Heck yesterday I ran into a dude who was from baja ,looking to recruit some mages and I'm thinking to myself "man did this guy choose the wrong shard". To make a long story short I told the guy the most talented mages have left the shard and all you will find here are guys using bush,ninja mages running 5+ deep.

Anyways you and any others who have jumped shards should come back and visit at least. Sunday Nights are pretty exciting over here.

Trust me there will be more fights if you guys wish it cuz i marked a rune so i can check from time to time.

Keep up the attemps you make. I have respect that your guilded didnt leave sooner when ther were getting dropped alot even though they out numbered us 4 to 1 easyly. Practice makes perfect. Keep up the practice and keep trying to learn. dont get discouraged. It takes time but if you keep with it you all will get better.

It's 3f Lefty.... If you can gain a limited advantage by putting something in your pack then they are doing it. I know for a fact A doesn't run lrc, and there's at least 2 others that always have regs when I kill em. A theif would be mostly for the nights when 8 3f log at 2 am and if they are going to gimp out to the tune of having to carry regs then might as well make em pay for it. Same goes for any of the bush, necro, ninjit vamp form dexxy's.... ANDY anyone ? etc etc etc. If your all ITEM in pvp and you run outta room in your pack from soooo many pots, then a borred theif might actually be annoying heh.

Actually you couldn't be more wrong. The top mage duelists on the west (arguably in game) are on this shard now. Zhuang Foo is here, and Kyrite recently xferred here. Most of our guild is actually comprised of mage duelists.

Si, I am never wrong. That has yet to be proven to me before they get my seal of approval and on Sonoma that what counts is getting props from the old timers here, not what you say is, or others say on other shards and believe me my views are based on habits over time.

If you or anyone else want props from me, then we will just have to have a tournament. My rules though.

Your seal of approval? Why? You aren't a good mage, period. Old timer? I've been playing this game since beta, and I played sonoma for years when the shard first opened.

Find me a mage who can beat Zhuang, Kyrite, Deaths Betrayel, Snow, Mig or myself on this shard in a pure mage duel and i'll give you 20mil.

Find me a mage on any shard who can beat Zhuang, and i'll give you 20mil.

I really dont know who decided to camp OSG Prime. I really guess you guys are bored. I'm sure there is plenty of waka and Tek to kill. But if u guys wish to field our house sobeit. Kinda sad tho cuz I had really good talks with miss B yesterday and hmmm well, kinda ruined it. lol. Only reason I'm replying to this is because somewhere i feel you being somewhat sincere because you felt the sting a few times once the soldiers got let loose. Actually last night I know that Waka had only a couple of peeps on from around 7-930 cst. I was one of them. I was dueling around with nox on dexers. I think he said there was about 5 or 6 tek on. Last night was just dead IMHO. Owe well. Ill be on next couple days as GF working 2-10s. Ill see what kind of trouble i can get into.

LOL..yah that was fun. No one would ever get on at the same time..we would have 4 or 5 on then one would log and another would come on ect. Just couldnt get a good group to pop mr harry. But be on the look out the next few days sonoma..when we have the right numbers we will pop. We dont want scrolls honestly. We just want a BIG fight! Vexxed, it's very simple . . . PURE MAGE means just that . . . PURE MAGERY. Every mage duelist knows the standard rules: no forms of any kind, no orange petals, no pots, no chiv, no specs, just straight up magery. There is also no poisoning allowed on your template, because you can cast DP on the person and he/she can fail to cure it, and therefore it takes no skill to kill someone with poisoning in a pure mage duel. As far as suits go, you can use whatever you want, but if you're using a max hit point increase/hit point regen suit, you'll just be looked down upon, or looked at as a joke. Mage duelists also know that weapons with hit spell, or say, a kryss with 30 ssi, or maxing out your HCI is not allowed. Usually wep mages just disarm their weps. If they have wrestle, they use a boomstick or something. It's really unnecessary to explain, as all mage duelists know these rules already. As far as the +MR and all that, it really doesn't matter, as long as you have about 6 MR 40 LMC, then the difference is really miniscule. +MR doesn't make you a better duelist. It doesn't give you a better defense or better cycling abilities, which is what it ultimately comes down to in the end.

and what EXACTLY do you consider "maxing out" your HCI.. is Maxed out more than 30 hci ??? more than 40 hci ???

This is why I never liked the mage duel thing, because unless EVERYTHING is EXACTLY the same someone has an advantage and it's not solely based on skill.

So far what comes to mind is a max hp / hp regen suit on a scribe weaponskill mage, and just use weapon to interupt..... The point is winning and thus proving your the best isn't it ? who cares if they "frown upon it" .. if you just beat zuang aren't you good ???? lol you get the point yet ? This game doesn't lend itself to measuring skill very well. There are WAY to many variables and differences etc....

heh.. you never said you couldn't use WANDS either... uninteruptable G heals might be nice in a duel, or maybe protection though I admit probably not but.....

Hell... might as well just carry regs too, and then a gimp suit gets alot easier.... This is why this whole... "Zuang is the best blah blah blah makes me chuckle".... I could use 20mil. Thing is I said my rules, which consists of the following.

1. Non Scrolled Wresle Scribe Mage
2. No Property enhancements Meaning no LRC,LMC,Mana Regen,SDI or anything beneficial
3. Plain Jane 70 resist armor.
4. Plain jane 1/3 bracelet &amp; Ring
5. No Pots of any kind
6. And a current dxdiag report

And I'm sure I can get an EA rep to snoop out cheaters.

That gives a fair advantage overall where skill would show and not scrolls or items. So if anybody even thinks about cheating with items or 3rd party programs they should not even step up.

vexxed . . . you will never truly understand pure mage dueling until you try it. don't make excuses for why you don't play a mage, etc. the whole maxed out HCI thing really doesn't matter much. the only thing i could see making a big difference is using a weapon with hit fireball or hit magic arrow on it. people don't use those items out of respect, but those who do still lose to players like zhuang. he duels with 11 hci, 20 dci and still wins everytime. item-based? please. statistics show otherwise. and if you really want to make it fair, just have two wep mages disarm their damn weps. is that so hard to understand?? if it's a wrestle mage, throw on a boomstick. simple. common sense.
and about wands . . . once again, i said PURE MAGERY. that means NO ITEMS. no pots, nothing but mage spells . . . clear?

lol your talking to a 9 year pvp vet who has been playing on Sonoma since the first day it was created. I was pvping back when Heavy Vanq Xbows were the [censored] and hiding didn't require a line of sight check. I was pvping when Halley mages were the way to go. I've been pvping for as long as there's been pvpers lol. I know exactly what I'm talking about and that's exactly why I chuckle at it.

Answer me this....

1) If EVERYTHING is not EXACTLY the same does one person have an advantage?

blah blah blah... yes we can get a relative measure of skill with a simple duel, but I don't do relative. If I do something I go all the way, and unfortunately making a dueling mage has never really appealed. If you didn't design and build the character for a specific purpose then it can generally be improved on when used for that purpose.... Dueling has pretty much always been a pointless measure for me. I much rather simply skp to the " I can whoop you 1 on 1" and not have to worry about all rules.....

PS:... yes yes we all heard you.. FOO is the best and has the best duelers that EVERY existed.... blah blah blah... does anyone else care ?

Timmy is blatantly LYING. I saw them duel and so did Toymachyne. Si Foo won 3:0. Not ONCE did Timmy beat Si Foo. Don't believe me? Ask Timmy to provide ONE SINGLE SCREENSHOT of his victory against Si Foo. I GUARANTEE you he won't have ONE. I'll put 40 mill that Si Foo can take Timmy best of 5.

And if you want to talk about not dueling in a while, Deaths Betrayal plays like once a month. LOL. And when he does play, it's only for like an hour. So an hour per month lol.

IMO timmy is the only good mage on sonoma outside of FOO/TeK, besides kyrite. Kal Vas Flam is junk and should stay on his tamer. timmy can beat me (zhongwen)in duels, but im nothing special with an 11 sdi non scrolled junk spawner character. and regarding white wolf vs timmy, timmy had scribe/120 eval/max sdi and couldent touch white, while white had him redlined several times with 115 eval and no scribe. if white had scribe, those would have been quick 5 second duels.

Something that I found funny... For how GREAT a mage dueler you keep telling us Zuang is etc etc etc, all I ever really see from him are 2 things....

1) prep FS, NERVE, FS mix in hyrui...

B) each person gets 150 to 200 of each reg (if you cant do it with that then die chump)

E)empty pack except regs and spell book (theif can check) or EA hehe
F)and NAKED NO GEAR !!!!! I MEAN IT
g)and if you disrupt using wres you get your a$$ ganked

the difference between zheung and all the other gimplates with magery and eval on it is he can actually play a mage pure. most everybody else like 3F are complete 100% helpless headless no skill newbie zerglings under their bokuto/ninja mage templates with 10000 pots and apples. and the fact that 3F mages can kill absolutely anything is testement that feild pvp is 90% template and equiment, given how absolutely horrible 3F mages are.

Dueling like you used to? We saw you duel the first time we were on this shard and you were absolutely terrible, Timmy was the only one who was any good. By 'any foo mage' do you mean Zhuang? Because if I remember correctly, he beat you 5-0 with NO POISON and killed you with Flamestrikes and Meteor swarms. Sorry, but I don't think you'll ever pass the level of Zhuang needing to use poison on you..

Second, who did you wax in foo in duels? Please come duel myself, db, or ww son and we can post screen shots of the outcome. Thanks.

white on his junk spawner. those duels would have taken seconds if he had scribe. kal, you can practice your dueling everyday for a year and still not be anywhere near zheungs level. and as for 3f not being up to par because of ping, youre joking. they are TERRIBLE as mages. they can use their nerve strike/death strike/hyruu/bola/pots/apples crap semi decent on the feild, but so can my left testicle. under it all, they cant play a mage worth squat.

Hell, i'll pure mage duel Zhuang, not saying i'll win, but even if i lose i'll walk away with experience, naked regs, nothing else, just magery med and eval, just like the old days. he's good, but there is always someone better.

Wow, that is absolute crap. WW was on the defensive for 95% of that fight. All he did was miniheal and turtle defensively. I would hardly call that skillful. The fight wouldn't have lasted 5 seconds if WW had scribe because it would have been the same type of [censored]. He was on offense for like 5% of the fight. It was one of the lamest things I have ever seen evar. I think that WW stopped the fight was testament to that. WW may have a good healing defense, but yeesh he couldn't turn it around to offense for anything. If he had actually done any decent amount of offense the match would have been over quickly simply because he wouldn't have been healing the whole time and would have died.

how do you do the DX Diag thing? zhuang will surely duel anyone using this DX Diag to prove his legitimacy, if you inform us of how to utilize it. we all know that the only program he uses is UOAssist. also, try paging a gm before the duel so he can check to see if zhuang is running anything during the duels. and then you can stop crying about our "hax."

Props to FOO. I have had a few run arounds with them now (on my terms

) and frankly, I'm not surprised to see some of the old fat fish in the Sonoma pond are getting their ego's bruised.

The new blood always makes for fun fights, but it never fails: instead of getting out there and having fun, everybody is here trying to rack up forum kills.

I didn't signify anyone in particular about using any hax, but that is a deterent for anyone thinking of using one.

To do a dxdiag - Hit Start, then Run and type in dxdiag. That will list what programs running or not on their PC.

My dueling style, I usually let my opponent attack first and wait for them to get low on mana. Unfortunately for me, timmy never got close to running out with his suit. I admit that my defense is much better than my offensive, but turbo timmy isn't anything impressive wise compared to the other shards i've been to.

I have a screeshot of a certain someone with a certain "no no" that speeds you up amoung other icons on the desktop, but I've posted it 2x and it's been removed 2x. I removed all the names from it last time, but have no idea why it was removed after that..... How censored does it have to be to fly? If I just removed every word and just left the picures / icons would that be enough ?

A few minutes ago, my char was speedhacked by chars of FOO at the brit Gate Fel. Paged a GM, reply, plz capture the image of the offense with the offending character clearly visible. How can a screen shot prove anything? Unbelievable!
