I wanted to get some feedback from anyone who wants to voice an opinion about good places on Siege to show new players. If someone new to Siege joins NEW and is amenable to being dragged around the shard for 20 to 30 minutes, I usually show them the following places:
Am I missing any areas of the shard that are truly unique to Siege and would be helpful for a new player to know about--places they might not stumble across on their own or that they'll hear people talk about in general chat but be reluctant to ask publicly for directions? I will add the Iantown pub to the tour as well, but are there other pubs or similar locations that could use some free publicity with new players? I don't want to make the "tour" take too long, but I enjoy showing people that Siege is not the dead quiet shard that so many seem to think it is!
Also, perhaps as an alternative to showing people even more places, is there something I can mention about general areas where certain guilds or alliances have a group of houses all in one location? I'm still fuzzy on some of this information and it seems like some of the information I once read along these lines has become out of date because of certain guilds no longer being active on Siege.
Thanks for any suggestions you might have!
- The NEW training house (I believe it's referred to as "The Boondocks")
- The Umbra hub house
- Player-run shops in New Magincia (as many as someone has the patience to see)
- Player-run shops around Zento (ditto on the patience part)
- Shops around the Britain moongate
- Shops around the Yew moongate
- The green moongate to Serpent's Hold from the Brit councilor's hall and the blackish moongate north of the Britain bank
- The Moonglow shop accessed from the Umbra hub
- The Dagger Isle house accessed from the Umbra hub
- Raptor's public island pub (just added this today)
- Smurfy's Barter Town shop (just added today also)
- Guardian's vendors in Luna (also added this stop today)
