Rob,
I have laid off this forum for the most part for several months and also laid off the game for over a week now. I saw a reference to this thread today while checking the Stonehaven forum and decided to come over here. I have not yet decided whether I will go back in game anytime soon.
I commend you for your comments here. I have long wondered why people who play in the same cyber-sandbox have to be so mean to each other. There are many people I consider friends on Siege, only one of whom I have actually met. Some of them are in KOC, some are in TNT / MYTH. What they have in common is that they take the human side of this interaction seriously, often keeping up with events in each other’s real lives and they generally consider the game itself insignificant. I stay with this game mostly because of them, not because it remains fun.
Hopefully, we can take your message into the game as well. We are now to a point where the larger group chases the smaller group inside and then complains about the fact that there is no one to play with. I suggest both sides make concerted efforts to avoid this play-style (we are all equally guilty for creating it) and return to more civil game play. Otherwise I fear there will be noone left soon.
Regards,
Tim
