Not to resurrect an old thread from the dead but, thought I would update with a current Taming/Spellweaving template I run with. Especially since the new items available since 2020 (Example being Veilkeepr's Branch which adds +20 to med, etc). Posting skill versus "real skill" along with stats. The SDI is base SDI without casting anything such as reaper form, etc.

I have a high SDI suit that I run with 120s in Taming / Lore / Magery / Eval / Medation / Vet or SW. Without a spell book, the suit has a base 150 SDI (200 with a 50% spellbook). I listed the items in this suit here: Vortha's Medallion.

However, a couple of the new items have made putting together high skill templates more viable. For instance, I have a suit with 136 SDI with the following skills:

120 Lore
120 Taming
120 Eval
120 Mediation
120 Focus
110 Magery
120 Vet or SW or Mysticism

I also use this suit for my disco template:

120 Taming
120 Lore
120 Music
120 Disco
120 Eval
110 Magery
100 Med

Losing 14 SDI isn’t a massive issue considering the skill flexibility gained, though I am capped at 2/6 (which isn’t a huge deal because I always run protection). I also don’t have max fire resist in reaper form with this suit unlike the previous, so I don’t really use it with this suit. The primary stat boosting items I use are the Crystalline ring, an imbued bracelet with +30 skills, the wizard’s curio, the new branch, and the +10 med from the Shadow Reaver’s cloak.
