some other lazy jerk can complain they don't know how to find it.
I never said I was heartbroken. If you want to be accurate, I'm more peeved that yet again the communication with the players is sub-par, and frankly, this is just one of a long line of similar incidents. If they're going to do something like this, they need to announce it to everyone, not just a few people that happened to be in the right place at the right time. Since "It. Does. Not. Matter." is merely your personal opinion, it has no bearing on EA's crappy job of communicating with the playerbase as a whole, so I'll just ignore it like I normally do similar statements. Turning an event on, then not letting the playerbase as a whole know it was there, is crappy management no matter how you want to look at it.It. Does. Not. Matter.
Yes, some of the EMs let people know a quest was starting Friday. Oh no. And EA put the quest people in at some point. And then they fired it up Friday morning, probably after server-up.
And then at some point later in the day they announced it.
And you're heartbroken.
Maybe you should consider taking your own advice.Get. Over. It.
Wanna put a few mil on that one? I could always use more gold.18,000+ posts, and I'll bet you most of them are in the same vein. Here... I brought you a new cup of milk. You can stop crying over the other one.
Uh... they DID let the playerbase know. You're just upset that they didn't send up fireworks the moment it was technically active. They made the announcement when THEY were ready to make it. What part of that don't you understand?{Drivel deleted...} Turning an event on, then not letting the playerbase as a whole know it was there, is crappy management no matter how you want to look at it.
Connor, I've seen a great deal of your posts around here. You really don't want to take that bet.Wanna put a few mil on that one? I could always use more gold.![]()
You should be!ok sorry to interrupt the bickering
If the quest is working for you, go through the western door of the warehouse and there should be a chest against the opposite wall. Double-click on it and a lantern will appear in your bag. However, for some reason, the chest isn't appearing for a lot of people (myself amongst them.) If it's not working for you, and you have a lantern left over from the housing quest, it works as well; take it to the ruins near Papua, hold it, light it and a book should appear in the middle. (The exact location of the ruins is divulged in one of the threads below.)but is this like the house quest was, where you can get day ones chest after day one? I like others just found out about this and Im trying to catch up. still looking for ricardo, have talked to avery and he tells me ricardo told him about a stash in a warehouse near brits wharf. have yet to see anything odd
Yeah, you can continue to do each day as they come active, so if you don't start until day 4, you can still do days 1, 2, and 3.ok sorry to interrupt the bickering but is this like the house quest was, where you can get day ones chest after day one? Where is Ricardo on LS?Ricardo. Don't need to do so much as talk, just listen to his ramblings.
*chuckles*More threads like these and I can cancel my cable TV.
did you get it from LT dan or crag? please say it was from dan ;-)I just got this...
![]()
Because we know nobody cares? Why not complain about the incoherent fiction riddled with errors (grammar and plot) that 30 minutes' work could have fixed
yea it was Dan. i was surprised..first trip on this new quest, i didn't get **** on the housing quest in 37 attemptsdid you get it from LT dan or crag? please say it was from dan ;-)
They can churn out as many mistake-ridden rush-jobs, contradict themselves as many times, and make as many unannounced plot retcons as they want, and nobody will care (except for a few people) as long as they get items out of it.
