I call it power up.

first the bug that should be fixed.
If more then 5 people are on the Arcane Circle some people do not get the focus.

fix power ups:
1. When a group casts a focus an equal number of focus crystals should go into a clicky container (some call a vending machine) near the bank so people that just missed it can get still get one. Of course griefers will be able to get at them but if you only allow one per character this should limit griefers. When the power up is refreshed so does the ones in the clicky container.

This would be good for non-skilled power ups as well. It does change the dynamic a little but the benefits out weight the down side. Or add another clicky container for non-skilled.

2. I suggest power ups lasting a week rather then nearly a half a day. This would be helpful for quieter shards.

3. When casting a focus the power level can never go lower then what is in your bag. This should apply to the clicky container as well. If you want a lower power level with more time you throw the one in your bag on the ground (delete it).

4. The Arcane Circle shouldn't be in invasion towns. One person should be able to bring multiple characters without getting them all killed. I suggest all Arcane circles should be next to a bank and moongate for one stop actions. don't forget fel. Suggest putting this in heaven and Ocllo. Of course Ocllo would need a gate
Ocllo power up I suggest for stamina blocking to add a teleport from the bank to the center of the Arcane circle.

I have other ideas but this should work fine

Put up a circle in your house and log on all the account characters you have in safety. Invasions don't happen in brit AND mag at the same time.

No clicky container. Apprentice and GMed Weaver NPCs that can be hired to stand in the circle. No need to cast insults in chat trying to guilt another player to show up for 30 minutes to hit a 6. And that dirty word "goldsink". Easier just move the crystal circle under Nujelm to the below ground enterance. One weaver can get a level 4 off of it. If can only get few weavers to show at Brit, then go to Nugelm for a six. If the other two are broke. Hell I'd pay 30k for the three of us to have a level 6 for half the day.

No need to fix a bug. Everyone waits a few seconds and looks at their journal. No one misses out, THEN leave. If your logging on 5 accounts and still compaining - seek professional help.

I definitely agree that something needs to be done to make a focus more attainable. Playing a slow shard during off peak hours can make it almost impossible to get a focus.

I really like the idea that a focus would not lose power. That would let weavers who already have a level 6 help someone get a lower level focus if there aren't enough for another 6. However this still relies on getting other folks.

Stopping the decay when you log out seems limited in functionality because it still relies on getting the focus when it works for other people.

Personally I would like to see an alternative method to gaining a focus, a small quest or something. Drop a quest giver in a few towns (heartwood, magincia, Britain) that rewards you with a focus crystal for slaying monsters or something... Maybe 1 level focus for each demon or dragon or lich...

I like the idea of getting others to power up. It forces everyone working together at least a little.

This is a multi player game

I wouldn't mind if at least a focus wouldn't decay when you log out,like a alacrity scroll
That isn't a bad idea. Still would need to add the power level of the crystal can never go lower then what is in your bag.

That really makes it difficult for others to come.

I still think the only level 6 should be available at the bottom of the Shimmering Effusion caves.

That would only work if they fix it. Fix so a weaver can help a circle of lesser number players and have an option window pop up. A window asking if I wish to replace my current lvl 6 with a lvl 4.

The current decay timer is just right. Any longer would just make it harder for other circles. Not everyones gaming prime time is the same time of the day. Why a half day is just right.

Focus is already way too powerful for what it takes to obtain.

It is already a crutch. No need to make it worse

What you are saying is that Spell weaving should be nurfed.
That doesn't mean the mechanics of getting people together to get a power up doesn't need work.

You're talking about a different issue.

No, an SDI suit isn't the answer either as the best SDI suits cripple your resists. Most mages also don't have a full set of slayer scrappers either.

The fact that 1 SW with 40 skill can wreck a grinder shows how much SW needs fixed.
