I'm a little annoyed that a lot of people who voted for Obama think he's going to ride in on his big white horse and save the world. Uh....get a clue! I think you're too easily impressed with a politician who can read a speech (that says nothing of value) off of a teleprompter. We have many here that do that. BTW, McCain isn't one of those.
Don't fret though, you won't have to wait 4 yrs for the "mea culpa". The only debatable part would be whether you have the balls to do it. Likely though, stepping deeper toward socialism is what you'd call a success. Should this be the case, I expect you'll have much to cheer about.

No matter what, though. America will be as great as it has been. Something tells me, though, the promise for "big changes" will either take a damn long time or will not happen. America will not "change." If he tries something that will change America in a bad way and tries to screw things up even worse there is always a way to stop it from happening, impeachment and veto's, etc. This isn't a dictatorship.

THAT is what got Obama elected. Do you realize Stern (yes, the host) had one of his guys do a man on the street interview asking people why they support Obama? The answers were unreal. This was in Harlem, but the types of responses were actually countrywide. They applied MCCAIN'S platform to Obama including claiming Obama is pro-life and the people answering said they supported Obama's stance. (Amazing considering Obama supports infanticide and the Freedom of Choice act.) They didn't have a CLUE about him. One guy was asked if he had a problem with an Obama/Palin ticket and he said NO because he supports Obama. A good number of Obama voters DO NOT THINK.

Being a house owner disqualifies me for medicare because I have a source of income. And the Government has ran S.S. so far into debt that now they want to take away my 401k and add it to S.S. and make me more dependant on them for a life No THX.
I also See that every Hosipital along the border is going into the red because of Medicaid and Medicare because its easier for a illegal alien to get it than the americans who do need it.
Your Programs might be great some day when real leaders can apply them to a system that works and doesnt hurt ppl for working hard or trying to better themselves.
Standing in a cheese line with your single mom and sister is a great motivator to make sure you finish school and never ever be back in that situation again.
It opens your eyes to what a person can do if they apply themselves at being successful in life and not relying on the government for help.

Also, Social Security has been around for the last 1/3 of this countries life, im not saying its looking very successful now, my point was, it has been one of the most successful programs in this countries history, and that its a SOCIALIST program.

Think of all of the Americans, Germans etc. who gave their lives thinking they were defending their Countries which didn't even exist. The millions of innocent people who died for nothing. Isn't it obvious why Switzerland is never involved in these fiascoes? That is where the "Bank of International Settlements" is located. Wars are manufactured to keep your eye off the ball.
