ehehehehehe... sucks to be those that paid hundreds of thousands of gold for them...great for those that benefited from a game glitch... as usual =P

Now when do we get a fix to all the Scripters in PvP and tile jumpers? Now that's an EYE SORE.

With any luck, Draconi got a new box of matches in his Christmas stocking. Or a few mines to toss in front of offending players and make 'em go *poof*.

I think we really should start the new year with a few bonfires, I hear cheats are quite combustible...

I guess I haven't been around enough in game lately to see these, but I am sure they wouldn't be pleasing to my eyes, so thank you.

Now can you shed any light on the 11th anniversary items for all of us who aren't in Japan? Sorry just had to ask.

I don't like neon.

However, I regret very much that you found it necessary to spend time and resources making this change when there's other things that appear to be of more importance.

Having said that, I still appreciate the notice (though I have no swampies at all, let alone neon ones, and in fact hate all swampies).

Communication is good, even when folks like me disagree with what you're saying or doing.

Welcome back to the boards, D.

Thanks for making the announcment a week after it happened. God knows no one spent money on buying dyed pieces.

This is just a little bit extreme don't you think? Some people decided to indulge in a little frivolous decoration that wasn't harming in any way to anyone and you want to burn their houses and characters to the ground?

Talk about a witch hunt.....

Intended or not Sir, it was a fun thing for some players to do.

Plus no one on your side bothered to post this information on the patch screen.
It is remotely possible some players paid for the swamp dragon already Tokuno barded or for the deed. Now they get iron. :(

If anyone replies that these buyers should have known better, do not try. UO has been full of odd happenings that were never stopped nor changed. Why should this time be any different?

So, maybe next time something does not suit your side, post about in a timely manner? Please?

I have no Tokuno bard deeds nor swampys. So, no iron for me. :) Oh ya, some really looked pretty, hey, they did. :(

I wasn't referring to the swampie dyers, but replying to another poster's suggestion about tackling other cheating in game.

Though I'm sure there will be a witch hunt against the players who made millions selling dyed swampies, but I'm not involved in that in any way. I tried to warn players not to make or buy these items, but it sure didn't go down well. Now those disgruntled customers might have some choice words for the players who sold them deeds. I'm having nothing to do with it :)

They run the game, didn't help they were on vacation.

As a side note, another dev stated (while on vacation!) that this neon barding was unintended.

This should probably be posted on the UO Herald. Not everyone reads Stratics forums and we are not supposed to link to it in game.

And, no I did not make or purchase any swamp dragon armor. I don't even have a swamp dragon for any of my characters.

Safe journeys!

Thank you for adding this to UO Herald.

I might be naive, but I thought this colored barding deed was intended as a result of the new slime. What's so bad about a colored dragon?
Why not make it that the 20% damage absorption gets nerfed if it's dyed or something?
Wouldn't this be an additional way to get use out of the Tokuno pigments?

Draconi, nice to see you back and answering questions :)

Now, get your grenades out, there are a number of cheaters that require your own special brand of attention :D

What about dragon barding deeds that are dyed by slimes? Will those also be reverted back? Draconi did say "with the Dyes of Tokuno". I hope not because the dark blue looks awesome on my swampie. IMO :)

Too bad for a moment there I thought Uo was having a change of heart and decided to let people have more fun especially since armor is destroyed easily if used. Oh well back to the the iron-val colors. Let me turn on my black and white tv to watch some honeymooners this color television always hurts my eyes.

Draconi answered this question in another thread located here.

Sounds like the slime dyed will also go.

There are MANY other issues that could use attention that DO affect the Game.

It has been over a week since this came out. Once again unsuspecting, honest players have rpobably paid some dishonest player thru the nose for a deed or dragon or two. I saw them over the millions at the start.

How about over 190 HPs ?? surley this also is not intended but there are players out there with that many.

How about a small trapped box being used to totally negate the paralyze spell? Surley it wasn't intended that if you prick your finger while paralyzed that you are suddenly free?

How about the replicas with over 150 Durability?

Sorry I had a nice vacation and now get lemon peals squeezed in my eyes :(

Replicas over 150: Most Likely, the 155 was a typo, and 255 was meant. Give it a rest.

Draconi, what will happen to other types of crafter deeds - example beds, water troughs, arcane cirices? House decorators love to use the tokuno dyes on various deeds. Are they safe or will they be impacted too? :(

Actually there's more to it than the 255/255 durability, as mine with such durability cannot be dyed. So "give it a rest" is rude and unnecessary in this instance.

You mean the Tokuno pigments that should be available to everyone in ALL colors? The Tokuno pigments that are consumables and can't be replenished because a few people think they can dictate what others wear and deco with?

*sorry to use your post as an example, but the whole anti ToT1 dyes really gets to me*

I have to agree. I don't see why some people have to dictate how others look. Everyone pays to play, don't they?

As for all those that bought the colored swampys, I feel sorry for them. What a waste of money. I kind of figured it wasn't allowed, but it should have been stated on the official website, not just here. Like others have said, beds and other things were dyed. How is anyone to know for sure if it is not on the website?

Way to jump all over this game stopping issue. It gave me something to laugh about at least, while I sit here and download over a gig of KR patches, only to be disappointed again when I try to log in and KR Lag to holy he77 and back...

I tried and tried to run KR. Even with the endless hours of patching on dialup last year. I tried this year when I got a faster connection. I finally solved the problem. I deleted KR from my computer. :D

I'm guessing this was fixed sooner because it was way more visible and noticed. Things that need more attention like scripting and game balance issues are more invisible to some people. Fixing something glaringly obvious would please more people than hidden things that are actually hurting the game. Unfortunately.

Since this is a signal that many people would like more coloring options with their swampies, why not cook something up? Doesn't have to be neon that so many people hate. But something.

Also, I remember reading something somewhere saying that lots of old vets and UO Powers That Be hate the idea of a colored pet option. Maybe this is why it gets attention sooner? Dunno.

I dont think they will be impacted. Im pretty sure you are supposed to be able to dye that stuff with tok dyes. I think that you were able to do that way before you could do the swampy thing.

They may not intend to do it, but possibly dyed deeds could be affected anyways. And we all know what a high priority fixing accidental broken deco is, especially if it was never intended to be a certain way to begin with. If they fix swamp deeds and in doing so it accidentally ends up fixing all deeds I doubt it will ever get changed back. Which would make me really, really, really sad. :(

Actually I'm guessing this is fixed sooner because it's a two minute, easy to do fix.

Sometimes the criteria for fixing stuff isn't how important it is, but how easy it is to accomplish. Or don't any of you have situations like that in your own jobs? Where stuff, though important, has to wait till you have enough time available, but something minor gets fixed because it takes virtually no time at all?

If they are gonna take the color off the swamp dragons then they should take it off the shrouds as well.

Exactly, hacks and scripts would take months of research coding and testing to implement changes. A colour change (not that im computer literate to that extent) surely would just take a slight change of code.

Get of there backs jeez they've only just come back from holiday!

Is christmas spirit that fickle january comes around and its gone??
