Sad news, looks like we lost EM Hawker

EM Bennu was on Siege last evening, telling he would be Siege's EM too.

Even when happy we got Bennu, I'm very sad, I did like EM Hawker and feel he did a good job. Siege is not an easy shard to EM on.

I do not know the particulars regarding the meeting you are talking about, but to be fair I, myself, and others, gave the EM some push back regarding the Governor situation in Minoc. I meant nothing personal by it, just expressed my frustration at having jumped through all the hoops then discarded. I took it as an RP opportunity to make some conflict, rivalry, cause to fight for. I am hoping the EM did not take it as a personal criticism but if he/she did then perhaps EM of Siege was not the right fit. As it was stated above, Siege is not easy, Siege can be "deadly" and an EM that would take offense to the point of quitting just because of criticism over how they handled an event or two ... Let's just say I would expect a Siege EM to take it as a challenge not cause to run and hide.

Sometimes people make mistakes, even an EM and I agree, the Minoc Governor thing could had been handled better, but in a few days, we will see who will be governor the next 6 months for Minoc.
I personly love the RP we had seen the last month. Conflicts are a good thing, special on a shard as Siege, as we do need something to fight over.

Maybe Siege really need more than one EM as most EM events need to changed to fit Siege as Siege is very different from other shards.

Then I'm right, we may need more than one EM as it is very time eating to be an EM on Siege. Maybe other shards EM helping here as a team with the main EM could draw more players to the shard too and maybe give other EM's some ideas to Fel based events.

I heard him say at his last event that he had things going on in RL and he wasn't sure of the upcoming schedule, so I hope that's what it was. I also hope things get better for him and maybe we'll see him again. His last event that ended in Bartertown was really fun, that hidden underground bunker was super cool, and I think he was starting to play into the pre-existing low key RP scene we've got going here.

I dunno if he'll come see this, but you did a great job Hawker! We'll miss you!

OMFG And here is a GIL stirring the pot again enforcing the will of the collective on all of Siege! LOL no offense but GIL does not impact my game one way or the other. Why is GIL hated..... simple you guys are the biggest guild. If it was not GIL it would some other guild.

noone ever said GIL does not do good for the shard. of course you guys do good things, you guild has half the shards population, housing and wares. you guys pretty much run things here. its almost like the rest of us just fight for scraps and if we are not "in good" with the social zerg you can pretty much expect to be blackballed. heck, im already on the **** list because i stood my ground for my guild members. but because it is in conflict with what GIL wants, my GIL will gladly endure the backlash.

its been my experience that every time something happens on siege GIL does not like you guys want to take your ball and go home. i wasnt there, but of course i had to hear all about it cuz its my guild. the governors meeting a few months back, GIL got murdered by a player, on a fel rule set shard, in a fel rule set area. he didnt break any rules, other than maybe "social siege edict". he got banned from the house. EM Hawker came an out and talked to the gulity party. he stated his case and the EM agreed that he didnt break any rules. he was well with in his right. his ban was lifted and allowed back into the building. he came in, sat down and did nothingthing more. you would think the whole world came to an end. GIL collectivly flew off the handle and boycott the rest of the meeting. from what i understand.....you guys all left and left EM Hawker high and dry.

is what i said. he probally did have alot of real life stuff going on, life does not revolve around UO but i swear some of you guys take it waaaaay to serious. i promise you, the way you guys treated him in general chat after the fact DID NOT HELP! GIL berated EM Hawker constantly from what i understand. what kind of incentive is that for him to stay and put forth a concious effort. his perception may now be, he is hated by the most popular guild on all of siege. the guild that gave him the most support and effort. that would have made my decision to leave easier if i were him. who wants to stay where they are not wanted. lets just hope he "DOES NOT" kill himself over the governors meeting or that may be now considered, in my opinion, a classic case of cyber bullying.

I had seen a lot other guilds been blamed for stuff in the past. Some of them gave up on Siege. Stop and try with some instead. Yes GIL do a lot good on the shard, so do other guilds on Siege.
We may not always agree and some of us are damn tired of GIL trying to set the rules for the shard and try to control everything and when it don't get their way, they or try to how to act to be allowed to be on the shard.

Yes that was hard words, but you was not all fair to us (the non GIL community). The last sundays, we had seen members of the Vice side choose to balance the battle and sided with GIL so it did not become a big gank GIL battle. If we hated your Guys so much, do you then think we did care if you had fun too?

You are the largest guild and can best afford the lockdowns it take and do nost IDOC. I'm sure other guilds do keep and give back soolstones.

Do you know who else he was communicating with? Not sure he told but he contacted me way before the event started and I was chatting with him on ICQ and PM here each day. I know he speaked with others too.
Lore Denin was not GIL, he had his own guild. I loved that guy, he was amazing. I'm sure he was speaking with Diablo and Hey Arnold too as Lore told me he more was doing PvP or VvV with him on other shard.

Sure he worked harder with GIL as he wanted GIL to be a part of VvV and I'm sure it was a challenge sometimes.
