I'm sorry but aside from the first reply, no one was ridiculing you. Instead we were telling you to remeber it on your own. If suggestions of how to work around it is your idea of ridicule I'm sure we can readily apologize for trying to give ideas.I am well within the rules. houses do not fall for 90 days. you want to ridicule me for playing by the rules? frankly, go F yourselves.
trolls like the 3 of you is why this game has gone down the tubes. you all have a bad attitude and it is dispiriting.
furthermore, there is simply no disputing the fact that the old account management system was simpler and more informative. if you want to be apologists, go right ahead. doesn't change the fact that they removed features and made it more complicated for people who have been playing this game for 10+ years.
Uhh, doesnt sound like you "have been playing this game for 10+ years" to me.I am well within the rules. houses do not fall for 90 days. you want to ridicule me for playing by the rules? frankly, go F yourselves.

LOL. I did not troll you. Go ahead and say I did. You are mad because you dont know and it's EA fault.again: the old website had the information FOR YEARS.
I ask why it isn't there anymore and I get ATTACKED and scolded for not writing it down, when I had no reason to believe it wouldn't be there in the first place.
it speaks volumes about the character of everyone who has replied to this thread.
one word: APOLOGISTS
a·pol·o·gist/əˈpäləjist/
Noun:
A person who offers an argument in defense of something controversial.
with that, I bid you riddance
Under your master account make sure the proper account is selected under your pull-down menu.Over the weekend something has happened to my account. Ive had an email which said my subscription was up (even tho i paid for 6 months 3 - 4 months ago) so i logged into my master account and there is no information there. I migrated my accounts as EA requested and theres just no informationi its all blank.
Any ideas?
So because I have 10 accounts and 10 houses (7 active, 3 non) I am manipulating the game and dont deserve my housing spots?Uhh, doesnt sound like you "have been playing this game for 10+ years" to me.
Sounds like you have been manipulating this game for 10+ years, no offense.
People actually "playing" the game have active subs.
And no matter what the "rules" may be these paying players deserve the best house spots IMO.
This thread isn't about you, its about someone else who from the sound of it doesn't even have any active accounts, just one or two that they don't play.So because I have 10 accounts and 10 houses (7 active, 3 non) I am manipulating the game and dont deserve my housing spots?
Well no, but if you should lose a house on an account you aren't paying for or playing due to your lack of forethought while abusing a system never meant to be used to keep a house up while not paying for it 3/4 of the time, then no. You did not deserve that house spot.So because I have 10 accounts and 10 houses (7 active, 3 non) I am manipulating the game and dont deserve my housing spots?
No, credit card statements don't tell you when it when inactive, but it tells you when it went active. Add one month to that and there ya go. That coupled with the emails you get when it closes helps too. But you know if you were just looking for a rant you could have just said so rather than getting pissed off at every person replying, be it a nice reply or not. And honestly, the only person killing off community here is you. You have some helpful replies here and you ignore them only to insult good intentions.4. a credit card or bank statement does not indicate the date the account went inactive, as some of you have suggested. it only indicates the date EA billed me. the reason this is important is because just this year we were granted free gametime due to the migration, thus there is no way to know the exact date except by noting the date previous to the account going inactive, (I assumed it would still be available information AFTER, again, no reason not to believe this) or by calling EA. (which I will do)
so, naturally given all of these facts I was caught off guard by what happened and I feel I have a legitimate grievance. just because all of you want to change the subject to whether I actually play the game w/ this account does not change any of these facts. many people maintain accounts to hold houses and do not play characters on the accounts.
so, thanks for nothin' and good luck in your efforts to kill off what little there is left of the UO community.
Yes. The "free time" was only about one week. Being off by a week wont kill you. If I pay for one month today, the 19th, my credit statement says it was payed on the 19th. Add 30 days and there, my deactivation date. As in the past I also get emails of when my account went inactive. If you care about your houses so much ignoring the free time from the equation wont kill you.ok, as I described above, that is not the case.
Doesn't sound right. When I chose to shut down one account a while ago (after migration) I didn't loose the remaining time and I wasn't prompted for anything. In fact it DOESN'T give you the option to shut down the account while forfeiting your time. It automatically ends at at the end of the billing cycle without asking you.Quite honestly the new billing has me in a frazzle, I cant figure the bloody thing out as for when i can turn off any account. My son said he wanted to shut off a spare we use and it gave him the info that the account will automaticly loose all time left and no refund bla bla bla.
Now you tell me if this stupid system is better? Old system I could see when i needed to turn off or on an account, the date of original activation, the publishes i have added, and it would give me a choice of to end now or end at end of billing.
Look Papa K; I think it boils down to this: People who play regularly don't seem to have much sympathy for those who pay every couple of months to take up valuable space on the server. The system is in place, so I don't see how it can be knocked, but I believe it has something to do with the 'spirit' of the system, not the actual execution.ok, as I described above, that is not the case.
again, no.
in fact, they haven't turned off house decay yet. as I said above, I didn't realize that at the time, making this entire discussion moot.
Seriously you are wrong or your son is wrong. You pay for a 30 day billing cycle. Once you remove the billing, say if you paid today for the account it is good for the full 30 days. You can play on the account or not if you wish. They have to close the account when the full 30 days is off.Quite honestly the new billing has me in a frazzle, I cant figure the bloody thing out as for when i can turn off any account.
The new system - fustration in use that makes one not wish to use it. If I who can be called a die hard uo player am ready to call it quits I can yet imagine the not so dedicated players with this. They wont need to restart the decay... if they do I am seriously thinking you will see the mass exodus that has happened even on Atlantic. I am expecting big gaps even there if it does. Alot of you are going huray! but come on. If that many houses fall .... now do you get the drift? We were bad off before the management changes, after will be more depressing.
No, it doesn't. All I said was credit card statements show when you activated and all you had to do is add 30 days if paying for one month can tell you when it went inactive and if a few weeks of gametime might throw that off it won't kill you if you care about your houses. Maybe you need to cool it and stop reading every single post as an insult. It seems to me your confusing simple comments as ridicule.no, it won't kill me, but it sure as hell makes you wrong.
Lol, stop it! I just had to look again just to see that.I share that sentiment
Sorry? Not sure what you wanted out of this thread since you took offense to every single post here, helpful and not helpful posts alike. Were you just looking for people to agree and flame against the new account system with you?all of you have major problems, including the moderator that just "Warned" me for saying "F"
goodbye.
maybe you should change your mood from lurking to trolling.Sorry? Not sure what you wanted out of this thread since you took offense to every single post here, helpful and not helpful posts alike. Were you just looking for people to agree and flame against the new account system with you?
Lol, thank you for proving my point. Good luck with the new system.maybe you should change your mood from lurking to trolling.
2 accounts 1 house. (officially) I have a lot of bugged ones but that's not my fault now is it?so how many accts (houses) do you have?
proving what point? I fail to recognize that you've had one this whole time. you've done nothing but troll.Lol, thank you for proving my point. Good luck with the new system.
