I wouldn't go to Origin...it's a very new shard and pretty much a dumping ground for brokers and transfers.
Atlantic, LS, and GL are all very good options. I played Atlantic for many many years..it is one of the largest shards out there.
Siege is another good option if you like a serious challenge. It's much more difficult than the normal shards, but if you like challenges it is the way to go.

Bah, Michigan only has 4 or 5 cold days a year.

Paragon Dragon. Takes me 1 min or so to kill an AW and 5-10 mins to kill a paragon dragon on my Bard. Now a Para AW is a whole other story.

To answer a few posts...
I agree, Origin isn't very populated atm (I believe it's changing).
The servers you named including SP are all good, that was my last server. I'm more concered about my wife and son at this point, hense no SP.
What about an paragon AW vs the DF?
That origin offer is VERY tempting (and being totally honest if you are. I see alot of people I like on these forms that play Origin, including devs and the such).

The hardest mob you ever soloed? Mine was a skeletal dragon pre-AoS. I never could get the AW tho. I haven't played post AoS YET. I'm waiting for the right time to rebuy an account here because I just missed the Jan. 16th reward deadline.

WHAT!!!!!? It's been BURRRRRRR Cold for weeks now! I remember, growing up here, when we would have blizzards! We get tons of Lake Effect snow! Lots of cold days! Not sure if your thinking about the right state? It's COLD in the winter here (though not as bad lately *cough global warming cough*).
Right now, we have several feet of snow outside.

The largest, I can only wounder how far UOHall will allow it to go. As to UO, I miss the lich in Moonglow cem, The 1st time I heard him, I ran so fast. I am also looking forward to UOKR as well.

My first scare was the first time I ran into a Murderer, back some 9 years ago. I forget what their name was. I remember seeing the murderer appear, which immediately made my heart jump and race! I started running and was chased for a good 10 minutes before I ran smack in the middle of the spawn below Trinsic. After being torn down by the spawn, the murderer kindly laid waste to the surrounding spawn and ressurected me and told me to run the other way, that I had a 10 second head start! (I died about 30 seconds later
)
After that, it inspired me to become a murderer myself, which I did quite successfully intil fate crashed down and started stripping me of my skills each time I perished. I made one more Murderer after that, who also fell victim to stat loss. Since then, I have played soley blues and greys, save for the occasional murdering spree on Test Center.

Or type "free image hosting" in google and you'll find more.
Now you just upload your picture to that site - follow the instructions - and copy ( Ctrl + c ) the URL for your picture.

Anybody remember the first time they died in UO?
For me it was with a friend. We decided to walk from Brit to Trinsic and thought it would be quite an adventure. This was pre Trammel. No sooner had we left Brit when my friend got bitten by a snake. We ran back to Brit healer to try and get cured but the poison wore off by the time we got there. We set off for a second time and three quarters of the way there, BAM! An orc mage came out of the forest and dirt napped us both in the blink of an eye. We walked to Trin as ghosts and lost all our stuff.
Those early days of innocence were some of the best ive had in UO.

Now theres an idea. Permadeath in UO. That would kinda make insurance or blessed items obsolete.
How about a shard with permadeath? No character transfer, one death and thats in. New character needed.
