That's why I once again stand by my point that it's a waste of time to ever bother with people who run "auctions". All it is, is another method of standing at brit bank screaming "MAKE AN OFFER I CAN'T REFUSE". Why? Because
#1. they don't know what the item is worth.
#2. they know what the item is worth and what they want for it but are hoping someone will overbid and pay them more.
#3 They want people to get into ego bid wars and end up spending a fortune.
Sure this is purely their choice and for some reason everyone on the forum still supports "auctions" by sending in bids and interest. I've long made my stance that if any player wants to sell me something, they better damn well have a price tag on it or they can stop wasting my time.
When you choose to partake in random players' "auctions" you run that risk of getting shafted by having any of the following happen:
"anonymous bidders"
fake bid-ups
prolonged auctions due to low current bids
Random cancellations of auctions after a few days
Buyer's have "RL emergencies" and disappear forever.
Bids at the last minute where bids on time are magically negated because a late bid happened to be offering more.

Wow I agree with all of this, and its exactly why I won't bid on some auctions. I guess I should take my auction down. I wish eBay were still around. What am I to do? I wanted everyone to have a hand in contributing to the museum which is one of the other reasons I am having an auction. I rarely sell my items, and would only do it for this purpose. However I understand how it is difficult to trust people. Such is the risk I suffer every day of this game among other areas of my life.
