Yeah that is kind of ridiculous. I'm sure there are a few of us who would've out bid them and were just waiting to see what the prices would be.

Oh well your loss. Saves me some money ;p

That's why I once again stand by my point that it's a waste of time to ever bother with people who run "auctions". All it is, is another method of standing at brit bank screaming "MAKE AN OFFER I CAN'T REFUSE". Why? Because
#1. they don't know what the item is worth.
#2. they know what the item is worth and what they want for it but are hoping someone will overbid and pay them more.
#3 They want people to get into ego bid wars and end up spending a fortune.

Sure this is purely their choice and for some reason everyone on the forum still supports "auctions" by sending in bids and interest. I've long made my stance that if any player wants to sell me something, they better damn well have a price tag on it or they can stop wasting my time.

When you choose to partake in random players' "auctions" you run that risk of getting shafted by having any of the following happen:

"anonymous bidders"
fake bid-ups
prolonged auctions due to low current bids
Random cancellations of auctions after a few days
Buyer's have "RL emergencies" and disappear forever.

Bids at the last minute where bids on time are magically negated because a late bid happened to be offering more.

Wow I agree with all of this, and its exactly why I won't bid on some auctions. I guess I should take my auction down. I wish eBay were still around. What am I to do? I wanted everyone to have a hand in contributing to the museum which is one of the other reasons I am having an auction. I rarely sell my items, and would only do it for this purpose. However I understand how it is difficult to trust people. Such is the risk I suffer every day of this game among other areas of my life.

You could try http://www.uo-auction.com/ or one of the other auction sites that don't sell WoW/other-games-where-it-isn't-legal gold

Only problem is players have to be members, and Catskills isn't one of the more popular shards for that particular auction site.. nothing has been since Centurio sold his site to Markeedragon way back

I personally don't want to endorse or trust using a site where their only broker was banned for duping and/or dealing with dupers.

Is this auction still going? None of the bids have been updated so its hard to tell if it or not.

Sorry to say undisclosed buyers offered me an amount I couldn't refuse for the following items...
Sheet Music
Blood Pact
Orcish Engineer Toolkit
Singing Ball
War Drum of Air
Shattered Crystal Wisp Fragment
Gladiator Boots
Sword of the Champion
Orc Helm
Burning Wood Fragments

All that is left is the sashes, dread lord head, and phoenix gloves.

I somehow missed that. Thanks Xel... and thanks for not insulting my lack of perception. *grins* Wish people would just stick to their word when they say they are gonna do something.

It's easy to miss stuff when threads like this are around. Hope that wasn't sarcasm as I was just quoting for clarity and not to make anyone look unobservant. :>

I tend to make my jabs at people a bit more direct lol, subtlety is not my specialty.

Absolutely wasn't sarcasm. I appreciate the info and the way you did phrase it *smiles*
