Trade of the new players

Two returning players traded their full Suit of Initation for armor pieces like Heart of the Lion, Royal Ember Leggings, Ancient Samurai Helm, etc.

They obviously had no idea that those suits are not as common as the items above. They're trying to buy chargers now and they dont have enough gold to afford it. I think whoever made that trade should either return the items for the items he gave -as they dont have much value and honestly we all have tens of 'em- or compensate, but that's just me.

The bad thing is these are returning players with new accounts, something we see rarely in Europa.

Totally agree, That is very unfair. If I ever did that to someone I would feel bad forever.

I've just logged out, but it seems the evening is possibly going to end on a higher note; It turns out one of them at least has a 2009 Angel box, and someone was about to offer him either 10m gold or... a Charger of the Fallen. Hope he gets it!

No, you can only get a Suit of Initiation if you buy a (non-trial) new player account code.
I'm not sure if you need to buy a Stygian Abyss new player account for 19.99$, or if you also get it with the ML Buddy Registration new player code for 9.99$
This would set the maximum value of the suit at ~20M/~10M respectively, going with current gold exchange rates...

Promathia's post in that thread has a picture, and I can't see anyone ever wanting a set just for the look of it, or the stats.... it's entirely a 'rarity' value!

hearing general chat , its about 1 suit, also talking about new players , 1 player aint new at all , wearing a sorcerers suit and guilded.

some guy gave them both alot of money to buy the chargers , wich is in general ok, unless he got scammed by older players pretending to be young

I gave them some items to sell since that reminded me the bad start I'd made to UO. I hope I'm not scammed but I also dont care. I also figured that this is none of my business. I apologize if I hurt anyone with my interfering. I never thought these players were scammed, I just thought it wasnt a fair trade which is arguable considering items' worth is relative.
