Things Mythic can do to improve event Acts I & II

These are just a few things that should be relatively quick fixes that would remove some of the annoyance and tedium from the event arc. Sadly, they would still be grinds.

Act I – Town Loyalty
  • Remove Loyalty Decay (Unnecessarily punitive)
  • Increase the spawn rate Angry Rioters x4 (Three per city isn’t enough on more populated shards)
    • Increase arrested rioter movement speed (they are way too slow currently)
  • Increase the point value of putting out fires and picking up trash (increasing the overall point values would be even better)
  • Increase the frequency of raiders
    • Reduce raider HP
    • Reduce raider movement speed
    • Move spawn locations to town peripheries, raiders should never spawn near New Player entry points or banks
  • Give a random (but statistically possible) chance for a point generating act to give significantly more points than normal
  • Add in city-specific character titles with banner purchase (banners are near meaningless unless someone else sees them)
  • Consider removing negative point accruement for helping multiple cities (as this completely goes against the Virtues of Ultima)
Act II – Ilshenar
  • Ensure that one normal ‘Purifying Blood Elemental’ always spawns (Two Paragons can bring this part to a halt)
  • Increase the exposition from the keyword NPCs, ensure that important keywords are given more emphasis
  • Put some gold on the grave diggers as their loot (aside from heirlooms) is less than worthless
  • Reduce the grave digger damage reflect somewhat to ensure melee templates aren’t unfairly penalized
  • Once a character achieves 5,001 Jukan loyalty (Ally) the Juka should no longer attack them
    • The Juka should attack the grave robbers standing in their midst
  • Remove enslaved gargoyles from the ruins
  • Add sounds to the Meer and Jukan statues (they are not worth the points required)
These events should be fun and accessible to multiple play styles, not just a twinked out mystic or a tamer.

I totally agree! As things are I'm less and less inclined to participate.

I'm sorry but for one little banner doing all that grinding just doesn't have much appeal.

And the robbers... I can't even participate with my main archer.... 2 hits will kill me. And doing it on my Mage/Spellweaving/Mystic which means lure, invis, RC, wait, RC, Wait, RC, Wait, WOD, Rinse and repeat.... boring... and for what? A statue or two that don't do anything.... *sighs*

Agree with everything but not sure why removing enslaved gargs is necessary? They're at Mistas, aren't they?

Enslaved gargs should work like hell hounds did for the bane ;p.

Very good suggestion, I agree on all the points. After doing the graver twice I gave up and I don't think it worth anything. The developer thinks we're those addicted kids who sits in front of the computer playing an online game forever? come on, I have lots of other more interesting things to do in my life

I'd approach that one slightly differently - have a range of grave robber types, some that reflect damage, some that stun/payalyse pets, some that reflect bard effects, some that reflect spells - and have them fairly easy to identify, so anyone can find a type their character can handle. Still keep them fairly tough, so it's a challenge to fight them, but tune what they can do to the different ways players handle them.

All these changes would certainly change my enjoyment from 'none'. I hope they listen.

I would like them to add some unique artifacts that better our suits. If there is only a deco reward, I'm still going to choose other in-game activities than grinding town loyalty. I'd rather champ, fight a peerless or go after a SA boss. At least then there is a chance of getting a reward that will make my characters better. I'm personally not into decorating my house nor building collections of items that are not suit/weapon related.

I know you are not alone in that thought... I personally love collecting and deco.... but I'm not going to do it at the expense of "fun"... and I'm not going to do something that I find extremely tedious. Sadly most of my friends have such limited time to spend in-game that they feel it's pointless to pursue most of this.... by the time they start gaining up any significant loyalty they have to quit and it's pretty well all decayed before they can get back at it.... so they figure why even bother.

Per the Pub 75 notes Act III or IV will allow us to collect our own heirlooms. If they are the same as the current heirlooms, we should get a staff, a bow, and two pieces of armor. Whether they are artifact quality of not remains to be seen.

They'll add some gear, but it will be the same sort of "carefully designed to not actually be any good" crap we always get. You know, some sword with no leeches and 2% of some Stygian Abyss stat nobody cares about.

And doubly worthless, if that's possible, to the folks who are barred from buying the SA expansion because of where they live.

Do you think they'll be equippable? Or, if I should rephrase, were the quest item heirlooms non-equippable because they were quest items? I wonder.

I think it'll be interesting to see what they did with this
antiquity fragments... assemble the pieces into...
I take it as we can turn in for points, or (unknown) if could alternately turn them in to our chosen city, Or keep them for ourselves. Guessing they'll be of the Honesty Virtue caliber with some 'needle in a haystack' rare ones mixed in, plus while great looking, possibly some pure Deco ones as well.

The fragments come from sifting, which is the next part of the event. From the spoliler text, I think we sift to get fragments, then put them together like turkey map fragments to get a whole heirloom. Whether the heirlooms are the similar to what you can get from grave robbers is unknown, but it has been stated that we will get to keep them.
