Hello everyone.I was thinking about traking, and got a couple of ideas that would make it (in my opinion) an excellent skill.
Imagine, that all creatures moving leave footprints, that can be discovered with tracking skill. Then, the ranger just follows the track and finds their target.
The chance to find someon`s footprints and follow the track would depend on the the Tracking skill, the terrain, and the age of the footprints.
For example, it would be very easy to track someone on snow, sand or grass, but more difficult in dungeons, where the ground is firm.
It would be easier to pick fresh tracks than tracks left by someone twenty minutes ago.
That would make Tracking skill at last useful for FINDING someone, not just spotting some hiders hidden a few meters away from you.
